Paul Simon called David Draiman and told him, "You did our song better than we did".

I have to admit, it gives me chills.

It's an interesting take, but I prefer the original by far.

Both have their pros for sure, but think I like this version better. For those not familiar with "Disturbed", this is their usual fare. The "featured" video shows that they are indeed musically talented with a lot of range.

I liked it.  However, it’s such a well crafted song to begin with that it would be hard to ruin it, imo.  Even the Dickies did it justice in the punk genre of 1979.

Gotta admit it, I like that version too.

I.  Love.  This.  Cover.  It's very powerful.  Also worthy of note, David Draiman is really cute.

My wife said she wants the vocal track played at her funeral.

Disturbed has done a lot of covers.  To included

  • "Shout" (Tears for Fears),
  • "Land of Confusion (Genesis)
  • I Still haven't Found What I'm Looking For" (U2)
  • "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" (Sting)
  • "Fade To Black" (Metallica)
  • "Living After Midnight" (Judas Priest)
  • "Midlife Crisis" (Faith No More)

While I do like said cover by Disturbed, traditionalist that I am, I still prefer the S&G original most of all.
