A Teacher resigns
Sobbing Loudoun County teacher QUITS at school meeting in protest over CRT lessons as she accuses board of pushing 'highly-politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents - the children.'
One day they will write books about the era of the left. Here is a national hero, a teacher who resigned from her profession because of an evil ideology which infects in many school boards across the country. Here name is Laura Morris. She is to be applauded.
The public resignation of a teacher:
Loudoun County Virginia is now ground zero in the battle against evil. Where a superintendent decreed that there should be no dissent from his radical agenda.
Dr. Scott A. Ziegler was appointed the Superintendent for Loudoun County Public Schools on June 8, 2021.
It is time to recall the scum that have managed to get key positions on school boards.
We are seeing more patriots every day.
We have a long way to go. They have our kids and that is where the first battle must be won!
A word that needs a vacation from those who claim it to be theirs and use it to mask jingoism.
She is a great American!
Personally, I hope the entire faculty follows suit.
Except the Loudoun School Board meeting wasn't about 'CRT lessons' Vic.
Here is what the local newspaper reported:
HB 145 Public elementary and secondary schools; treatment of transgender students, policies.
SB 161 Public elementary and secondary schools; treatment of transgender students, policies.
So Laura Morris didn't quit because of CRT lessons Vic, she quit because she believes that her religion teaches her that transgender students shouldn't be treated equitably.
Yet ANOTHER failed seed.
good. she's obviously too stupid to be a teacher if she can't distinguish between history taught based on facts versus the wedge issue du jour propagated by history revisionists with alt-political motives. I'm sure she can find a religious based school to offer her services that's more aligned with her critical thinking skills.
Please don't trash your response. I want all our readers to see it.
This is why we must take back our country.
where? back to the 50's? you better hurry while there's still some sand left in the hourglass.
as soon as I heard her say "as a believer in christ" as her justification for resigning, the clock started running on when the details of her forthcoming sex scandal goes public. it's inevitable...
Don't let the church door hit ya where the good lord split ya lady. You were hired to teach, not preach. If you want to preach, get a penguin suit and apply at those kind of schools.
The superintendent and school board target white, Christian women in their "equity training" workshops.
Oh so they're being silenced?
Targeted?
Good riddance to that phonier than thou whiny so and so and her crocodile tears.
Yes and yes.
NO AND NO
Provide proof of her lies - not from some random blog or Faux 'news'
The phony needs to provide these e-mails as proof.
Otherwise, it's all lies.
You've posted that link twice and all I get is ads for removing ear wax. I for one use candles...
If true, perhaps you should consider using an ad blocker.
Conversely, you could post a source worth veiwing.
As a former educator, this topic interests me greatly. But the problem I have with this article is that I have no idea of what she is objecting to. Is there some other article you can point me to, to gain some further information?
If you listened to the tape, you might notice that she clearly objected to the teaching of radical ideology to the young and to the prohibition of dissent by the superintendent.
Heres some of the text:
Vic,
I did some investigating of my own, and it turns out that this is over how to treat transgender children, which has been an ongoing issue, for about the last 10 years. It is not about CRT.
Furthermore, parents and faculty were allowed in, until they started to fight with each other, and then they were allowed in 10 at a time to speak, so she misrepresented that.
You can read more here:
oh, ouch...
I understand what the day's topic was, but as far as Laura Morris was concerned it was about a bit more than the transgenger nonsense. Read her words:
"School board, I quit. I quit your policies, I quit your trainings and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents — the children,” she said. "I will find employment elsewhere."
Are you really going to dismiss her complaints because you say it was about one radical idea and not another?
That article that I posted said she quit over transgender, and many people feel that is a political position. It would be against her Christian beliefs. Her video is posted there, too.
And yes, one should be accurate about an issue. Transgender people have existed forever, but we are only beginning to get our heads wrapped around how to treat them. Even I can be a bit old school about some of the issues surrounding it, like bathroom usage and using the word "they". I feel like the women's movement that came up with Ms. they need to find a word of their own.
But it is not about CRT. And I don't think that any of this makes someone a patriot or not. It is a society trying to figure things out.
I'll put you down on the side of the radical left.
Whoa. That was totally unnecessary and inaccurate and frankly a personal attack, and I don't want the comment to be removed. I expect better of you.
I have many issues with the "radical left". All I am saying is that her issue seems to be over transgender, which is not CRT.
That's a dodge. She had a lot to say, including the superintendent prohibiting dissent.
