The Coronavirus 5: These ‘Model’ Dem Governors are Now Facing Political Disaster
they lied about the Democratic governors that America was supposed to follow — all for purely political reasons. This much is becoming readily apparent to millions of Americans. When it is this blatant that the news media unfailingly supports Democrats, regardless of their claims, and vilifies Republicans, regardless of whether or not their policies are good for Americans, you get the right to call people ‘liars.’

Finally justice is about to be served.  It couldn’come soon enough for these evil wannabe dictators who ran rough shod over their citizens by decree and used an iron fist and a Jack boot on those who dared to dissent or act in opposition to their divine holiness.  It’s about time and thank you to Govs Noem and DeSantis for leading the correct way.

The Coronavirus 5: These ‘Model’ Dem Governors are Now Facing Political Disaster

The news media lied. They lied from the very beginning about the success of lockdowns, which there is no international or state-level data to support. They lied about mask mandates, which similarly has no data to support. It lied about virtually everything related to the coronavirus.

On top of it all, they lied about the Democratic governors that America was supposed to follow — all for purely political reasons. This much is becoming readily apparent to millions of Americans.

When it is this blatant that the news media unfailingly supports Democrats, regardless of their claims, and vilifies Republicans, regardless of whether or not their policies are good for Americans, you get the right to call people ‘liars.’

Journalists are supposed to be professional researchers, and yet, they routinely and almost unwaveringly fail to hold Democratic politicians accountable. But when millions of Americans were suffering, when tens of thousands were losing their businesses and their life’s dreams were being shattered, when their children were being shut out of schools and everyday life, the news media did not care one bit if their alarmism was backed by actual scientific data. No, there were restrictive and destructive blue state lockdowns to unquestionably support, all evidence to the contrary be damned.

The spectacular collapse of five of the left-wing media’s darling governors should give every American pause whether to trust the charlatans who spoon-fed us these lies ever again.

ANDREW CUOMO

CUOMOCONCERNED.jpg

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo once made a remarkable admission that may prove to be his administration’s epitaph: “Incompetent government kills people.”

15,000 deaths are now understood to be directly tied to Cuomo’s disastrous executive order in March that mandated that nursing home residents that tested positive for coronavirus at medical facilities be returned to nursing homes, despite that population’s extremely high vulnerability to the virus.

Indeed, Cuomo was seeking to avoid revealing the true nursing home mortality data, which showed that deaths were 40% higher than were reported because it might be exposed by the Trump administration.

In a conference call whose contents were leaked to the press, Cuomo referred to President Trump’s pressure on the governor, according to Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa:

“He starts tweeting that we killed everyone in nursing homes,” DeRosa said. “He starts going after [New Jersey Gov. Phil] Murphy, starts going after [California Gov. Gavin] Newsom, starts going after [Michigan Gov.] Gretchen Whitmer.”

Governor Cuomo is now under heavy fire from the left, but not for killing thousands of nursing residents unnecessarily with his deadly decree. It is because he has been accused another time of alleged sexual harassment.

Much like Speaker Pelosi with her “ 9/11 style commission ” to investigate the Capitol riots, Cuomo has appointed an “independent” investigation into the allegations.

“Gov. Cuomo has selected former federal judge Barbara Jones to conduct an ‘independent investigation’ into sexual harassment allegations made against him,” the Guardian reported . “She was appointed by Bill Clinton and once worked with Steve Cohen, Gov. Cuomo’s top advisor.”

GRETCHEN WHITMER

WHITMER.jpg

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has been one of the most heavy-handed and arbitrary governors in the United States when it comes to handling the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, Republican state legislators in Michigan are calling for an investigation into Whitmer’s handling of nursing homes, based on a decree similar to Cuomo’s.

“Gov. Whitmer’s regional hub policy placed patients with and without COVID-19 in the same facilities and may have exacerbated the death toll in those facilities,” the statement read.

Whitmer’s policies have been so disastrous for the Wolverine state, that bordering Indiana business owners branded her the “Indiana Business Person of the Year.”

GAVIN NEWSOM

GAVINNEWSOMMAD-scaled.jpg

California Governor Gavin Newsom was another golden boy who lost his shine as the pandemic wore on. One of the earliest states to “lock down,” the policies proved to be utterly futile, but extremely costly for millions of Californians.

In November, Newsom was infamously exposed for his utter hypocrisy attending a private dinner party after telling Californians to not even dare think about doing such a thing.

More recently, Newsom is facing a backlash over yet another private event in a state where indoor dining is banned.

The narrative is that it is ‘okay’ because everyone was wearing masks. Oops.

Newsom is facing a recall effort that has over 1.5 million signatures; but due to the state of California suddenly kicking into overdrive to remove as many signatures as possible, it will likely take more to put the effort over-the-top.

PHIL MURPHY

MURPHY.jpg

New Jersey has been the worst-managed stat e in the United States when it comes to COVID response, barely edging out Cuomo’s New York. One of the reasons is yet another disastrous nursing home order.

In August, the Department of Justice had issued a request to four states that had issued orders that senior residents be returned to nursing homes:

The Justice Department requested COVID-19 data from the governors of states that issued orders which may have resulted in the deaths of thousands of elderly nursing home residents. New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan required nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients to their vulnerable populations, often without adequate testing.

A petition is calling for the New Jersey governor to be investigated.

