The anonymous person who filed a formal, uncorroborated complaint against President Donald Trump for allegedly asking a foreign leader to investigate corruption related to Joe Biden now has a legal team that includes a Democratic operative who worked for Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.).

Andrew Bakaj, now a managing partner at the Compass Rose Legal Group, interned for Schumer in the spring of 2001 and for Clinton in the fall of the same year,   according   to Bakaj’s LinkedIn page. More recently, Bakaj has worked as an official in the CIA and Pentagon and specializes in whistleblower and security clearances in his legal practice.

Andrew P. Bakaj, a former C.I.A. and Pentagon official whose legal practice specializes in whistle-blower and security clearance issues, confirmed that he is representing the official who filed the complaint. https:// twitter.com/JuliaDavisNews /status/1174711984585138176

Watchdog Refuses to Detail Whistle-Blower Complaint About Trump
The complaint, being discussed in a closed meeting with House lawmakers, addresses a commitment that President Trump was said to have made to a world leader. https:// nyti.ms/306R2bf

Bakaj’s anonymous client has filed complaint based on rumors accusing Trump of requesting that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky investigate 2020 Democratic frontrunner and former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, for their business dealings with a Ukrainian energy company. The intelligence inspector general decided the complaint is “credible” and “urgent,” but officials at the Department of National Intelligence say otherwise due to the lack of evidence undergirding the complaint and have refused to release it to Congress. The anonymous whistleblower has also admitted to not having firsthand knowledge of the conversations between the president and Zelensky.

Regardless, House Democrats again demanded Trump’s   impeachment   Tuesday following the claims despite not reviewing the complaint or the transcripts of the conversation between the two world leaders. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who has been hesitant to join calls for impeachment,   announced   a formal impeachment inquiry into the president Tuesday evening.

President Trump announced Tuesday afternoon that he has authorized the release of unredacted transcripts between himself and Zelensky.

I am currently at the United Nations representing our Country, but have authorized the release tomorrow of the complete, fully declassified and unredacted transcript of my phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine....

Last night Fox News was the only news outlet to report of the whistleblower's bias. Why aren't the others giving us all the facts?

Why does the whistleblower's attorney perhaps being a Democrat necessarily indicate any political bias of the whistleblower's? Trump's attorney is deeply implicated in Trump's repeated attempts to get Ukraine to illegally interfere in our US Presidential election. That is the big story outside the conservative bubble today. Did you even see Rudy's meltdown on luve TV last night? Oh Boy! Trump criminal presidency is finslly going down faster than the Hindenburg. "OH THE HORROR" /S...

We've seen this movie before, haven't we?  Was it an accident that the legal team for Christine Blasey Ford happened to be connected to democtrats? I don't know about you but if I'm the guy making the "urgent charge" against the President I wouldn't want to appear in any way to be biased. Using lawyers connected to the resistance is a major credibility problem.

Trump's attorney is deeply implicated in Trump's repeated attempts to get Ukraine to illegally interfere in our US Presidential election.

Giuliani?   He was asked to look into Ukrainian corruption allegations by the State Department. He reported to them.

That is the big story outside the conservative bubble today.

It's a liberal narrative. One that distracts from Joe Bidens conflict of interest & corruption.

Trump presidency is going down faster than the Hindenburg...

Talk is cheap. Anytime you want to wager on that let us know.

yeah, I'm not that concerned about the party affiliation of the lawyer. I would rather hope that he's going to do the best legal job for his client.

But one question that I've not seen asked, who is paying for this legal team? Is the whistleblower independently wealthy or is this being paid for by the Democrats in one fashion or another?

I ask as this story reads like the Mueller report did,  same build up and same party politics and the same people hoping to see Trump perp-walked out of the Oval Office. I'm willing to wait for it all to come out before I jump but I would like, for once, to have all the cards on the table. Not that we will get that, party politics are too important to too many people in Washington.

He's biased because he worked for Schumer or Clinton 18 or 19 years ago?

gimme a break.

What about being forced out of the CIA in 2014?  Shouldn't he be pissed off at Obama, et al?

He helped set up the government's whistle blower system and was burned by the same system during a Democratic Administration

and now in private practice, specializes in whistle blower cases and is nationally recognized as the best lawyer in that field.

Was that mentioned on Fox news?

I'm sure the IG, you know, the same IG who found him credible, has described him as biased and I assume it's for more than his choice of lawyers. Are you saying the IG was thinking solely of his lawyers when he indicated a bias?

Remember, it was a second hand report coming from the so called "whistleblower."

What about being forced out of the CIA in 2014?

What of it?

Shouldn't he be pissed off at Obama, et al?

Was Obama behind that? It seems from reading your article that it was an internal issue between him and the CIA.
I did notice this from your article:

"Bakaj authored the regulations the CIA is required to follow to comply with President Barack Obama’s Presidential Policy Directive 19, designed to protect intelligence community whistleblowers with access to classified information."

Was that mentioned on Fox news?

Just what I posted last night. The same IG who brought forward the WB complaint described him as bias, yet still thought the complaint had merit.  Nobody should be arguing with that. Everybody did their job. I'll say it again - The WB complaint was based on second hand info. After seeing the text today, I can understand why somebody could interpret that conversation a certain way. The conversation shows poor judgement by the President, but it is certainly not anywhere near a crime. So I ask myself "how did this go so far?"  Answer - another government Trump hater interpreted that conversation as a crime.

The ironic part is that the person who actually committed the very crime being alleged was Joe Biden. Furthermore the previous Ukrainian government helped get dirt on Paul Manafort. That's two offenses. One for Biden and one for Mueller (or should I say Weissmann).

Right now the Ukrainian leader is answering the questions from an angry American media. They don't seem to like his answers.

I swear there are more leaks in the Trump administration than there are people working in it.

Of course what qualifies as a leak these days might be some never Trumper with rampant TDDS sitting in their mom's basement living in their own fantasy world typing in whatever crack pot conspiracy theories that enter their addled mind. The conspiracies get regurgitated across the internet by other like minded never Trumpers. Until the never Trumpers within the government get a hold of them and take it as reality. The media then jumps on it and takes it as gospel; and a new leftist truth (read prayer) is born.

Nope. That’s just a pleasant side effect.  The real reasons for supporting Trump are the great job he’s doing now, the economy, policy matters in general, the judiciary. On the other hand, watching a bunch of democrats crying on election night 2020 wherever their “victory” party HQ might be will make up for and then some all the vitriol directed our way the last 4 years by some...

Color me shocked!  Trump's own IG found the possibility of a political bias?  Trump has already claimed that, unfortunately he claimed it without knowing the identity of the whistle blower.  Maybe he was one of Mueller's 27 Democrat FBI agents......

What the hell are you talking about???  I never claimed the IG didn't know the identity of the whistle blower.

Weren't you all just 10 minutes ago saying how reliable this IG was because he was trump appointed, and now you are trying to smear him for being trump appointed?

Are you saying the IG is not working under Trump?

IG's once appointed have acted remarkably well. Example: Trump's IG brings forward the WB complaint and calls it credible. Obama's IG investigates Obama's FBI and brings forward criminal referrals. It's called integrity.

Or are you saying that everyone working under Trump is 100% corrupt, so would never have blown the whistle?

I guess I'm saying those who hate Trump are haters.
