China on the Edge
It's very dangerous. We cannot let China, Russia, Iran, North Korea -- what I call the new axis of evil -- dictate foreign policy to us. The weakness of Joe Biden and this administration, the hesitancy they have had with dealing with the Chinese Communist Party is causing issues domestically for us. It is causing foreign policy issues. You need to let your allies know that they're your allies and your enemies know that they are your enemies, and they are going to be held to account. When you...

Xi Jinping

Nancy Pelosi made a photo-op visit to Taiwan. Biden's handlers tried to dissuade her by leaking the planned visit. After Pelosi left, China began a four day military exercise in 6 zones that circle Taiwan. A few of the zones face the island’s biggest commercial ports and are within 12 miles of Taiwan's coastline. Some military analysts have described it as a temporary blockade. The exercise began Thursday using warships and about 100 planes. Eleven missiles were fired, some of them splashing down in Japan's economic zone.

Link to the above quote:

https://www.foxnews.com/media/marsha-blackburn-slams-biden-blurred-policy-toward-china-faulkner-focus-dangerous

So what has our leader done about it?  First of all, Joe Biden is isolated because he has covid again. His (or his handlers) immediate reaction was to  postpone the scheduled test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) to avoid upsetting China. He had no comment on the missiles splashing down in Japan's economic zone. Biden is appeasing China, as the Asian superpower flexes its military muscle all around Taiwan. It wasn't that long ago that Trump held China by the collar.

The Week:

FBI Director Wray testifies:  Thursday the FBI Director appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he answered questions ranging from the Hunter Biden investigation to the rampant crime going on in big blue cities. Important questions need to be asked concerning the FBI's blatant political bias, the investigations/intimidation of parents at school board meetings and Wray's failure to clean up the mess. Today's performance was pathetic. The FBI still can't explain what happened to Hunter's laptop, which was in their custody. Wray is about half way through his term. If he can't do the job, he should resign or be fired by the probable next Republican President.

Governor DeSantis suspends woke prosecutor:  Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Thursday that he would be removing Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren, a twice-elected Democrat who made the mistake of saying that he would decline prosecuting cases involving violations related to abortion and gender-transition treatments.  “State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda,”  Mr. DeSantis said.  “It is my duty to hold Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida.”

WNBA All-Star Britney Griner was sentenced to 9 years:  The sentence which is the norm for drug possession and smuggling in Russia.  Stay tuned....Maybe Joe Biden will make a trade.

The weeks good news story:  "In a faceoff that lasted seconds, an armed man was shot by an 80-year-old Southern California store owner who pulled a shotgun out from behind the counter and opened fire during an attempted robbery. Surveillance video captured the moment the business owner opened fire on would-be robbers armed with long rifles at the convenience store in   Norco, a city in Riverside County  roughly 50 miles east of Los Angeles."

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2022/08/03/armed-robber-80-owner-california-shotgun-norco/10226047002/

"Inflation Reduction Act" is prepped for procedural vote:  "  Mr. Schumer said Thursday that the Senate would take an initial procedural vote on the package on Saturday afternoon, setting in motion a series of votes that could wrap up within days." "Successfully shepherding the bill through the Senate means contending with the demands of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D., Ariz.), another pivotal centrist   whose support Democrats will need   for the bill, as well as an anticipated onslaught of Republican amendments that could challenge Democratic unity on issues like raising taxes and border policy."

https://www.wsj.com/articles/kyrsten-sinema-gop-fuel-fears-for-fate-of-democrats-climate-plan-11659618001

(Update on that one: Sinema is now on board)

What Have We Learned?

First and foremost, right here we learned that "abortion" is the hot button issue for the Feminist Brigade. Let's just ponder that. What possess a full grown woman to ignore suffering and dedicate all of their time & conversation to this fanatical cause of an explicit right to have an abortion?  Not that abortion is any danger of being outlawed. What on earth can make a woman that coarse and bitter?  What happened in their lives to cause such an unfeminine instinct? Maybe somebody can figure it out by examining the endless abortion seeds we see here. If someone comes up with an answer, let me know.

Does anyone recall the little lecture Obama gave at North High School in Des Moines, Iowa? He famously advised leftist students to debate rather than dismiss opposing views:

“I’ve heard some college campuses where they don’t want to have a guest speaker who is too conservative or they don’t want to read a book if it has language that is offensive to African-Americans or somehow sends a demeaning signal towards women,” Obama said. “I gotta tell you I don’t agree with that either. I don’t agree that you, when you become students at colleges, have to be coddled and protected from different points of view.”

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/obama-college-political-correctness_n_55f8431ee4b00e2cd5e80198

Well, I don't think many got the message. I've been to the back room and I can tell you that it's an echo chamber where no opposing views are allowed. BTW, you'll find people there that you might not have heard from in months.

The Cartoon of the Week:

Honorable Mention:

c3cc6ef1e5fa38fd77b951fa562fab06

Governor Ron DeSantis with his new State Attorney - Hillsborough County Judge Susan Lopez.

