The CIA’s Gina Haspel Deserves America’s Gratitude

I have just two words for accused waterboarder and CIA-director nominee Gina Haspel:

Thank you .

As the U.S. and its allies have hammered this vicious, militant-Islamic terrorist group into apparent oblivion, it’s easy to forget that al-Qaeda kept America and the rest of Civilization wide awake every night, asking, “What happens next?” Could Osama bin Laden and his cave-dwelling savages stage another September 11 massacre? After they murdered 2,996 people and wounded 7,356 others among the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93’s crash site in Shanksville, Pa., Americans fretted that al-Qaeda would return for more carnage — possibly even with chemical, biological, or atomic weapons.

As the ruins of the Twin Towers and the Defense Department’s headquarters smoldered for months, Americans and our leaders — from Capitol Hill to the White House — demanded that the butchers of September 11 be picked up, punished, and prevented from perpetrating fresh mayhem.
So, brave people like Gina Haspel got busy. The 33-year veteran CIA officer (whose U.S. Senate confirmation hearings began this morning) and her foreign counterparts tracked down al-Qaeda members. Some were killed straight away. Good. Others were captured alive. Even better.

ome al-Qaeda murderers who were caught spoke readily. Others did so after facing such disincentives to silence as hot or cold detention cells, tobacco smoke in their faces, sleep deprivation, loud music, and — according to one report — “a forced bath using a stiff brush.”
Others resisted, which required additional inducements for them to share their knowledge. This is where waterboarding came in.

Despite what the Left would like Americans to believe, the CIA and other U.S. authorities did not waterboard random Muslim men who were nabbed while strolling home from their local mosques. Nor was footage of their waterboarding hand-delivered to the White House so that President G. W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney could enjoy it, along with soda and Jiffy Pop.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Democrats now weep like widows over how terribly mean Haspel was to those poor, defenseless al-Qaeda volunteers. But soon after the September 11 slaughter, Democrats’ eyes were drier than Dubai. Rather than the retroactive mercy that they now show al-Qaeda, these very same Democrats back then wanted to squeeze these Islamofascist scum until they squealed.

There are certainly scumbags on both sides of the isle.......however hypocrisy seems to found a permanent home on the left side. All that you need to identify a liberal's worst transgressions is to listen to what they lecture others about.

Hillary and female empowerment is a great example........Kalifornia's gay liberal activist caught with kiddie porn......Eric Schneiderman and the #MeToo movement....the ( Deleted, CoC {SP} ) that want to revoke the second amendment vs the ( Deleted {SP} ) that targeted Republican congressmen involved in a charity sports event in Washington...... the Democratic National Committee and election tampering.....Heck, the DNC is an equal opportunity election tampering entity as Dems have tampered with Israel's elections using tax payer money, tampered in US presidential elections using Russians to provide phony intel and have even rigged their own primaries. Labeling and/or creative name-calling of entire political groups, ideological, religious, cultural, sexual identity / orientation, etc. groups (i.e. Rethuglicans, Libtards, etc), is forbidden

In fact, when I hear liberals try selling their hypocritical hogwash that "liberals LOVE children" I immediately think of Liberal abortionists killing at least a half million babies a year since Roe v Wade, and liberals refusal to secure our borders against terrorists, drug dealers and MS-13 gang members that prey on our children.

Deleted, Sweeping generalization, {SP}

Amen Brother, Amen. Seems the same liberal goobers that cheer on antifa as they burn down campuses and assault American vets in wheelchairs, the same liberal goobers that whine about their right to rip human babies from the womb and drown them in formaldehyde - the same goobers that support and protect rapists like Slick Willie Klinton, pedophiles Larry Brinkin and woman beaters like Scneiderman and Purvey Sweinstein only get upset when convicted killers are put to death or you make the life of a cowardly terrorist uncomfortable while trying to find out who they plan to kill next.

Leftist hypocrisy - Celebrate the capture and execution of Osama Bin Laden but mock, marginalize and complain about the American heroes that caught him.

Yep. Pelosi and Schumer both stated publically they would never sign the Iran Nuke deal, forcing Dingle-Barry to employ his "pen and phone" style executive ruling....and then they mock and harangue Trump when he cancels Obama's illegal act. Same with DACA. They badgered Trump to do something about Obamas illegal order to allow DACA kids to stay - and when Trump cancelled the illegal order he offered the goobers a chance to keep all the DACA recipients and their families here - they refused. Same with Trump's nomination for CIA director - the goobers have supported her in the past, just as they supported he predecessor and his directives - but now want to block her.

Same with 9/11 issues. Pelosi was in All the meetings, according to her, about what was going on. Chucky crybaby Schumer too.

Not one of them said NO to anything !

Gotta love Sen. Warner's questioning of Haspel. As if he had some "Holier than thou" epiphany of his concerns before he didn't when he questioned Brennen, who was over and above Haspel at the time. Mr. Warner Loved him some Brennen then. Brennen was Dumbos pick after all. Big hugs

Funny on that Brennen thingy. McCain Loved Brennen too. Thumbs Up 2

This is just another Liberal "I hate Trump" thing when it comes to Haspel running the CIA. They weren't worried about her before they were laughing dude

Sad to see McCain slowly losing his ability to reason. He was once a lucid, logical thinker and an American hero. Apprently the cancer he's dealing with has robbed him of his ability to understand anything but the most primitive of emotions - turning his life's disappointments into a hateful agenda.

Sad to see McCain slowly losing his ability to reason.

He should have retired a few years ago due to his health issue. We all saw what it's done to him when he was questioning Comey at the Senate Intelligence Meeting. Very confusing questioning by him.

O b ama’s Prosecutor Vouches for Haspel’s CIA
In a 2009 case, Preet Bharara attested to the value of the enhanced-interrogation program.

If you insist on dragging real world facts into a conversation with lefties it only to leads to confusion....confusion quickly turning to anger for their inability to counter and ending up with whining, crying and gnashing of teeth.

As pointed out above liberals cannot deal with real world facts - it interrupts there delusions and fantasies........and what is a liberal without his/her fantasies? Instead of seeking to talk about the facts they are much more comfortable with character assassination, changing the subject or attacking you with ad hominem.....anything but admit to the truth.

I agree. Not only do their shoulders get tired but there is doubt it's been so long since having a breath of fresh air that the liberal minions probably assume the entire world smells that way.

BBBWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For carrying out the agenda of the POTUS? For following orders and policy given to her by her direct supervisor? Official US policy? That led to the capture of Bin Laden? The very thing you and every other liberal misguidedly praises Dingle-Barry for?

If so then Dingle-Barry must be brought up on charges first - then George Tenet - and about two dozen other CIA employees that were buffered in the chain of command between the POTUS and Haspel

Speaking of crimes - with your new found affinity and appreciation of "justice" you must also believe that John Kerry deserves a firing squad for colluding with an enemy state - Iran - to undermine US policy......

Legendary Liberal Hypocrisy in full display.

Torture is a violation of the 8th amendment and the geneva convention... Not a difficult concept here. Guess you are one of those rightists that only wants laws enforced when dems are guilty.. Got it.

That excuse didn't fly at the Nuremberg trials, nor is it a permissible excuse under the Convention Against Torture.

Torture is a violation

Obama, Tenet and about a dozen other US officials have said waterboarding is not torture.

Guess you are one of those rightists that only wants laws enforced when dems are guilty

Says the guy that cannot be non-political long enough to answer a simple question about a treasonous liberal.

As I said - Liberal leftwing Hypocrisy in full bloom. Nice work sparky.
