This is the face of pure evil.  Health care rationing, age quotas, government determining who lives or dies, it deciding whether a life has quality or not.  Thank God for President Trump and operation warp speed. Fortunately, while he’s President our vulnerable seniors  like my mom will get it first and already have it before that monster 👺 assumes power and puts the seniors to the back of the line!

Biden advisor: Elderly should be first to die, last to live

One of the heads of the task force is the infamous Dr. Death, Ezekiel Emanuel, who was one of the brains behind Obamacare. He is most notorious for opining that people have no useful life beyond the age of 75...

Conservatives believe in the sanctity of every human life from the moment of conception until natural death. Joe Biden does not, and that’s bad news for Grandma. In fact, it’s even bad news for Joe Biden, who at 78 is already three years past Ezekiel Emanuel’s drop-dead date.

Because of the value we place on human life, it’s been my position from day one in this coronavirus panic-demic that we make the elderly our highest priority. Our focus, I suggest, should be on the elderly, since they are the most vulnerable among us. Each assisted living facility should be stocked with enough HCQ and azithromycin to provide a course of treatment for every resident at the first sign of symptoms.

For everyone else, the nationwide approach I suggest is that we let everybody live their normal lives as they see fit without any restrictions. If someone gets sick, he should stay home and immediately start a regimen of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), which is amazingly effective if taken as soon as symptoms appear.

Joe Biden’s Coronavirus task force is a nightmare for people who love their aging parents. One of the heads of the task force is the infamous Dr. Death, Ezekiel Emanuel, who was one of the brains behind Obamacare. He is most notorious for opining that people have no useful life beyond the age of 75, a view he reiterated in the September issue of  Science  magazine.

He uses the Standard Expected Years of Life Lost to identify people who don’t have enough productive years left to be worthy of care. Under his metric, people who live beyond their life expectancy are considered valueless. Consequently, Dr. Death believes that people 75 and over have aged out and therefore should be put on the lowest and last rung of eligibility for a COVID vaccine.

In a 2019 interview, he said:

These people who live a vigorous life to 70, 80, 90 years of age — when I look at what those people ‘do,’ almost all of it is what I classify as play,” Emanuel said. “It’s not meaningful work. They’re riding motorcycles; they’re hiking. Which can all have value — don’t get me wrong. But if it’s the main thing in your life? Ummm, that’s not probably a meaningful life.

There’s a staggering level of hubris, that Emanuel thinks he knows not only what makes his life meaningful but yours too. And if your life does not have enough meaning to suit him, he is prepared to deny you medicine which could extend your life. The  vaccine priority model Emanuel proposes  would  exclude those over age 75 from receiving a COVID vaccine  until no shortages exist anywhere in the world.

Dr. Death has yet to be asked if his standard should apply to Joe Biden, who is 78 and therefore already past his sell-by date.

Thus in prioritizing vaccine distribution, under BidenCare your grandmother starts at the end of the line and only gets the vaccine if everyone in the world gets it first. Those who ought to be first will instead be last.

Lockdown-addicted politicians are prohibiting families from inviting Grandma over for Thanksgiving, even though this might be her last one. The governor of Washington, Jay Inslee,  instructs families  in the Evergreen State to “review your guest list,” and baldly declares that disinviting Grandma is actually an expression of love. “Remember, it’s an act of caring to  decide not to invite people who have a higher risk of getting very sick  from COVID-19.”

Where all this leads can be seen in 104-year-old Mary Fowler, a resident at a care home in Scotland. You may listen  here  to the heart-wrenching testimony of what lockdowns are doing to this woman who desperately wants to see her family but is being prevented from doing so by some heartless medical bureaucrat. If she were to reach for some hydroxychloroquine, Ezekiel would slap her hand and say, “Not your turn, sister. You’re past your use-by date. Time to just go ahead and die.”

Mary says tearfully:

I want my family, though.

This is my right. Please help. It’s cutting me to bits.

I must see my kids. Time’s getting on for me. I must see my children and make things like they used to be. Please help me, help me. Please, please help.

I hope you like that scene because you’ll get a lot more of it in Joe Biden’s America.

Trump Signs $2 Trillion Virus Bill, Largest Ever U.S. Stimulus

By  Jordan Fabian and Justin Sink

President Donald Trump signed the largest stimulus package in U.S. history on Friday, a $2 trillion bill intended to rescue the coronavirus-battered economy.

“This will deliver urgently needed relief,” Trump told reporters at the White House, as he was joined by GOP leaders but no Democrats. “We’re going to keep our small businesses strong and our big businesses strong.”

That is a hard sell and you know it. Joe Biden is a senior; "a man of a certain age."  He has not shied away from his age. Indeed, he has confronted and surpassed those individuals who tried to make something of his aging: He has become president over and beyond his opponent! So now it's on to clowning around with "blue-face" and malicious untruths about "death panels" and the like??! This strategy will fail.