Also worthy of mention is Craig Cope who defended himself and his store.

And Ro Malabanan, a good Samaratan for taking down a thug in NYC

This is what some in the media are calling "a good week for Biden." Meanwhile many democrats don't want to talk about supporting him in 2024.

That must be the new litmus question for democrats via Fox News: "Would you support a Biden candidacy in 2024?"

Ask that question and they squirm.

Don't remember China conducting such a massive military exercise around Taiwan before the Human Fuck Up Machine took office. Joe is supposed to be great friends with Xi. Maybe he should try being bitter enemies instead; because it is a one sided friendship- with Xi taking advantage of Biden (or paying him off if you prefer) repeatedly.

Biden is not the problem. Angry, Republican Insurrectionist, Corrupt Rich Republicans in public office are the real threat to this country.

Fucking TDS suffering morons wouldn't know an insurrection if they were about ready to be executed because of one. Jan 6th is the only insurrection where they got bored and left for Happy Hour. The only person killed was an unarmed ex Marine female rioter; by a Barney Fife wannabe; that somehow managed not to lose his gun for a change in the bathroom.

When your Conservative views are so enmeshed with politics, that you will resort to outlandish bullshit to bash a settling president, because that DANGEROUS POS, Donald J. When you suffer from rampant TDS you back a Human Fuck Up Machine who has:

  • Single handedly opened our southern border to any illegal that cares to cross it (They are all criminals violating our; but some of the them are Cartels, terrorists, rapists, and gang members- looking for the better life Brandon's US has to offer).
  • Abandoned US citizens in Afghanistan; and has "turned the page" to make sure they don't get out.
  • Emboldened Russia to start a war in Ukraine
  • Destroyed US energy production.
  • Begged our enemies for oil. We would still be getting oil from Russia if they hadn't invaded Ukraine. Brandon is willing to let Iran get nukes if they will just sell us some oil. He will side with any South American dictator if they can just increase their production and send the US some oil. At least he managed to piss off our ally Saudi Arabia. With a few more visits by Brandon; they will gladly welcome China and Russia into the fold. Both of those countries have better leverage over Iran than the US does right now.

  • Put the US into a recession. No matter how hard Brandon Co try to change the definition and spin it. With rampant inflation and increased fuel prices. Brandon needs to be reminded he that every last gallon of oil needs to be replaced that he is stealing from the Federal Oil Reserves. The temporary dip in fuel prices will gone the second the US government has to make a bulk purchase of oil. In the meantime Brandon betting be praying to the God most leftists doesn't believe exists no disasters occur that we need the oil from our now diminished reserves.
  • Put into place a wonderful two tier justice system; that has criminals, leftists, and Democrats laughing at laws- as it pursues Jan 6th rioters for violating that most important of laws "Parading"! Hell, the FBI admitted it didn't have the resources to go after leftist activists violating the law by protesting outside of conservative Supreme Court Justices houses illegally. They are just too busy tracking down Jan 6th rioters!
We are on the tipping edge of a GD Civil War, and International WWIII stoked by Russia, China, and North Korea, and supported by Iran,

Whose fault is it again that we are on the edge of a Civil War? When TDS driven morons in the House feel free to defy all laws and ethics to put on a show trial; and demand a highly politically biased AG to press charges on their findings (Of doctored videos; omitted evidence; trying to force Trump lawyers to turn over files and testify against him (seems that client confidentiality only applies to Democrats and those they support); and only putting interviewers on stage that have been heavily coached and repeat "Get Trump at all costs" message). Think putting Trump on trial won't fracture this country further? Democrats have been trying to get Trump since he became the Republican nominee. But that is OK; because it is just Trump; and the ends justify the means.

As for WWIII. Than the weak incompetent Human Fuck Up Machine you helped put into office.

According to Politico , the former president said: "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f... things up."

Mr. Obama was also said to have spoken about his own understanding of the 2020 Democrat electorate in Iowa.

"And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden," he reportedly said.

"I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades,” former Defense Secretary Robert Gates says of Vice President Joe Biden in his new book coming out later this month.

Knowing that dumb fucks still put him the White House. He has proven both Obama and Gates right beyond a shadow of a doubt.

“She was asking me for other favors, like speaking and fundraisers and meeting with potential donors. I didn’t think that I what I chose to do to help was a felony, but it was careless,” he explained. “Being prosecuted was the furthest thing from my mind.”

Your comparison of those two cases is ridiculous Vic.

There ARE some very important differences between them, not the least of them is the fact that Clinesmith pled guilty and accepted responsibility while D' Souza STILL whines about being 'selectively prosecuted'.

Oh, and the little fact that D'Souza conspired with his assistant and mistress to violate federal law and then lied to his 'friend' the candidate, about it.

Ya, there's a difference.