Btw what I said goes. You dissmissed her complaints AND you went on to side with teachers talking to young children about transgender issues. The latter is radical and has no place in tax payer funded public schools. You also pointed out the following:
parents and faculty were allowed in, until they started to fight with each other, and then they were allowed in 10 at a time to speak, so she misrepresented that.
What good is that if the school board doesn't care what parents want?
To do so would be highly subjective of you and just another example of synapses firing in one partisan ordained direction.
What's a dodge? Me not liking you making it personal? Trying to dismiss my POV, by tagging me with a right-wing dog whistle name?
Which was inaccurate. The article I provided said why the doors were closed. There was fighting between the parents and they were allowing them to speak 10 at a time. The mere fact that she was up there dissenting proves that they were allowing it, or did you miss that?
Because her complaints were in the context of dealing with policy about transgender children.
And my article clearly says that they were talking about transgender policy at that meeting.
But they were allowing parents and teachers in, just in smaller groups so that people could speak. The article you provided was skewed. The one I provided told the whole story.
The NBC article doesn't provide the entire story. The superintendent and board prohibit teachers' dissent against "ethics training". They also want teachers to snitch on each other. Please read the articles I posted in comment 2.1.4 . My articles include far more than the selective NBC article does.
The way you dismissed this young teacher's complaints and they were numerous.
Me not liking you making it personal?
If you want to see what personal attacks look like, take a look at any of my seeds/articles.
Trying to dismiss my POV, by tagging me with a right-wing dog whistle name?
I stated that you share a radical view. Do you want to clarify? How do you feel about schools/teachers discussing trangender issues with young children?
Which was inaccurate. The article I provided said why the doors were closed. There was fighting between the parents and they were allowing them to speak 10 at a time. The mere fact that she was up there dissenting proves that they were allowing it, or did you miss that?
I provided you and everyone else with the video tape and the transcript of what she said. Her actual words! As a former teacher, I ask you, aren't her complaints of any value?
Because her complaints were in the context of dealing with policy about transgender children.
And my article clearly says that they were talking about transgender policy at that meeting.
In other words you don't want to discuss her complaints or the parents concerns, you just want to dismiss my article because the word CRT was used? (I used it)
Is that really what you want to do?
If you want to make it confined to transgender advice, go right ahead. How do you feel about it being left to school boards rather than parents?
But they were allowing parents and teachers in, just in smaller groups so that people could speak.
I made no points about how many were let in. Why would that even be important?
The article you provided was skewed.
No it was highly accurate.
The one I provided told the whole story.
Even your's tells the same story - a radical school board imposing a radical agenda on students against the wishes of parents. You don't seem to want to addrtess that.
The 'articles' you provided are some random blog from Loudon County, it doesn't prove anything. And Faux 'news' - not a reliable source in any way, shape, or form.
This whiny phonier than thou teacher needs to provide these emails - proof that she is being targeted - silenced, which she is not.
Have a good day.
I didn't hear her say a word about CRT.
you don't think he actually reads the majority of the radical right bs he publishes here, do you? and since you discovered she was really whining about LGBTQ equality, the odds of this little church mouse being involved in a sordid sex scandal just doubled.
She didn't.
The NBC news provided the story from that night's events. It was not being "selective".
Your blog, if it is accurate, which btw was based on the same article that Vic's was.
She said in that article:
I would like to see those emails.
And clearly, this blog has its own POV.
Discussing those issues with the calcified minds of adults would be better? Children are stronger and far more capable to juggle viewpoints than you might wish to believe Vic.
She said :"School board, I quit. I quit your policies, I quit your trainings and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents — the children,”
Without giving us an example of what she is talking about. You seem to forget that I as a teacher, was given many trainings sessions on many different topics. If they are highly politicized I want examples.
No, what you said was: I'll put you down on the side of the radical left, which was meant as an insult and to discredit me to your righie friends, despite the fact that I wrote in the same post:
Which clearly indicates that I am uncomfortable with some transgender issues.
I provided the same video. Her complaints are as valuable as anyone else's.
No Vic. What I am looking for is accuracy in reporting. I am neither defending nor supporting CRT. I am dismissing the article because the issue at hand was transgender and not CRT.
The story I provided was about the treatment of transgender children, which brings me to your question:
First of all, let me explain how school boards are formed. The members are voted on by the parents and serve for a limited time. That means these people won the popular vote to make decisions. That being said, most school boards do take the concerns of the parents into consideration. Now if this school board is out of control, they will be voted out, and policy changes will happen. So, the board is a reflection of the majority of the parents.
