This song was very important to me, her name was Sally, and yes, I'm that old. Have no idea why the picture doesn't come up, using Windows 11 with Edge.

Guy Mitchell - My Heart Cries for You (1950) (youtube.com)

Same with me, but with John Denver's For Baby For Bobbie that was my late wife's favorite song and was played at our wedding.

lol.   Your tastes are like mine.   Eclectic.    When I fire up my wireless Bose on my Pandora Thumbprint radio station, folks are treated to music from classical to punk.

It freaks some folks out …

yeah... one day it's Pink Floyd, the next John Coltrane, the next Muddy Waters, Beethoven, Bear McCreary soundtracks from Battlestar Galactica... Edith Piaf or Viagra Boys... My mood changes and I get bored. On boring days at work I'll do deep dives on YouTube...

ABBA   In my humble opinion the best group ever. Their music is timeless, and they remain very popular today. Hit after hit, and they released a new album just a couple years ago.

First of all I would like to thank those of you who have the courtesy of posting the name of the songs in regular text in addition to just using sites I'm unable to open, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating songs already posted.

You are free to most likely find these songs on YouTube, which I'm unable to open.

If Not For You - written by Bob Dylan and sung by George Harrison

Wonderful Tonight - written and sung by Eric Clapton

Suzanne - written and sung by Leonard Cohen

Love songs can be about places as well.

I Love Paris - written by Cole Porter and sung by Frank Sinatra

I Left My Heart in San Francisco - written and sung by Tony Bennett

Yerushalayim Shel Zahav (Jerusalem of Gold) - written by Naomi Shemer and sung by various artists and choruses.  This song is played on El Al commercial airplanes as they are coming in for a landing at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) from other countries.  It has the effect of bringing tears to the eyes of many of the passengers, it did to mine.  In this case I'm providing a link to enable you to see the English translation and listen to the song (click the small red speaker symbol on the left over the lyrics).
