8 Lies Democrats Making About Trump's Coronavirus Record

A great article calling out all the lies and misrepresentations democrats and the lamestream media have dumped upon our President as he bravely leads us in this war against the Wuhan virus. Trump is doing a good job and the public is seeing that despite what the Dems and mainstream media want us to believe.
In this election year, President Trump's detractors are politicizing the coronavirus pandemic rather than coming together as Americans to combat the growing threat.
The White House has been working furiously to address the outbreak and minimize its effects on everyone living within U.S. borders, while Trump's detractors have undermined those efforts and even mischaracterized them and spread lies about them.
Differences of opinion are understandable; outright lies are not. Here are some examples.
Lie 1: "President Trump called the coronavirus a hoax."
This claim was spread not just by both politicians and media figures.
NBC "Sunday Today" host Willie Geist asserted on March 1 that "President Trump, meanwhile, held a rare Saturday news conference to give another update on coronavirus. He was pressed about his comments at a rally Friday night where he called coronavirus a Democratic hoax against his presidency."
Trump actually called the Democratic Party's politicization of the outbreak a hoax.
Meg Kelly, a fact-checker for The Washington Post, actually awarded former Vice President Joe Biden four Pinocchios — its highest rating — for not only repeating the same lie, but for editing video footage of the president as "proof."
Incredibly, over the weekend The Washington Post's Amber Phillips tweeted the same lie that her newspaper denounced. She later deleted it and apologized.
Lie 2: "President Trump cut CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) funding."
This claim was made at the February 25 Democratic debate by Biden, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and it continues to this day.
Actually the House of Representatives, not the White House, has the power of the purse, and CDC funding has increased every year since Trump's been in office. That includes funding for agency's primary program to help state and local governments during emergencies like the coronavirus outbreak.
Lie 3: "State and local officials are critical of the Trump administration's coronavirus response."
Although some state and local Democrats have tried to score political points at the president's expense, other Democratic governors have praised the Trump administration's response. California Gov. Gavin Newsom, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and most surprising, Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, all praised Trump' s handling of the crisis.
Lie 4: "President Trump has done nothing to stabilize the economy."
Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin has been making this claim since at least late last year, when she wrote that " Trump is even losing on the economy ."
This was discounted by Trump's predecessor, former President Barack Obama, who's been trying to take credit for the economy since the current administration turned it around.
As the economy pertains to the current crisis, the administration is providing economic relief to workers and employers impacted by the outbreak.
The White House has also directed the Small Business Administration to issue $50 billion in low interest loans to affected small businesses, while the Treasury Department is allowing affected businesses to defer tax payments.
Lie 5: Biden claimed that Trump "hasn't allowed his [medical] scientists to speak" about the outbreak.
The former vice president made that claim during an interview on ABC's "This Week."
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, nipped that claim in the bud during an interview with former MSNBC host Chris Matthews.
"I'm not being muzzled," he said . "Everybody who gets on shows like this, you have a normal clearance. I was cleared here, and I'm talking to you, and I'll give you the whole truth the way I always have."
Lie 6: "Donald Trump is fiddling while the coronavirus burns."
That claim was made by USA Today columnist Jason Sattler, who suggested using the outbreak to oust the president.
"This crisis must burn into our souls the moral obligation we have to defeat this man. And based on the results of Tuesday night's primaries, which overwhelmingly swung for former Vice President Joe Biden, the path we will have to take to do this is becoming increasingly clear," he wrote.
In truth, the administration has been working tirelessly on this outbreak, and has continuously kept the people informed with multiple press briefings each day.
Lie 7: Calling it "Chinese virus" is racist.
MERS stands for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, and the Obama administration repeatedly used that term without comment. There's also the German measles, Japanese smallpox, and the Spanish Flu
Lie 8: "Trump is practicing medicine without a license."
NBC/MSNBC legal contributor Katie Phang tweeted this Saturday in response to a Trump statement that "HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE & AZITHROMYCIN, taken together, have a real chance to be one of the biggest game changers in the history of medicine."
The president was merely relaying information that experts had given him. If I say "penicillin was a game-changer to treat infections," that's not practicing medicine — it's stating a fact.