BTW, I extend a challenge here and now: Walk in the fruits of the Spirit!

Lets be honest. Profit increases when moneys otherwise intended for the care of the sick and elderly can be diverted to wealthy CEOs and the Pentagon perpetual war machine. This is a bipartisan matter. Both mainstream parties support profit, and both have participated in the back to work drive, although the GOP has largely led it. Politically speaking, the notion that society should care for their sick and elderly is tied to the horrid socialist agenda. Isn't it.

You know, I take your larger point. But, IMT, you really should not come across as 'hastily' rubbing salt into a wound. Dr. Emanuel needs to clean up something he stated 6 years ago in an article or lecture. He may not feel that way anymore or it could be true that he still does personally and/or professionally.

There is no proper space for a socialist to 'bum-rush' in and suggest it's all no good and the participants are ALL frauds! We've been and are going through quite enough (and are smarting a lot) of that right now already!

....”The Federalist reports Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who serves on Biden’s coronavirus task force, seemed to suggest in a September article that Americans over 75 should wait for the vaccine out of “fairness” to the rest of the world.

Emanuel, who also was an adviser to the Obama administration, has faced criticism for years for promoting ageist arguments. A bioethicist at the University of Pennsylvania, he wrote an article about how he wants to die by age 75 because life is not worth living past that point. He suggested other older Americans should consider “whether our consumption is worth our contribution.” He also wrote a piece in the New York Times encouraging Americans to “Skip Your Annual Physical.”

Now, he appears to be promoting a plan that would deny the coronavirus vaccine to those most vulnerable to die from the virus: elderly Americans.  A vaccine could be available within the next several months after two companies announced final testing on a coronavirus vaccine this fall.

According to The Federalist:

In a Science article in September, in which Emanuel argued for distributing vaccine doses overseas out of “fairness” and argued against “vaccine nationalism” in which countries kept “too much” of the vaccine for themselves, he wrote, “we propose using Standard Expected Years of Life Lost (SEYLL) averted per dose of vaccine as the metric for premature death.” This method renders the lives of people who have already lived beyond their country’s life expectancy as valueless. In the CDC’s definition, the cut-off is even sooner: only deaths occurring before age 75 are deemed “premature” and counted towards “years of potential life lost.” Yes, the very vaccine priority model Emanuel proposes would exclude those over age 75 from receiving a COVID vaccine, at least until availability is widespread and no shortages exist, globally.

It’s not clear if that also would apply to Biden, who is about to turn 78.

SUPPORT LIFENEWS! To help us stand against Joe Biden’s abortion agenda

For years, Emanuel has written and talked about how life loses meaning after age 75. In a 2019 interview, he said only a “small number” of people live well in their 80s.

“These people who live a vigorous life to 70, 80, 90 years of age — when I look at what those people ‘do,’ almost all of it is what I classify as play,” Emanuel said. “It’s not meaningful work. They’re riding motorcycles; they’re hiking. Which can all have value — don’t get me wrong. But if it’s the main thing in your life? Ummm, that’s not probably a meaningful life.”

Health leaders and bioethicists have been warning about Emanuel’s anti-life philosophies for more than a decade. In 2009, Betsy McCaughey, a former chair of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths and a former lieutenant governor of New York, wrote:

As a bioethicist, he has written extensively about who should get medical care, who should decide, and whose life is worth saving.
Dr. Emanuel is part of a school of thought that redefines a physician’s duty, insisting that it includes working for the greater good of society instead of focusing only on a patient’s needs. Many physicians find that view dangerous, and most Americans are likely to agree.... read more: https://www.lifenews.com/2020/11/16/biden-coronavirus-advisor-people-older-than-75-should-get-vaccines-last/

Well, if this is the case, and I won't research all the links this morning if at all, then I will have to do this:

  1. Heartedly disagree with Dr. Emanuel's POV.  As I stated (above), Dr. Fauci and many others in our local and national politics are well near and beyond 75 years of age. Dr. Emanuel's statement is arbitrary and probably a personal opinion.
  2. If when asked for more elaboration, Dr. Emanuel can not be professionally dissuaded of his ageism POV, then he does not deserve a public policy advisory position, in my opinion.
  3. He should voluntarily remove himself from consideration and public service on matters of age!

The Biden Administration which will need to hit the ground running does not need an 'anchor' of stubborn prejudice setting the 'talk' and making a first impression in the news!

The "sentiment" is at least six years old I am told. That said, Biden should ask the now 63 year old Zeke E., to clarify his current view of 75 years old and beyond. And, if it can not be reconciled positively upwards of 75 years to life; then, Zeke Emmanuel has shot himself in the political foot and should not be on the panel.

