Most members are considerate because they're aware that I'm blocked from opening youtube and even if they're not they post the names of the song and performer in text along with the link. I'm able to open almost every one with bilibili or youku, but I just discovered that Rodeo is not one of the many Garth Brooks songs to which I do have access.
Sorry to make the point in the manner that I do, but it does convey the extent of the frustration from what I am put through not so much by NT members, but by the entity that blocks sites where I am.
LOL. If you lived here you would know that the people here are no more oppressed than Americans are. It's America that has the highest incarceration rate in the world, not China. Frankly I feel safer here than I would feel if I were in the USA, especially knowing I need to own a gun there in order to protect myself and my loved ones. As for access to the news, sure many news sources are blocked, but I read USA Today, npr world news and npr American news, CTV (Canada Television News), Microsoft Bing news roundup and Crooks & Liars (for fun) every day, can even read FOXNEWS if I want, but then contrary to Americans who are limited to the bias and misinformation and disinformation and outright propaganda spread by the American and western media I also read the OTHER side of the story on the China Daily.
Sure there are certain limitations on what someone might say here, but I sure as hell have no desire to get up on a soapbox in the city square and call out what I don't think is right. I have as much freedom here as I need or want and can live here much more comfortably than would be possible on my pension income than I could possibly afford in Canada or the USA..

Not to take sides here but if you just copy and paste a youtube vid it shows smaller with the captions.
Plus it is easier and you don't have to embed it.
