McDaniel throws uncle under the bus
McDaniel, however, knows that she cannot afford to upset the "base" of her party. The base of her party is not Mitt Romney or Collins or Murkowski, the base is MTG, Gaetz, Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, Jim Jordan, Donald Trump, and other whackadoodles on the far right.

The  Republican National Committee  ( RNC ) is a U.S.  political committee  that assists the  Republican Party of the United States . It is responsible for developing and promoting the Republican brand and  political platform , as well as assisting in  fundraising and election strategy.

After Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski announced that they would support Biden Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson for senate confirmation, far right flamethrower Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said in a tweet that the three Republican senators were "pro-pedophile".

Frankly, no one expected anything better from Greene.  But what is a little more interesting is the silence about this coming from an official body of the Republican Party, the RNC . The Republican National Committee is after all led by Ronna McDaniel who is also Mitt Romney's niece.

Her fear of their displeasure "trumped" her obligation as a party leader to condemn Greene's reckless words about her uncle.

More evidence that the Republican Party has lost it's moral moorings.

Both Democrats and Republicans and every member of the supreme court whether liberal or conservative are against pedophiles and child pornographers. Only half wits and complete dip shit partisan morons would claim anything different.

The partisan attacks during the confirmation from many Republican senators were motivated by one thing and one thing only as the seed points out:

McDaniel, however, knows that she cannot afford to upset the "base" of her party.

They are beholden to clearly mentally stunted right wing conservative bigots who hold their party hostage. They don't really think Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson supports or protects pedophiles, and three republicans had enough backbone to admit it, the rest are just as spineless as the rest of the party, slithering on their bellies in an effort to appease the rabid Trump supporters they know they need to stay in power. It's almost sad that these clearly mentally handicapped sycophants don't realize they are being used by politicians who do not share their same level of delusion.

The "attacks" that were you claim that the Republicans made were based on Jackson's actual record. Did you say anything about the unfair and false attacks by the democrats during the hearings for Justice Thomas or Justice Kavanaugh!

That could be  accurately said of the democrats who normally play follow the leader even if it leads them and the country right over the cliff. The Republicans do not nearly follow in lockstep with each other like the democrats do.

Her record was fine, she did what all good judges have done, looked at each case individually taking in all circumstances presented by the prosecution and defense and she followed sentencing guidelines. To claim she was "soft" on pedophiles is nothing but horse shit conservative opinion of someone trying to Monday morning quarterback cases they know nothing about.

Did you say anything about the unfair and false attacks by the democrats during the hearings for Justice Thomas or Justice Kavanaugh!

I don't recall anyone accusing Judge Brown of sexual assault or some sexist behavior. Justice Thomas and Kavanaugh had believable accusers, just because a bunch of dipshit conservatives want to fantasize that the accusers were somehow manufactured or proven liars isn't my problem. Personally, I believe the accusers, the stuff Anita Hill accused Thomas of doing were just to fucking weird for her to have just invented them.

So on one hand you have actual accusers coming forward and were willing to sit in front of the US Senate and be grilled for their personal claims against a nominee, and on the other hand you have Republicans nit picking sentencing of a very well qualified Judge with no salacious accusations against her. It's like comparing apples and orangutans.

Why is it that when democrats are accused of sexual offensive., The left always call the accusers liars and bimbos even when there is credible evidence but when Republicans are accused the women are automatically telli the truth and should be canonized as saints.

The Republicans do not nearly follow in lockstep with each other like the democrats do.

Let's look at 2 politicians, 1 democrat and 1 republican that refuse to walk in lock step.

Joe Manchin and Liz Cheney.

What punishment has the democratic leadership enacted against Manchin?  He has now, multiple times, thwarted democratic initiatives.  What punishment has he received?

Now let's look at Liz Cheney, she cast a vote for the impeachment of Trump after looking at all the evidence.

  • She was promptly censured by GOP leaders who actually voted on her expulsion because she voiced her own opinion.
  • RNC also calls on the party to no longer support Cheney as a republican.
  • RNC also moved to have her removed from all House committees, since the GOP does not control the House, that failed for now.

All because she refused to walk lock step with what GOP leadership told her to do.

In the case of Kavanaugh, even the accusers own friends could not back up her story.

There is a difference between 'could not back up her story', and being 'unable to remember that particular party', which was the actual wording used in court.

Lol.. Leland Keyser believed the story wasn't true and felt it didn't make any  sense.  Wouldn't you remember your good  friend being assaulted?

She also was pressured to change her story and lie by Ford's friends. But keep clinging to a story told by a liar, that changed constantly, wasn't specific to time and place and involved varying amounts of people and relied on pressuring witnesses to try and make it seem credible.  Threatening to publicly  denounce someone as an addict if they don't change their story isn't necessary when you have a credible allegation. .

Ford's as credible as the QANON pizzeria story.

You left out several damn details about Liz- which is typical leftist BS.

Liz Cheney is a TDS driven wack job that has repeatedly stated her sole purpose for serving is to do "Whatever it takes to prevent 2024 Trump win".

She also accepted an appointment to the Jan 6th committee from Nancy Pelosi. She was not appointed by Republican leadership. That automatically disqualifies her as being a Republican. Maybe she should beg Pelosi to join the Democrats?

Also, Manchin has been harassed by far left morons for his resistance to the Democrat "spend until we all drop" platform. The party leadership has been silent about the harassment.

How about a trade? TDS driven Cheney for Manchin. Republicans would take that deal any day. I am sure Democrats being the "Big tent" party can find room for Cheney./S
