Who Are Your Favorite Movie Characters ?
Not the actor, not the movie, but the character in the movie. Characters in made for tv movies or miniseries can be included.
I think all of us have many favorite characters, but here are a few of mine.
Frank Bullitt in Bullitt (Steve McQueen)
Sully in Nobody's Fool (Paul Newman)
Rooster Cogburn in True Grit (John Wayne)
Viola deLesseps in Shakespeare In Love (Gywneth Paltrow)
Annie in Speed (Sandra Bullock)
Michael in The Deerhunter (Robert DeNiro)
Yvonne Biasi in It Could Happen To You (Bridget Fonda)
Gus McRae in Lonesome Dove (Robert Duvall)
Favorite character? That's a hard one. There are so many good characters to choose from: Indiana Jones, John McClane, Darth Vader, Marty McFly, Frank Drebin, ect.. The list goes on & on.
Walt kowalski
Good one.
One of mine, too
That's EXACTLY who I was thinking of for mine!!!
Charles Bronson (Paul Kersey) Death Wish
Al Swearengen
It is a tough one. There are quite a few I liked.
I'll narrow it down to these two:
Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle in "American Sniper"
or
James Woods as Roy Cohn in "Citizen Cohn"
Jack Ryan ..... numerous actors, numerous movies but Alec Baldwin in the Hunt for the Red October was up there .....
Bill and Ted.
"Excellent!"
Mr. Hobbs - quiet, patient, very patient, very very patient, and in the end surgically ruthless. The poster boy for "revenge is a dish best served cold."
And all for love.
I may watch it again tonight.
Bo "Bandit" Darville by Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit
Lol ... that one clearly fits you.
Are you kidding? I could name them for the next few hours....surely you know how much I love movies.
Gandalf - Ian McKellan in the LOTR trilogy
Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice (either Lawrence Olivier or Colin Firth)
Atticus Finch - Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird
Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman)
O-Lan - Louise Rainer in The Good Earth

James Bond - only Sean Connery, in all his James Bond movies
Henry Jones Jr. - Harrison Ford in all his Indiana Jones movies
POTUS Jeb Bartlett - Martin Sheen in The West Wing TV series
and about 50 others....
Ooops! Memory lapse. The 9th one should be Monte Wildhorn, not Monty Whitehorn. I was close, at least.

Spiccoli in Fast times a Ridgemont high. Sean Penn played a great stoner.
"All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine."
