Splattered Ink Animal Portraits

Chinese-born paint-splatter and street artist Hua Tunan is back it again with a series of stunning new animal portraits. Using a unique combinationof traditional Chinese painting and Western street art, his work has won acclaim around the world. We previously wrote about him here , when he first went viral after creating a beautiful owl out of multicolored dashes of paint.

Hua Tunan, real name Cheng Yingjie, was born in Born in 1991 in Foshan, Guangdong. He has his own studio in Foshan, China, and has worked with famous brands such as Louis Vuitton, Adidas, NIKE, Jaguar, Volvo, and Disney. His signature chaotic painting style can be created on canvases and wall-sized murals alike.

Hua Tunan is presently holding his first solo exhibition at Chicagos Galerie F , so if youre in the neighborhood, check him out!

Very cool technique....!

Excellent work!

I wonder how long it took to develop and refine the technique?

Thanks for the feedback

When I thin of splatter I think of a mess and chaos and then I see these objects of pure beauty as a result of splatter art and it is just amazing.

Almost engraving-like; these all appear to show spontaneity and great control simultaneously now that's an artistic paradigm!

A Mac

You said it much better than I - I thought of beauty from chaos when I saw the images and thought about what splattered ink artwork entailed.

Thanks for the perspective

I became quite fascinated here where I am with the many different forms of pictorial artwork - the many techniques in creating them. As I see here there has to be an unending number of ways of creating beautiful art.

Good point

It would seem that the methods and media for creating things of beauty are limited only by the imagination and talent of the artists among us

Thanks for the feedback
