I beg to differ. Chrissy Teigen is anything but destitute. She has her own money, she didn't marry into it [although she married into a buttload of it]. Jealousy is far different than pointing out the obvious. Melania is not enviable. She's to be sympathized with, but she's not enviable. Melania may have modeled as well, but I don't believe Chrissy modeled girl-on-girl nudes.

The short answer I would suppose, is because there are folks silly enough to pay that much for a shirt.
I just saw the trailers for a new show that highlights the most expensive items on earth. There is a drink that costs $ 75,000. It just shows that if you have the money, you will spend it on stuff that the majority of people would never ever consider buying.
