No way I can compete with those fabulous sunbeams, so I'm just going to post a few of my examples of using a flare:
This was actually a bad photo that I was able to make into what looks like an Impressionist painting. However, the picture was taken so long ago I don't remember if it was live or a photo of a painting.
No need for “competition”, Buzz; it’s not that any one photo is better than another, all photos herein are good, they are just different from one another.
The light rays are called "crepuscular rays," and the images are sometimes referred to as "God Shots."
Exceptional - not just what nature reveals, but being able to capture it so expertly.

First photo is crepe myrtle?
I don't know. I don't have much knowledge of flowers, trees, etc.
Looks like a crepe myrtle. They grow everywhere here in Arkansas

It’s the lake in the Pocono Mountains where I often fish until the sun goes down.