As a parent, I was on the PTA, and also on a school board committee. We wanted to make the start time later for high school students, since the science showed that high school children needed the extra sleep, while younger children naturally wake up earlier. At first, this was met with some resistance by parents but later was embarrassed by most. That school board got voted in by a huge margin, over that single issue.
So to answer your question, the parents put that school board in, so they had their say. They will have their say again, when they come up for re-election.
You too, Vic.
She's made a lot of claims with absolutely no proof of anything that she 'claims'
You have the patience of Job.
I said the same thing to Perrie one time!
I think you were being dismissed.
LOL!
You're deflecting Vic.
YOUR posit is that she quit because of CRT lessons. She didn't and Perrie and I posted links proving as much.
But hey, no one here expects you to do the mature act of admiting that you claim is false.
She made a lot of allegations, none of which she provided evidence to support.
Add that to the FACT that the School Board was addressing how they were going to comply with a legislative mandate passed in 2020.
So the 'parents' had their say in two different avenues of representation.
Actually Vic, YOU are the one dismissing her complaints because YOU falsely claimed that it was about a favorite issue of YOURS rather than HER issue, the equitable treatment of transgender students.
asking for substance only triggers an avalanche of CRT misinformation. the CRT furor will only last until something bigger and better comes along. currently there's an awful lot of shit hitting the wall to see if will stick coming from the right.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the US has been a racist country in the past ( one of the long lasting arguments for "the South" is that the people in the north were more racist than the slaveowning southerners were), and for 100 years after emancipation in many places it was still legal to racially discriminate. The United States has historically been a racist country. "Critical race theory" would like to have that recognized and made known to current and future generations. People like this teacher would rather quit than tell her students that America has a dark past. She's probably fine with telling her students that Thomas Jefferson or George Washington owned a few slaves (both actually owned hundreds) that they treated really well (not quite the case) but they were actually against slavery. But she sure doesnt want the kids to realize that people of color were mistreated across the board in America from the beginning. That would upset her applecart of the founders were great Christian men who created a perfect God fearing country.

Housing discrimination against blacks is also on the 'law books' in many states.
Vic , has the United States of America ever been a functionally white supremacist country?
no, they're not!
I could post a link to one of your recent seeds to help your readers understand that if you wish.
Stop obsessing over race. It's going to get people killed eventually.
I will take that as a "yes'.
Don't bother John. I know what you want and you won't get it. I know you don't believe it, but you are on the wrong side of history.
Browse through the book "Stamped From The Beginning" which is a history of racism in America, and then try and tell us with a straight face that America has not been historically a racist country.
Every minority in the third world is risking their lives to enter our country via the southern border. It is they who have put an end to that mantra.
Here is a link to a pdf of the book so you dont have to buy it
Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America | Ibram X. Kendi | download (1lib.us)
Ibram x Kendi is a white hating racist.
No wonder, John!
I dont care if he is the man in the moon, the book is loaded with historical facts.
It's trash!
I know you are in denial about the racist history of the US. I cant do anything about that.
He certainly is. One example:
And this ...
Maybe I will post some excerpts from his book, which won the National Book Award, the most prestigious honor a non fiction book can achieve.
I doubt you will like it though.
"We often describe a wonderful book as 'mind-blowing' or 'life-changing' but I've found this rarely to actually be the case. I found both descriptions accurate for Ibram X. Kendi's Stamped from the Beginning... I will never look at racial discrimination again after reading this marvellous , ambitious , and clear-sighted book." - George Saunders, Financial Times , Best Books of 2017
" Ambitious, well-researched and worth the time of anyone who wants to understand racism." - Seattle Times
"A deep (and often disturbing) chronicling of how anti-black thinking has entrenched itself in the fabric of American society." - The Atlantic
Some Americans insist that we're living in a post-racial society. But racist thought is not just alive and well in America--it is more sophisticated and more insidious than ever. And as award-winning historian Ibram X. Kendi argues, racist ideas have a long and lingering history, one in which nearly every great American thinker is complicit.
In this deeply researched and fast-moving narrative, Kendi chronicles the entire story of anti-black racist ideas and their staggering power over the course of American history.
As Kendi shows, racist ideas did not arise from ignorance or hatred. They were created to justify and rationalize deeply entrenched discriminatory policies and the nation's racial inequities.

Thanks for the Amazon link and praise for Kendi. Interesting that you didn't include the first verified purchase review:
A leopard can’t change its spots!
There are literally 90 times more favorable reviews of the book on Amazon than unfavorable.
Dont worry, I wont post them like you did.
