How Old Is Your Heart
In a recent study by the CDC, it turns out that most Americans have hearts that are actually older than their actual age. Most men have a heart that is eight years older than they are, and most women 5 years older.
To find out how old your heart is, take this quick little quiz . Don't forget to include your BMI.

I didn't see any questions about how often you exercise nor at what intensity . IDK about this quiz ...
I thought about that, but I guess that they are not as big factors as we think they are. Anecdotally, I can tell you that they people I know who had a heart attack or stroke, were fit.
in any case, my heart came in at 46, so I won't complain. Now watch me have a stroke tomorrow.
Thinking about exercising doesn't help . You have to do it !
Well, I do, but I am not sure if it has as much of an effect on the heart and longevity as we thought.

I'm sure this is a complex issue . Some people are likely helped by exercise and some maybe not .
It said my heart was at least 1,000 years older. Which is about right, since I'm a ''shape shifter'', been around a long time in different forms.
115 years old, but blood pressure is still good.
Dear Friend Perrie: I doubt the veracity of this calculator.
The BMI does not differentiate between Endomorph, Mesomorph and Ectomorph.
Lean muscle tissue weighs more than fat cells.
At my annual physical, I had an echo stress test.
Iclimb 50-70 degree inclines for at least four hours per day (18 miles). Some days, when I have the time, and am in a zone I go for 35miles.
Following the echo stress test, my primary care physician told me that he had good news for me.He said I have the cardio-vascular system of an 18 year old. I am in my 70's. I asked how thatcould possible be good news for the 18 year old.
Cookie cutter charts do not reveal the kind of accurate information that an echo stress test will.
One out of three people who dies within minutes of their first stroke or heart attack have no history of cardio-vascular illness; and are a symptomatic.
A simple $200-$300 test which is like a mammogram of the heart so to speak is also a good predictor.
I wish one and all good health.

Older than my mind but younger than my soul.
Hiya Enoch,
Of course everyone should have a stress test. I have had several myself. That being said, they are not fail proof as you can ask 1st Warrior. That being said, that is not the purpose of the CDC study. It is far more about the impact of our life style on our hearts.