As the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, D-N.Y., once famously said, "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts."

This is a great article calling out all the lies and misrepresentations key democrats and the lamestream media have dumped upon us about our President as he bravely leads us in this rough war against the Wuhan virus. Trump is doing a very good job and the public is actually seeing that despite what the Dems and mainstream media want us to believe. The truth will win out.
Not eight lies. Eight truths.
They are eight lies and all were refuted in the seeded article.
No. Propaganda. Believe it at the detriment to America.
So go through each point and tell us what the "truth" is.
I expect your silence.
The points are already there. Prove them.
Um, each point stated how the liberal media was lying.
You say that the responses were lies.
Again, show us how they are lies...point by point.
1. It isn't called the 'Chinese virus'. By anybody except Trump. Its called Corona virus and Covid-19. Any other name comes straight outta Trump's ass. By the way, the Spanish flu started in Kansas.
2. Trump and the republicans TRIED to cut the CDC and DID let the top pandemic experts go from their positions a couple of years ago. The ONLY reason the CDC budget isn't smaller is because democrats wouldn't let them. But the experts were let go and also the expert based in China was brought home last year before the pandemic, leaving us with even less information.
3. We don't forget the only way Trump operates is for everyone to praise him like he is Jesus. So when most people praise him they are full of shit stroking his ego.
4. Trump and the gop want to stabilize corporate America with that socialism of welfare without strings. The democrats are the ones who are putting in help for the average American and the regulations on the corporate slush fund Trumpers want. Just look at the difference in the bills.
Don't feel like doing the next 4 at the moment. Want to enjoy my coffee while its still hot.
thank U
Except it was initially called the Chinese virus by CNN, MSNBC and a lot of MSM talking pieces. It was only after it was officially designated Covid-19 that they stopped.
Yes his initial budgets called to reduce the budget for the CDC but Congress actually gave them more money. As far as the experts let go, where are you looking at? The pandemic response team as part of the Security Counsel was re-org'ed and most of the people were reassigned into other working groups who were doing similar work. If you are talking about experts at the CDC, that was from prior budget cuts and planned for years prior I believe.
Yes, President Trump does seem to need to be the smartest man in the room. I wish he didn't but it is what it is. I also look at what he does as well and he does seem to listen to experts and does follow their advice. Yes he's loud and bombastic and I wish he wasn't, I also wish I would win the lottery. Neither is likely to happen. I just don't get so caught up in words, I look more at outcomes.
Agree to disagree. I don't trust either party to put the American citizen first. They are all in it first and for most for themselves. Short of removing the primary job (it seems) of Congress which is what to do to get re-elected and to remove the ability for them to move into a high-paying job as a lobbyist after they lose an election, what are we do to?
Well, in the Middle East they call MERS, camel virus, and rightfully so.
Bat bites camel.
Camel gets fever and bites man ( or spits in his face )
Man dies, but not before spreading it throughout the hospital.
35% fatality rate...

And the Spanish flu?
Funny that you brought up MERS (proper name -Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) - It hit South Korea hard and it is the reason South Korea had so many test kits stockpiled and ready for the China virus!
The Spanish flu started in Kansas.
Wrong!
The CDC notes that there is no universal consensus about where the pandemic, which was caused by the H1N1 virus, emerged. Some theories, however, link the start of the outbreak to the massive British World War I military base at Etaples in northern France and the base at Aldershot in southern England.
Only in the US........................
So you are suggesting that the Camel Flu hit South Korea hard? Really?
Between 2015 & 2018 they had 184 cases (with 38 deaths) in a country of 50 million people.
And you are suggesting that they had so many 6 year old MERS test kits available to use on a similar but different virus that they were better prepared?
One would suppose there would have been no shortage of COVID19 test kits or reagents if the older MERS tests worked...
Since COVID19 is considered to be a novel virus, it needed a completely new test kit, which the Koreans recognized in January.
I trust you will find Reuters an acceptable source of information...
Yea, but Trump is right on top of this new Virus,
he just accepted as being "not' contained LAST WEEK
Met a camel once. Damn near drew and shot it for its lack of manners.
should of grabbed it by the toe
Trump does
some hoof it on outta there in a hurry
relatives only count if you're religious
In South Korea, it was Middle East Respiratory Syndrome , which was first identified in Saudi Arabia in 2012 and has been mostly restricted to that country, but made a frightening outbreak in Korean hospitals in 2015.