Have 100 random white folks read it and have 100 random black folks read it and them have them review it. It will be nothing like 90-10 but much closer to 50-50.
Do you doubt that John?
I have no idea.
Facts are facts . If Ibram X. Kendi is anti-white he's anti-white. It doesnt make his book false. He's not writing fiction here, everything in his book comes from another source.
Until we as the totality of Americans man up or woman up and admit our national past is filled with racism we will never get beyond today's obstacles to good race relations.
Just having whites say "its not my fault' is not gonna get 'er done.
We'll see because .... and i can say this with confidence and ease.
Not my fault .... look somewhere else for the free shit you're looking for. Many, many, many people feel just that way .... so If that doesn't "git r done" it's going to get real sporty out there. Real quick.
That said, it is hardly a surprise to me that a majority of people who would read that book, would review it positively. Not a surprise at all.
whose fault is it?
do you know how inner city ghettos were created?
whose fault was it?
no one's?
please tell me what decade in american history that you think occurred without massive racism ? some in the 1700's ? 1800's? 1900's, ? which ones?
Not mine or most folks alive today for that matter
Not mine or most folks alive today for that matter
Who said racism doesn't exist? Not me. As i have said here numerous times. Everyone is racist to some degree. It is human nature .... a natural bias to some degree which is worse in some and not so prolific in others but it is there in EVERYONE. A lot of the folks who say they aren't racist, are really the worst racists, including many folks involved with groups like BLM.
My point here is that me and mine, here in bumfuck Michigan today, have no responsibility for it whatsoever. No matter how hard you try to spin that we do. Neither did any of my ancestors. Neither do most folks alive today. Regardless, go for it. Go for nonsensical ideas like reparations. See what happens. A lot of people who are normally quiet, won't be quiet anymore. Like i said earlier, it will get real sporty, real quick.
Oregon excluded ALL blacks and Texas excluded 'freeman' but allowed holding blacks as slaves.
Evil! It says so right there in the seed! /s
She's like a right wing Christian version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
The scum named Laura Morris just resigned.
Meh, it's still a free country ..... mostly, so good for her. Go find a school that you are comfortable teaching at. It will likely be a charter or parochial school though since public schools there in that Va county appear to be going woke at a full tilt boogie pace.
All ranting and raving from the left and right set aside ...... next!
Go find a school that you are comfortable teaching at.
I have to agree with that.
Seems that is what she is doing.
Good riddance!
Private schools are the wave of the future.
Predictions are like all waves, they're wet and you can't breath.
As is home schooling
Yeah, she made a bit of scene about it but that's about it.
She's entitled to have her own opinion no matter what the Orwellian's say.
It's not a prediction, it's reality in much of the country.
The future will only be a reality in the future.
Reality .... is no future .... only now.
Help you i will ....
Louden County is as Lilly white and privileged as it gets. I live just north of there and have been through there hundreds of times - but I couldn’t afford to live there even if they doubled my salary. I just went to an outdoor concert there last Saturday and only saw one single black person in the crowd of hundreds. It’s hardly the kind of place where a discussion on race can be taken seriously.
No ... equity. Equality and equity are very different concepts.
Whatever.
" The main difference between equality and equity is that equality means treating everyone the same , and equity is giving everyone what they need to be successful."
Letting a transgender child use the bathroom at a public school is equality, not equity.
You are so right.
Get equity!
Does being "Lilly white and privileged" automatically mean that white people have never experienced racism?
Does being "Lilly white and privileged" automatically mean that white people have never experienced racism?
Well, let’s think about it. If you’re school has no black people, and your neighborhoods are all white, and your politicians and police force are all white, and the only black people you ever bump into are the ones who work for the maid service, then yes. Louden County is full of old money Virginians, DC lobbyists, and vineyards. You can pretty much go anywhere else in the state of Virginia and find a higher black population than Louden County. These Chino wearing yuppies would be more apt to retell a story about how well their great great granddaddy treated his slaves than to have a relevant anecdote about racism in the modern world.
Maybe she means the black doorman at a resort hotel gave them a dirty look.
The Loudoun County superintendent, BoE, and "woke parents" have been embroiled in a bitter CRT conflict with parents and teachers who disagree with them for months. Interesting that an affluent, Caucasian demographic doesn't want children to be taught CRT's racism.
Jasper, someone voted in that school board and that would be the parents.
As for the demographics of that county, it is mostly white and mostly affluent:
Which means that these white parents are not on the same page and that is clearly demonstrated in this article from a local paper:
