Report : Trump Will Run Again In 2024 As Long As He Remains In Good Health
perhaps Trump is just acknowledging the obvious - he knows his fan base on the political right remains solidly behind him so why stop now?

Poilitico reports today that Donald Trump is telling friends he going to run for president again in 2024, as long as his health as a then 78 year old permits it.

Perhaps this is a clumsy attempt to distract from the recent news that a grand jury in NY is meeting toconsider criminal tax fraud charges against him, or perhaps Trump is just acknowledging the obvious - he knows his fan base on the political right remains solidly behind him so why stop now?  A new Quinnipiac poll shows 66% of Republicans believing that Trump actually won the 2020 election, not Biden. As long as you have people that stupid but blindly loyal behind you, why not keep the good times and the worshipful rallies coming?

Which is all more reason for the NY prosecutors to indict him and try and keep this menace from re-entering the fray for national elected office.

All I want to know is when is the national mainstream media going to recognize and begin to launch an attack on the real problem in this country, the typical Trump follower.

Anyone who could have predicted that he would be the topic of choice for so long after he left office, or the effect he managed to have on progressives.

Well, I suppose that the good news is: Unlike Progressives, he's almost never the topic of choice amongst Conservatives!

(And of course he hardly has any effect on Conservative. In fact if you mention his name, most Conservatives have nothing to say...they could care less!!!)

I'm curious-- if an ex-president has just announced that he will run for president again--- why do you think that that is not worthy of discussion?

It's a duty to serve to keep toting Trump 'water' on and off the internet. These phony 'witnesses' are trying to quench Trump criticism in an (futile) effort to hide a buffoon named Trump who is running his bull patty from inside his gilded menagerie - about to be go rally central.

Trump is a fool. His supporters and propagandists are deliberate men and women who selfishly want power, wealth, and influence to stop with Trump and themselves. They have decided Trump is the man to cement their drives and ambitions at the top, and are dedicated to vainly trying to 'quit' talk about Donald until he can re-manifest as "the Monster-in-Charge."

We are not deceived. We see this 'Clown' and his 'league' (small letter - L) for who and what they are! Sovereign (White) Power 'hogs' who do not wish to see this country ever achieve any parity across its many spectrums.

See and know the enemy, then you can best defeat its attempts to topple you.

The man currently dwelling in Mar-a-Lago is not going to try another shot in 2024 because................

1.  Many, if not all of his businesses will be struggling to stave off foreclosure.

2.  Depending on evidentiary proceedings and his lawyer's ( on the assumption he is able to achieve any of high quality ) ability to forestall the release of evidence and the procedures of common subpoenas the man currently dwelling at Mar-a-Lago may find himself frequently in the public light during testimony under oath whereupon his true lack of guile coupled with his arrogance and profound ignorance will assuredly dull the shine he pretends to have which never existed.

3.  There also the real possibility that routine examination of his past financial and personal records will bring to light some things not yet in the discussion concerning legal transgressions both foreign and domestic.

4.  Lastly, one thing the Putin Regime desperately needs is American technology to exploit the Northern Russian Oil Fields.  If Putin is given a trade for trade on these items and others one can be rest assured that what ever Trump's purpose was for The Regime he will quickly become used goods, thusly the cover and support given Trump by The Regime will quickly fade and Trump will find himself in the same place he's always been, naked and alone.

Gee, is your Google thingy broken?

Here ya go since it seems difficult:

Requirements for the President of the United States  |  The Presidential Election Process  |  Elections  |  Classroom Materials at the Library of Congress  |  Library of Congress (loc.gov)

Legal requirements for presidential candidates have remained the same since the year Washington accepted the presidency. As directed by the  Constitution , a presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older.

Now what do you have to say about your phony claim?

Oh, and BTW, here is what the link said that you claimed didn't prove my point:

Q: Can a convicted felon serve in elected office? A: The Constitution allows a convicted felon to be a member of Congress, even if in prison. It’s up to the Senate or House to decide who may serve. As for state offices, different laws apply in different places.

In case it is all still too confusing, the Office of the President is an elected office.

So your saying you would trust the Presidency to someone who can't hold a security clearance? Makes it kind of hard to do the job, and the Cabinet meetings should be fun; will they be held in the day room with prison guards present?

is THAT what you think you read in my post?

the question was about eligibility to serve as President, which you made a false claim about. I just showed you the facts.

I also don't want him assassinated, although I would not shed a tear if it happened.  I want him in prison.

IIRC, recent polls would indicate that that is not the case...at least amongst  most Republicans.

Trump making a declaration means nothing to me.   The man is the most egregious pathological liar I am aware of.   Why would I take anything he claims as truth?

I'm kinda hoping he will.

Why? Because while he remains popular-- almost godlike-- for part of the Republican Party--- there are all a significatn number that want him to..disappear!

But then there are the Dems..and the Independents....

I could be wrong, but because of his total nutiness, his lies. his accelerating the spread of Covid..and other stuff.. I think he'd be the easiest to beat!

I think that's true-- and will be true even after he dies-- or jailed.

However, his influence would probably decrease-- amongst some of his supporters.

Sorry-- my comment wasn't clear. What I mean to say that he remains highly popular with the majority of Republics.

(Although a minority don't like him.

But with Democrats and even Independents, he is unpopular for the most part. (While Independents are divided, the major doesn't like him.

What with Trump's diet (Big Macs), his lack of exercise and poor physical condition (lying in bed all day eating Big Macs), and his poor mental health (watching Fox all day while lying in bed eating Big Macs), it's a wonder that he is still alive.

I am willing to bet age will no longer be a problem for some.