The 2015 Korea outbreak was the largest outbreak outside of the Middle East. Researchers had a unique opportunity to compare the nature of MERS-CoV infection with the Middle East experience. The outbreak unveiled the weak points of infrastructure in our medical system, especially of preparedness for emerging global infectious diseases. Nosocomial transmission was one of the core features of MERS-CoV infection. The introspection for loose medical referral systems, overcrowding at the ER, a lack of expert resources and infection control infrastructure, and lack of organized preparedness for medical crises prompted the government to reform the healthcare system , and healthcare sectors to invest further in infectious diseases and infection control. Although the improvement is still ongoing, the speed and content are still currently insufficient. International cooperation to prepare for and defeat emerging infectious diseases should also be emphasized.
Yes Vic, a South Korean went to Bahrain and brought home a deadly present.
Yes it was the largest "outbreak" of MERS outside of the ME.
No Vic, 186 cases in a country of 50 million is as statistically insignificant as one can get except for the 38 deaths out of 50 million.
186 / 50M = .00000372%
38 / 50M = .00000076%
So the risk of contracting MERS was safer than being stung by a wasp in SK, between 2010 and 2014 there were 780,600 injuries and 49 deaths due to wasp stings. (6.27%)
Nothing to say about those non existent stock piles of virus tests for a virus that had not been identified yet?
more good factual reading...
The point is that a deadly pandemic is to Asia what terrorism is to the west. South Korea thinks about it!
Tonight our government is trying to tell you that they have tested more people that the tiny nation of South Korea.
We have already witnessed certain people's problem with comparing mathematical data.
So far South Korea has tested (drum roll ) an abysmal 0.006% of their population for the virus.
Dr. Birx, much to her professional embarrassment is trying to convince us Americans that the
USA testing of an equivalent number of tests
is not 0.00085% of the population of the USA.
AMAZING...
Yes I am sure south Korea is trying to wrap their heads around our "logic"./s
You don't have to think the president is amazing. You don't have to like him. You might even have some ideas for how he could do things better. IF you do, by all means, let's hear them.
But stop lying about what he's doing and saying. You are hurting the country, not helping it.
Well said. One would think that in a crisis like this most Americans would rally around the flag and our elected leaders and instead we see them hoping to be able to use this crisis for political gain and as a tool to get a different president. Pathetic is what it is.
You're politicizing this ..
By gaslighting everybody on Trump's actions in this clusterfuck. From beginning to end Trump has been a freaking disaster.
Once the word 'gaslighting" is introduced the conversation we can finally hang another W on it.
Your TDS is showing.
Exactly. If anyone is politicizing this crisis it’s the President’s disloyal domestic opppostion that is doing so instead of rallying behind him like most of the public has.
The problem being that it is the president who is lying about everything. He has always been a liar and a rapist. His folks sent him to military school (which he flunked out of) due to him being a bully and a rapist.
I’m not expecting any answer. It was a hate filled sweeping generalization about our President dating all the way back to when he was Barrons age.
This...
Trump loves this country. In the video below, maybe you'll understand how the economy was and is today and why. Maybe you'll see Trump is in this with us and has chosen to try and save lives because American lives are important to him. I think it is a little too much in the cure, but we don't even know at this point how bad the disease could be. Trump has sacrificed financially throughout his 3 years in office and is sacrificing even more today because he cares more about the American Citizens than he does about himself. His accomplishments have taken a backseat. He may not be a great speaker, have a large vocabulary, but he does have a big heart for this country, mistakes and all.
Do yo disagree with the video?
Pretty sure that any doctored video you agree with, I won't.
What reporter or politician had their words doctored in that documentary video?
Thank you sixpick! You are so right about what you said
He doesn't give a shit about this country, or anything but himself. [Deleted]
Well said.