“More than 7,300 residents of New Jersey’s nursing homes, veterans homes, and long-term care facililties have died from COVID-19,” the petition states. “Nearly half of the state’s coronavirus deaths have occurred among these vulnerable populations.”

“Whistleblowers have hinted that dangerous policy directives, misrepresented data, and arbitrary decision-making by the Murphy Administration contributed to a wildfire of infection and death in these facilities that could have been prevented,” it added.

TOM WOLF

WOLF-scaled.jpg

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is also guilty of issuing a deadly nursing home order.

“Following New York State legislators call for an investigation into nursing home deaths, Pennsylvania GOP members are requesting an investigation into Governor Tom Wolf’s policies that sent COVID-19 positive residents, back into nursing and personal home care facilities,” WETM reported.

A letter sent to the state’s Attorney General Shapiro states: “PA DOH indicates more than half of the COVID-19 related deaths in Pennsylvania have been attributable to nursing and personal home care populations.”

“Over 12 thousand deaths have been reported at long-term care facilities out of the 23,413 deaths,” the report notes.

The implosion of these Democratic governors’ public image should serve as a warning to the American people about the mainstream media. Beware of anyone that the media excessively lionizes, just as much as whomever they vilify.

15,000 deaths are now understood to be directly tied to Cuomo’s disastrous executive order in March that mandated that nursing home residents that tested positive for coronavirus at medical facilities be returned to nursing homes, despite that population’s extremely high vulnerability to the virus.

This is demonstrably untrue. Approximately 15,000  deaths have been added to the count for nursing homes (and taken away from the hospitals count) when the residents died in the hospital setting. The cause of these infections is still believed to be community spread from the outside via workers who did not know that they had the virus at the time. The order in question that mandated the return of individuals to nursing homes after they had been treated for Covid-19 but before they tested negative for traces of the virus said that the settings to which they returned needed to have adequate isolation techniques in place to prevent spread. The reason for this was so the hospitals could keep open the beds that would have been occupied by seniors who had recovered from the worst of the illness.

Was it the wrong choice? Maybe, but a choice had to be made and he made it. All in all, I think that his response to the pandemic and the way that he dealt with it (once he realized that it was REAL) was among the best examples of leadership that I have seen. It was forthright and (mostly) honest.

As far as the accusations against him, I will see how that plays out. On the one hand, it seems as if he would have learned from the Clinton debacle, and on the other hand, how is a single state governor supposed to get any? Getting to know you is considered grooming and call girls... well, Eliot Spitzer tried that, and look where it got him.

Considering your handle, your bar for tyrants is awfully low.

Just because someone doesn't do what you like does not make them a tyrant.

Definition of tyrant

1a: an absolute ruler unrestrained by law or constitution
b: a usurper of sovereignty
2a: a ruler who exercises absolute power oppressively or brutally
b: one resembling an oppressive ruler in the harsh use of authority or power
Just for the record, I do not consider any elected American official to be a tyrant. Even Trump was not one, yet.

The cover up, as it was, was a mistake. A cover up is always worse than the reason you are covering things up.

I think he knew that there was nothing good to be had by releasing the figures and decided to kick the can down the road until after the state was on a little more balanced footing. He had to know it would come out eventually.

These days, every time Newsom opens his mouth, I wish I were in the room, so I could tell him what a liar he is.

Back in January, schools were ready to reopen when he single handedly changed the rules, and so schools remained closed. Ever since this recall talk started, he keeps going on TV to say he wants the schools to reopen. But he is the one who caused them to be closed and he could single-handedly cause them to open. He could do it tonight. But he won’t. So, every time he advocates for schools reopening, you know he is lying. A lying liar.

If he says he cares about the kids, he doesn’t. He cares about all the money the teacher’s union will raise to reelect him. Period. End of story.

I’m just glad that I live in a part of the state where schools have been open for in person education since August.  We had a couple of two week distance learning periods but most schools have been in person or hybrid here since the beginning of the school year. Recall Newscum!

One could apply that logic to how McConnell arranged the timing of the Senate trial then insisted it was too late to be Constitutional.

A real stretch in any case.

I can't tell you how much I don't give a shit about McConnell, the Senate, or impeachment trials. I've said it a jillion times, but it obviously bears repeating. As much noise as people make about national politics, it doesn't matter in the lives of regular people even 1/1000th as much as local politics does. In fact, it's offensive the way Washington politicians try to score points with sound bites about what they are going to do for the schools. Year in and year out, they have almost no impact on schools because that's just not how things are organized.

Since the inception of the federal Dept. of Education, we have spent billions (if not trillions by now) on education and seen our world ranking slip lower and lower.

Seems as though we actually did a better job (based on world rankings) without the federal government being so involved. Gee, imagine THAT!

And the life and social costs of the lockdowns more than outweigh the differences.  Depression, domestic violence, drug overdoses, other substance abuse, education losses, economic losses, loss of individual economic, religious freedom, rights, liberty. The costs of the lockdowns can’t be over estimated.

Researchers call Sturgis rally a 'superspreader event', while Noem calls COVID-19 report 'fiction'

The Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota should be linked to 266,796 of COVID-19 cases reported nationwide between Aug. 2 and Sept. 2, the researchers said, and should be considered a virus superspreader event, or a situation where a smaller number of people spread the disease to a much larger population.