My comment made it quite clear. Has anything changed at the IRS?  Lois Lerner, the career official at the center of the IRS scandal, retired on full pension after invoking her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination before Congress.  The dishonest media then stopped covering the story.

Why? It would not matter one bit as long as it wasn't an IRS employee.

... the Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the First Amendment allows the press to publish newsworthy information that was legally obtained by reporters even when those in power fight to keep it hidden. That powerful principle of the First Amendment applies here.

The newspaper got the information then from “someone who had legal access to it,” who they also declined to identify.

That's an oxymoron.

Solomon's tenure at the Washington Times was focused on profit, not necessarily what  The Unification Church wanted.

In 2019 The Hill had to go back in time to review and correct Solomon's OpEds.

Fox fired him after he foisted a false story and then doubled down on it.

If a conservative shill like Solomon loses face with The Hill and Fox News and the Washington Times,

maybe a new source is in order.

Jest sayin'.

You mean the facts his opinion was based on?

I recall that the Hill's complaint was that Solomon's opinion pieces read like news stories.

Am I correct?

Some of the staff was going to quit The Hill, including numerous reporters, if Solomon wasnt demoted from investigative reporter to op-ed contributor , and he was.  Seems there were too many holes in some of his stories he wrote while he was an "investigative reporter". An op-ed writer doesnt need to stick to the facts as much.

It seems that the facts of Hunter Biden and his dealings in the Ukraine have been proven true. The complaint was that it looked like a news story when it was an op-ed.

In Wong’s exchange with Speier, the reporter stressed that he works on the Hill’s news side,

whereas Solomon was an “opinion contributor,” a risible title  invented  when Solomon’s conspiratorial “news” stories so alienated staffers that they demanded distance from the veteran Washington scribe.

According to Calderone, Speier dismissed the distinction. As she should have.

The "facts" that the Trump State Department said were unfounded

or the "facts" that Solomon's "source" ( a former Ukranian prosecutor ) also denied?

You are submitting an opinion piece?

Here - right from the horses mouth:

While Solomon’s columns on Ukraine were labeled as opinion, they largely read like news stories. Adding to the potential confusion between opinion and news, Solomon was identified as “an award-winning journalist” in his column tagline. When appearing on television to discuss his Ukraine columns, Solomon was not typically labeled an opinion writer by the broadcast programs. The Hill did not contact television producers to label Solomon as an opinion columnist. It should have.

.

A far cry from making stuff up!

You mean the one that Biden threatened to deny aid to?

Solomon's main source, who he did name was Lev Parnas.

Meanwhile, the sources that fed the Russia/collusion hoax to all of the msm have never been revealed.

Bob Cusack, editor-in-chief of The Hill, wrote on Monday that John Solomon is a new “opinion contributor” for the Capitol Hill publication. “[E]ffective immediately when he writes for us, it will be as an opinion contributor,” noted Cusack in an email to colleagues.

In the past, Solomon has worked on news/investigative pieces for The Hill’s site — frequently collaborating with Alison Spann — on the Clinton Foundation, the Russia investigation and adjacent topics.   Colleagues at The Hill complained to management   over Solomon stories that they thought lacked context and rigor. A   Jan. 8 piece about alleged news leaks to the media , meanwhile, fetched a   meticulous dismemberment at the hands of the Huffington Post . And  as this blog has argued , the October 2017 Solomon-Spann collaboration on the Uranium One-Clinton Foundation nexus was a rickety, flimsy mess of innuendo and insufficient connections.

The last time that Solomon was an investigative reporter with any objectivity was

around 2008.  Since then he was just another angry conservative with connections

to many partisan news outlets, most of which have since banned him because of

his style over substance approach to his "journalism".

What happened in 2008?  Obama was elected.

Whatever you want to call him, he got the Hunter Biden story right as did Miranda Devine.

What a shame that the dishonest left wing media stifled the truth during the 2020 election.

I expect nothing less from the left.

You dont understand. He was demoted from reporter to op ed contributor at The Hill precisely because his "news stories" read like op-eds.

Was Hunter on the ballot?

No more so than Trump's kids I suppose and collectively they made quite a bit more

money than Hunter, right under our noses while some were "working" in the WH.

I expect nothing less from the left.

I expect more from the right.

Didn't Wonder Son in Law gety a TWO BILLION DOLLAR , as in $2,000,000,000.00 dollar deal with the Saudi's ? As it was widely reported that he DID! For what ? Pleas, someone, anyone, please explain. I believe Hunter Biden was wrong, not sure if determinable by the head honchos or not, but he pulled off a political deal that should have been major eye opener and attention grabber for all, missing their phone cards.

The Hill claims Jared and Ivanka made up to $640 million outside of the WH while

serving there.  Their combined net wort is estimated to be $840 million.

Compared to them Hunter is very small potatoes.

His highest earned income between 2014  and 2017 was $6 million,

he pretty much resigned from everything in 2019, sold some

assets and everyone pretty much agrees he has a net worth of about $1 million.