Trump puts America and Americans first. He’s doing a great job protecting America and saving lives as well as trying to save our economy. America respects the job he’s doing
Yeah, he did a real good job IGNORING the virus until it was too late and then he says he ALWAYS knew it was a pandemic before anyone called it a pandemic...he has shit for brains and spews forth his shit daily
There are LIARS, damnable LIARS and then there is tRump [Deleted]
Trump is a great American President and he’s doing a very good job.
IMO, calling it a Chinese virus is inciting scared people to attack some Asian Americans, blaming them for this. It is one reason gun sales have increased within Asian communities. It is true some diseases do have certain nationalities in their names, but when is the last time people went after any Germans (German Measles) or any people of Spanish heritage (Spanish Flu)?
if only we could find 8 Trump TRUTHS
Trump is the truth.
Pretty sure Diogenes wouldn't have thought so.
Trump is one lie after the other.
He’s going to guide our country through this crisis. This may be why God put him in office, to lead in a time like this
God does NOT do politics and YOU didn't vote for him.
Show me anywhere in any bible where God and/or Jesus mentions the United States or democrats or republicans.
Trump is the truth.
Really?! I thought that designation only held for one.
John 14:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Hail rump, the new messiah.
Sounds beyond Orwellian.
Maybe something these people would say
Yeah it does, doesn't it? Crazy (scary) thing is, I think many people actually do believe it!
Most of the worst pandemics have rather lame names, like
The Third Cholera Pandemic
or The Sixth Cholera Pandemic.
The Bubonic Plague has 2 great names, The Black Death 1346 - 1353 and the Plague of Justinian 541-542
So, shouldn't we being calling this Trumpovirus?
Some in communist China and their American sympathizers sure think so.
It's interfering with the trade talks....
Well no shit, Sherlock Holmes.
So no more Wuhan, China, or Chinese virus from the "war president"...
Someone from China is your handler now?
i was thinking the same thing.
President Donald Trump said he’ll stop using the term “Chinese virus,” a sign that the U.S. and China want to deescalate their blame game over the pandemic, though his top diplomat kept up accusations that Beijing is waging a misinformation campaign about its origin.
“I don’t regret it, but they accused us of having done it through our soldiers, they said our soldiers did it on purpose, what kind of a thing is that?” Trump said in an interview Tuesday with Fox News. “Look, everyone knows it came out of China, but I decided we shouldn’t make any more of a big deal out of it. I think I made a big deal. I think people understand it. But that all began when they said our soldiers started it. Our soldiers had nothing to do with it.”
Trump cited the Ebola virus and Lyme disease as other illnesses named for their location of discovery. “They do name it after places, it came from China,” he said. He also said that he maintained a “very good” relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping and that China had been through “a lot.”
“They lost thousands of people. They’ve been through hell,” he said.
Trump’s comments came after an unusual public spat between two top Chinese diplomats, which pointed to differences in Beijing over how to handle tensions with Trump. Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Cui Tiankai reiterated to “Axios on HBO” earlier this week that he was opposed to promoting theories that the coronavirus had originated in a U.S. military lab. He said last month that spreading such theories would be “crazy,” even though a foreign ministry spokesman had repeatedly floated the idea on Twitter.
Split personalities link in full.
This guy's a two year old.
After many weeks of the country of China and the province of Wuhan being attacked by foreigners and their leaders, like President Trump, for a common mutation of an existing virus, the President of the United States has decided it's time to stop the sophomoric blame game if, in fact, he expects further diplomacy from the US major trading partners in dealing with China.
It is clearly a sign, that inch by inch, or perhaps brain cell by brain cell, Trump is learning his actual job.
or,
he sees more danger to 'HIS' economy ,
if he doesn't change his racial undertones.
Were the Chinese being racist when they accused the US through our military of spreading the initial outbreak in their Wuhan province? Or do you believe that only white Republican Americans can be racist? It’s clear that we stopped calling it the China flu when they quit blaming us for starting it. It was a tit for tat propaganda battle we were confronting China with and when they quit blaming us we quit calling it that. I totally support the President engaging the Chinese and pulling back when they did. America first!
We are in full control of our own words and behaviors, not the Chinese.
Public leaders in New York City are personally responsible for the crisis being as bad as it is. They openly defied warnings and publicly called for people to gather at major events in the buildup to the pandemic. They practically called those giving early warnings about it racist.
