Fox News contributor Sean Duffy called for Congress to cut funding to the Secret Service a day after Donald Trump thanked Democrats for all voting to increase their budget in a bipartisan vote.

On Wednesday, the former president thanked Congressional Democrats for joining with Republicans to allocate more funding to the Secret Service following the second assassination attempt against his life.

"Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn't work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone," Trump wrote. "Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to Secret Service - Zero "NO" Votes, strictly bipartisan. Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something."

However, during a Thursday airing of Outnumbered, Duffy questioned if the Secret Service intentionally failed to protect Trump and demanded Congress cut the agency's funding. Duffy fumed:

When we look at the utter failings of the Secret Service, that this shot went off. It could be incompetence, but it begs the question, was it intentional? Because you can't imagine that the Secret Service is that incompetent. And then you move from there to the Florida golf course that that shooter was allowed to stay in the bushes for, what, 12 hours and was only spotted moments before Donald Trump came into range after the July 13th assassination attempt.

Begs the question, why doesn't the Secret Service care about Donald Trump's life? And I frankly, I don't think they do. And if they want to come clean and go, listen, we're going to tell you all of our failings, what we did, what we did wrong. We're going to tell the Congress what happened here. That would make complete sense, I think. Would you feel better about it?

The problem is they're stonewalling. And I guess we're talking about Iran. I get Iran. We should be concerned about Iran. But it was the Secret Service that failed. It's it's the federal government that's stonewalling the Congress and it's Donald Trump's life at stake. And so I think there's a lot more work to be done here and a lot more accountability to be had. I don't think we can get the answers from the Secret Service. And by the way, the Congress love what they're doing, but they're not an investigative agency. They're legislative. And it's hard for them to do this work, especially when they don't have an agency that's going to cooperate.

Cut their funding.

i believe, after what Trump has done to this country, some believe it is their patriotic duty to take Trump out. I know I can’t quite comprehend how one, who has blatantly attempted to undo what so many brave and truly patriotic Americans had accomplished through great sacrifices , including life , limb , and treasure, as they are filled with displeasure, for this petty little self indulgent idiot, who obviously cares not about this once great country

That is a poor attempt to legitimize assassination.

The second suspects motive seems indeed to have been misplaced patriotism. I have been surprised it took nine years to come to this. And no, that is not death wishing.

Hell, no, and absolutely nothing in my comments would lead anyone to think I do.

for one who’s constantly complaining about words being inserted by others, your interpretation of my words, is wrong. Where did i “legitimize “

Anything ?

I stated my observation as what I believe drives these individuals.

This country means so much more, than this dickheaded deuce dealing drag on our deprived from reality deushed  up current country made up of misguided morons who’ve made a hero of one who i consider a Traitor, and direct threat to our democracy.

If Trump abided by our Constitution, accepted behavior & norms, I don’t believe his life would be threatened, but as he threatens so many, while fooling so many, it gives reason a plenty, for true patriots to do what they believe to be an ultimate patriotic duty. I’m not applauding or condoning such behavior, i’m explaining what i believe to be causing it .

It is idiotic to think that it would be patriotic to kill Trump. Not saying you think that.

my answer was a little incomplete, i stated it was “ my opinion”,

.

My opinion , As in to what is driving persons to consider actually terminating the life of one whom that they feel truly is a threat to our country.

I would much rather prefer that Trump be defeated at the polls and he not die as some sort of a misguided minions martyr, cause he is a self absorbed sponge looking to sop up any and all praise and to flail, flail hisbBS all about so as to not end up in jail.

.

But, to better explain your question posed, perhaps direct it to Tex, for just as i applauded he not speaking for me, i’d rather he explain his answer regarding our country, tis of thee abd his own strategy

The former 'president' con-man traitor convicted felon rapist should pay for his own security.  I mean he's an alleged billionaire, he can afford it or let the republicons pay for it out of their pockets.

Trump never came "in range" or line of sight in Florida.  Duffy ( never heard of him before )  is grandstanding and gaslighting.

Melania Gets Conspiratorial Over Trump Assassination Attempt on Fox News: ‘Mainstream Media’ Suddenly ‘Became Quiet’

Tommy ChristopherSep 26th, 2024, 2:43 pm 3-3 minutes   9/26/2024

Former First Lady   Melania Trump   told Fox News host   Ainsley Earhardt   she has “a lot of questions” about the attempts to assassinate former President   Donald Trump , fleshing out suspicions she’s raised before.

In support of her new book   Melania , Mrs. Trump posted black and white teaser videos to social media — one of which   raised eyebrows   with its conspiratorial tone.

“I can’t help but wonder: Why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech? There is definitely more to this story. And we need to uncover the truth,” she said in the video.

On Thursday’s   edition  of  Fox & Friends , Earhardt rolled out her exclusive interview with Melania — her first in more than two years — over the course of two segments.

In one exchange, Earhardt   asked about the   involvement of a “higher power” in keeping Trump from being killed — a popular premise among Trump   supporters   and   allies

Following that exchange, Earhardt asked about the video, and Melania explained her suspicions a little bit more, then blamed people “branding him a threat to democracy”:

AINSLEY EARHARDT And then we were told this week and we were told that authorities have already known this for a while, that there wasn’t a Iranian plot to kill your husband. So I watched this video that you released on social media questioning the first assassination attempt for the second one. If they knew that there was this plot, why didn’t they sweep the golf course?

MELANIA TRUMP You know, it’s interesting how quiet and everything became all of the mainstream media. There were few days, reporting about July 13th event and everything then became quiet. So I had a lot of questions. What’s going on? It’s this is not normal. And is it really shocking that all these egregious violence,. Goes against my husband, especially that we hear the leaders from the opposition party and mainstream media branding him as, threat to democracy, calling him vile names. They only fueling a toxic atmosphere and giving power all of these people that they want to do harm to him. This needs to stop. This needs to stop. The country needs to unite. And I encourage everybody to read my letter that I wrote on July 14th. Again, because that cannot continue.

AINSLEY EARHARDT Letter was very powerful. What made you get to the point of writing that letter?

MELANIA TRUMP That’s how I felt. That’s how I felt.
