Internal Polling
But internal Harris campaign polls show her within the margin of error in each of the seven battleground states that will help determine the winner, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter said. In the latest batch, she is tied in Pennsylvania, up slightly in Wisconsin and down in Michigan, one source said.

Link to quote: Harris campaign shifts strategy as anxiety rises over Trump gains | Reuters

National polling shows Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in a very tight race, but that is not the way the Harris campaign is acting. Kamala Harris is out doing things she would never do if her campaign had any confidence in wining. Reports on early voting indicate that Republicans are finally taking advantage of banking their votes. There is also another indicator that internal polls are showing the Harris campaign in trouble:

"Ads have been released that show four Democratic Senate candidates in battleground states either working with former President Donald Trump or agreeing with his messaging as the November election is less than a month away.

Campaign ads for Rep. Elissa Slotkin in Michigan, Sen. Sherrod Brown in Ohio, Sen. Bob Casey in Pennsylvania, and Sen. Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin focus on the Democratic candidates' alliance with Trump or his policies, implying that aligning with the former president may benefit their campaigns more than siding with Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris."

Democrats in tight Senate races run ads touting their work with Trump | Just The News

That poses the question of how wildly different the internal campaign polling must be from the polling that the American people are looking at.

Yesterday Kamala Harris basically took a day off from campaigning as Barack Obama and Tim Walz campaigned for her in the battleground state of Wisconsin. Meanwhile Joe Biden made what might be called a Freudian slip by saying that former President Trump should be locked up. He quickly walked it back. He need not worry about our dishonest media taking his comments out of context the way they have consistently done to Trump. There are some on the left who don't want to acknowledge that. Others tell us that lawfare against a Presidential candidate during an election is ok. They even have the tenacity to call the rest of us "partisan. "

In the news:

The Israeli military said it had killed Hezbollah's likely new leader in an airstrike earlier this month. Hamas’s military ranks are depleted, and its leaders are dead. Meanwhile Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during his 11th trip to Israel since the war began, urged the government there to end the war in Gaza.

U.S. prosecutors charged a member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards with trying to assassinate a human rights activist in Brooklyn.

A Fulton County judge said she is siding with attorney Ashleigh Merchant in the lawyer's lawsuit against the Fulton County DA's office over records requests. While she did not make an official ruling yet, the judge said that she found that the DA's office did not engage in a good-faith effort to fulfill the requests.

The C.D.C. linked an E. coli outbreak to McDonalds quarter pounder hamburgers. One person has died, and 49 people have gotten sick.

“We got to lock him up,” President Biden said of Trump, before quickly backtracking and saying he meant "politically lock him up."

Bill Gates, who usually avoids politics, gave about $50 million to a Harris affiliated group. Kamala Harris has raised a $ billion war chest and is outspending the Trump campaign 3-1.

Despite the lies we hear; CBS still refuses to turn over the complete transcript of its 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris. Former President Donald Trump threatened to sue CBS News on Monday in a letter to the network demanding the release of a full, unedited transcript of Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent interview with “60 Minutes.”

Which is exactly why we have this empty-headed radical leftist twat as a candidate for president.

Biden made clear she was selected for VP because of her gender and race. She hasn't earned the right to be president. She was foisted onto the electorate by a small group of elitest progressive power brokers. Ordinary people have had no say so. If she wasn't good enough in 2020, she's not good enough now.

“.:.Skin color, gender and how you identify is NOT a qualification…”

And conversely, it should NOT be a disqualification. One party is actively seeking legislation across state and federal lines to ensure it remains a barrier, while the other is seeking to prevent such measures. Until we can find even a modicum of compromise, it will remain just another issue to divide us.

We forget the individual in our rush to judgment in lumping entire communities as a perceived threat. The real threat is in accepting, advocating for and implementing such discriminatory policy.

Your vote is pretty much meaningless in the election because of the Electoral College.

Why do you think the primary process is any different?

