Need help with an avatar?
I'll try to help.
An avatar is a personalized picture that can be a picture of yourself, a character, or an alternate ego that someone uses to represent themselves on line.
They are simple, small pictures, only 124 pixels in size, that you can upload to Newstalkers on your home page settings to represent yourself. They provide a quick view of who you are on-line!
If you have photo editing software, you can make your own avatar, and upload it on your home page settings. If you don't, or you need help in making an avatar, I will gladly help!
What we'll need:
First, you'll need a picture that you want to use. Since the avatars are so small, you'll want something simple and smaller to start with. I can crop your face to use, or a piece of a picture, and then size it down to fit the 124 pixel width. Then, I'll walk you through the process of adding it on your home page settings.

I think an avatar should be a reflection of who you are. I started with a pretty mellow mouse, but when I was a moderator I decided I needed a sterner mouse and I found one. Since that time I've grown sort of attached to it so, while I'm not a moderator at this point in time, I still think I'll keep it anyway. One never knows.
When I next have access to my home computer I'll send an image I'd like to use. Why I can do it for my groups but not my avatar is beyond me.

That's so true. You find what you think is going to be a great avatar, but when shrink down to avatar size it's difficult or impossible to determine what it is your looking at.