SORRY!

A doctor whom President-elect Joe Biden has appointed to advise about the coronavirus is facing criticism for an article he wrote six years ago in which he argued that he had no aspiration to live beyond the age of 75.

Emanuel made it clear in the piece that he he opposed physician-assisted suicide, and did not want to reach 75 and then simply die.

That statement above on the surface seems unclear, however, it is clear Emanuel is talking about natural death stemming from no extraordinary measures to stay alive beyond an arbitrary age of 75 years . It is still a dismissive statement that ignores a lot of living that can be done to save life and lives. Case in point. Dr. Anthony Fauci is 79 years old and he is definitely going to be a senior advisor on the taskforce advisory board.

Zeke, has some 'plaining to do. And he should get started right away doing so. Before the 'wolves' rent him from political limb to limb.

Well with the announcement yesterday about vaccines beginning distribution on December 12, and 20,000,000 full doses distributed by the end of the year and likely another 25,000,000 before the 20th of January it seems moot as by then most of the people he wanted to be last will have already been vaccinated as along with hospital workers Trump has them at the front of the line.  My bigger objection to him has to do with his continued to this day advocacy for a three month total and complete mandatory national lockdown.

Heavy duty n95 and more might be effective but the cloth ones and the cheap paper ones most are using are virtually useless.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says he and other seniors are willing to die from virus to save economy

Yep.  He wanted seniors to sacrifice themselves in order to save the economy.  His political career, as well as Greg Abbott's, are coming to a close.

Actually it is.

Far right wing lying fascists would never admit to it, of course.

He said no such thing.

This is bullshit, XX or whoever you are.  Complete and total bullshit.  This is what Dan Patrick said a few months ago, word per word.  Joe Biden cares about every citizen of this country and that includes you, Pappy.

“It’s not meaningful work. They’re riding motorcycles; they’re hiking. Which can all have value — don’t get me wrong. But if it’s the main thing in your life? Ummm, that’s not probably a meaningful life.

That is a helluva thing to say. I spent a lot of time with my great grandparents and grandparents. Every bit of it meaningful. This is the mindset that is hurting us. The nuggets of wisdom that can be shared by those 75 and older are alone enough. That doesn't even touch on the value added to grand children and great grand children. Those fortunate enough to have had grandparents around understand this.

On this we are in total agreement.  Fortunately while Trump is President your great grandparents and grandparents along with the medical persons who care for them will be first in line to get it and likely have already had it if Biden is sworn in on Jan. 20.

Try to capitalize on Zeke's six year old article statement all you wish, as it will likely reveal your partisan agenda and nothing less. Donald Trump was not a caring and concern person while 250, 000 plus fell silent and Donald golfed!  Furthermore, the election is over. Donald Trump lost!

"Operation Warpspeed" will be to his credit as president. And for a good work we all thank Donald Trump.

Do not confuse any proper thanks Donald Trump should receive into a suggestion that he was not a royal pain in the Trumphole in many other areas of his presidency! We will  not discount Donald's many, many, flaws and errors.

Yep, that's what the far right was saying about Obamacare (grandma being euthanized). Just more fear tactics from the far right wing.

Obviously MAGA you and Trump want the first dose and screw everybody else.

CB - I love you more than my holiday butt-plumping Spanx (that I actually wear year-around), but Donald Trump has never in his life come up with an idea that benefitted anyone other than himself.

LOL! "Baby got back!"  But, I have thought long and hard about this one and I feel good about sharing this one with Donald. Even the Devil deserves what's due! Thus I give it up willingly. We need these medicines and vaccines so we can get to work. And a president is intended to help and protect us all! What Donald's issues and problems are begin with compulsive lying such that he simply can not be trusted, and ultimately ends with how dangerous he is for how he chooses to talk and behave with others-us.

Okay- pack me a holiday 'butt' and ship by Prime Delivery this week. And don't forget to put in the receipt cause I might choose to return 'damaged' product. (Chuckles.)

Sister, you are my "moment" and I love you like that!

Six years ago, that was a rather coarse thing for a doctor to state - if only because of professional appearances.  Dr. Emanuel needs to speak up and clarify this in the present or step out of the public frame. Do not make himself an unforced error on the incoming administration.

I would imagine this was in the context of a hypothetical care rationing scenario. When you have one ventilator and two patients who need it do you give the ventilator to the twenty year old or the seventy five year old - all other factors being equal? If you're trying to come up with some objective metric you say what meaningful amount of life does each patient have left - and then then in context this all seems fairly reasonable - but please shed some more crocodile tears.

I will not in any way endorse any sort of medical rationing nor make any rationalizations or excuses for it.  If a government health care system can’t avoid rationing we don’t need a government controlled health care system.