Conventions can be and have been challenged and have replaced the candidate with the most primary votes.

The rules say the convention voting determines the candidate.

They installed her as there wasn't time to do anything else

Agreed.  Now what?  Are you going to even hint that you would be voting for a Democrat if he or she had completed the process?  You are certainly not a Biden supporter.

The GOP is silent on the issue because they know how it works and probably wishes it were otherwise

but they cannot stop it or challenge it.  Who's in charge of the RNC Laura Trump, where the hell has she been?

Ferguson was the result of pent up frustration over how minorities are treated by police.  Ferguson provided visibility to the issue.

To use your starting point for this "disaster" we can say it happened when blacks and other minority groups became more activist. The issues were always there, they were just more under the surface.

Obama was far more the victim of racial prejudice than the perpetrator of it.

Trump’s election killed any illusions anyone might have had about a “post-racial” America. Indeed, Trump was successful in finding a predominately white audience who lapped up his overt racism toward people of color and who were eager to embrace a rising sense of   white victimhood

Trump may be out of power, but those feelings aren’t. They may even be growing.

With President Biden having just passed one full year in office, public opinion research shows that white Americans — and especially Republicans — see whites as victims of discrimination more than, say, Hispanic or Black Americans. According to a 2021 survey by the  Pew Research Center , for example, only 17 percent of Republican and Republican-leaning Americans said there is “a lot” of discrimination against Black people in today’s society. That number rose to 26 percent when Republicans were asked whether they believed  white  people faced “a lot” of discrimination.

“But whites can be the victims of racism.”

Of course we can, only confirming that it is inherent in our human nature, for a myriad of reasons.

How we confront it, how we communicate its detrimental effects, and how willing we are to coalesce in making it a relic of the past will determine if we move forward or if it remains forever a detrimental wedge.

Hope lies in our young, as we have collectively demonstrated neither the will nor the need to change our behavior. Hope also lies in leadership, those brave souls willing to address the challenges without judgment, without rancor, and without fear of political retribution. Teachers, business administrators, and (gasp) elected officials must put aside the fears and focus on the possibilities.

Hope I live long enough to witness our betterment. Peace!

You put a "news of the day" recap and you dont mention John Kelly.   Why is that?

Donald Trump told Kelly he had never heard of Gen. Erwin Rommel.  Anyone who has ever watched a movie about the war in Europe knows who Rommel was.

Kelly in is own voice confirmed that Trump had called American war dead "suckers and losers"  and there is no longer any doubt that it happened.

And you think the transcript of the 60 minutes Kamala Harris interview is more newsworthy?  What is wrong here?

Should someone who says that dead American soldiers were suckers and losers be president of the United States?

Should  someone who doesnt want to be seen with people who are amputees because of war injuries be president?

Should someone who is described as a fascist by his own top white house aide be president?

Hitler's generals were in many respects terrified of him, and carried out war crimes at Hitlers request.  Trump wants generals like Hitlers generals.  This person should be president of the United States ?

Lol. That old story.  Goldberg first tried it in 2020. When everyone denied it, he promised he'd bring forward evidence to prove it.

He never did.

Now it gets resurrected in time for another election.  Anderson Cooper said Kelly confirmed it a few weeks ago. So you are literally re rerunning accusations you tried to refresh three weeks ago.  Is there enough time to break this story, again, before the election?

Goldberg is dishonest as his reporting of the Guillen family demonstrates. It's impossible to take his anonymously sourced stories on their face.

That whole thing is falling apart.  Sadly the left doesn't understand it.

“We got to lock him up,” President Biden said of Trump, before quickly backtracking and saying he meant "politically lock him up."

You forgot to annotate ‘men’ in your thoughts here, for real men are neither threatened nor harassed by those who would have them become mere lapdogs.

They rather are educated in the events of the day, apply that understanding to do what is best for their loved ones, and dismiss any criticism coming their way for speaking, standing, and not succumbing to the illusion they are weak in their convictions.
