Jesse Waters asks "What would you do?"
Watters: Would you drive through a mob to protect yourself?

Last night Jesse Waters presented the case of Kathleen Castillo, who was a woman driving her daughter home after doing some Christmas shopping in NYC. and was swarmed by a group of violent protestors during the infamous "summer of love." In her case, she tried to flee and hit some of the protestors who were trying to hold down her car. Later there were charges filed against her. The prosecutor must not feel that a jury would convict her so he is offering her a generous plea-deal, (6 days of community service vs 7 years in prison) but she is not buying. She feels that not only is she innocent, but obviously, she was the victim.

Meanwhile protestors have encircled the courthouse, while calling this brave woman a "racist."

The question before the house: "What would you do?"

Here is last night's video:

In watching that, I was reminded of how extremely violent those radical protestors were. IMO far more violent than anything we've seen in a long while. There were no cops to be found where the protestors had been harassing & threatening motorists. The cops showed up to ticket this woman trying to flee. We all remember how few were ever held accountable for the violence and rioting of that year. About 2 dozen people were killed. There was that guy driving to Home Depot that was shot by BLM protestors. Local police were ordered to stand down. There were funds set up to free the few who were actually arrested. In the progressive mind the riots were justified. It was a threat to the nation: Do not mess with the "oppressed!"

All the best to MS Castillo.

Those are "mostly peaceful protestors" according to the Democrats, their media sycophants, and their far leftist Brown Shirts.

How can you charge "mostly peaceful protestors" with anything?/S

I am sure the DOJ would love to hear from you since they can only focus on charging right wing extremists and parents that have the audacity to attend school board meetings to protest what their kids are being taught; and public schools allowing boys into girls bathrooms where low and behold 2 girls were raped.

We all eagerly await your evidence that Garland will surely thank you personally for.

Surely you do not mean to punish only leftist rioters.

This should show, in the abstract, that violence (and theft) do not solve any problems and simply make things worse.

Name us a right wing rioter that isn't being punished. Go ahead we can wait forever your fruitless search.

We have definitive proof from this article left wing rioters aren't being charged.

So quit trying to pretend there isn't a double standard going on in prosecuting. Or do you want comparisons to the Jan 6th prosecutions?

955 charged, and the partisan POS Garland and FBI are still looking for more. Take a look at some of the charges. When you start to see the lack of violence involved in many you will understand why people are pissed that leftwing rioters aren't getting charge for shit; but their victims are.

If things keep going on the way they are the violence will escalate; and people will start taking the law into their own hands. Since there aren't any consequences for leftwing Brownshirts.

You really need to cool your emotions.   I made a very clear point.   Stick with what I wrote instead of flying off on some emotional / partisan / whining rant.

Do you have any idea whatsoever what my point was?    (hint) read the second sentence.

The Reginald Denny defense should be the standard. It resolves the jeopardy society places on those required to flee before using deadly force.

Ms. Castillo did the right thing.  The asshat DA fucked up and charged the wrong people.  But that's not really surprising coming out of a shithole like NYC.

People will do whatever they feel they have to do to protect themselves and their family from immediate danger. It is an instinct.  I dont blame the lady,  if she thought her life was in danger.

Looking at the video though, one thing struck me. It appears that she chose to continue down a street that it was clear , from a distance, was being blocked to traffic by protesters. Once she continued down that street towards the protesters, as she appears to have done, it was almost inevitable that some of those in the middle of the street would take that as a hostile act. In the video it appears she could have stopped, perhaps turned around, or found a place to park and waited until "order" was restored. Her car is never totally surrounded and she does continue at high speed through the crowd. I dont blame her for being scared but it is also understandable that she might be charged with something.

Good observation, so would you have proceeded to drive down that street?

It's NYC for ''''''s sake, the choices of which streets to use are pretty overwhelming.

NYC has 8,000 miles of road divided into 32,000 streets.

You know it is against the law to riot, loot, commit arson, and assault right? That includes assaulting those in vehicles when you are illegally blocking the road like bunch of jackasses! The rioters blocking the road were the real Darwin award winners; and since they weren't arrested or charged they will be able to inflict their stupidity on others!

First, great jobs of talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Second, protesters do not have the right to block streets unless they have a permit. Of course these were rioters, so you don't have a point!

Lastly, get the fuck out of the street or get run the fuck over! Especially when assaulting anyone in a vehicle.

It'd be better than a northeastern Mariupol.  The biggest difference between Mariupol and New York is that Mariupol was destroyed by invaders while New York has been destroyed by New Yorkers.

Democrats are doing a fine job of destroying the United States without any help.  Russians in St. Petersburg only need sit back and watch.  Democrats are already doing Putin's job.
