A slip of the tongue

A slip of the tongue
"A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States," she said. She quickly clarified, "The Biden-Harris administration will provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners."

A slip of the tongue is defined as a speaker saying or revealing something unintentionally.  Yesterday, speaking at a business roundtable in Arizona, Joe Biden's chosen/assigned running mate accidentally touted certain economic plans under a "Harris administration."  Kamala Harris was promoting the Biden campaign's "Build Back Better" (LMAO) initiative when she made what some might call a Freudian slip by stating "A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,"  (she quickly clarified), "The Biden-Harris administration will provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners." As Iv'e been saying right along, senile old Joe is nothing but a proxy for the democrats. I think Kamala feels the same way. She is the tail that hopes to wag the brain dead dog.

Before I forget (none of us should forget):

A shout out to the leftist haters in LA:

Back to our dear Kamala: She also wants us all to know that the Blake family is doing well as the father continues to make anti-Semitic comments: Facebook posts show him making anti-Semitic comments (such as saying the Jews control the media), repeatedly refer to white people as “crackers” and “pinks” or “pink toes,” trash the Christian church, and refer to some women as “hoes.” In one post, he wrote, “Fresh out of Facebook penitentiary I say f*** the white man.” In 2019, he captioned a graphic that reads “white Jesus exposed as the biggest fraud unleashed on the planet,” with the following: “Crackers have never told the truth diabolical Liars.” The posts date to 2019 and 2018.

We are using the off topic ruling as described by TiG the other day. Trump can be acknowledged as President and his name can be mentioned, but he cannot become the topic of this discussion.

To put it another way Mr Kraken, I think Biden will get 80% of the black vote and 55% of the Hispanic vote (less than 5% of the Cuban American vote to be precise) and hopefully lose in a landslide electoral defeat. Otherwise, lawyers for the DNC will try to steal a close election.

I think (and worry) that Judge Napolitano was right in a recent article and that the legal fight over this election is going to make the Florida hanging chad recount look like a cakewalk. Most states have stated that election results for a Nov 3rd election must be certified by the end of November or early December, how rough will the fighting be?  And this one I think is going to be especially tough as the two major parties fight over matching the signature on the envelope to the voter registration card.

And IMO I would hope that any state would hold suspect any batch of ballots brought in by a ballot harvestor which shows up late and are all marked for one party. It's gonna be a rough election I believe.  Someone should start a betting board (if those are even legal here) on how late states are with certifying the election results.

But of all the states planning on sending ballots to all registered voters, how many of them have already beefed up their election staffers for counting ballots and all the verification work that comes with it? I remember hearing of one state in the midwest who's elections commissioner stated during an interview that by state law a citizen of the state could request a mail-in ballot the day before election day. Now how in the hell are they planning on getting the ballot mailed out to the person so that the person can fill it out and get it back in the mail in a 24 hour period?  The partisan talking points, political in-fighting and lack of critical thought sometimes just amazes me.

The constitution implies one person one vote. It does not specify that all the people have to stand in line on November 3rd to do anything. That is why people make it convenient to their schedules. You many remember that all sorts of shenanigans where "instituted" to vex the voting poor throughout history. For instance, bosses would demand their workers come in early and stay late (before and after polling times) as discouragement to change national leaders and policies against their favor.

Or something to that effect. I admit I don't have the 'dirty tricks playbook' ne'er me at this instance.

I could be wrong ... but ...

Until Democrats altered our voting process in 2020 primaries with "mandatory, unverified, universal mail-in ballots", US citizens' voting options were twofold:

  • Request an Absentee Ballot. After your ID (citizenship) was verified, you received a verified ballot, filled in your choices, and then submitted your Absentee Ballot.

OR ...

  • Vote IN PERSON on Election Day after one's signature/ID had been verified by poll workers. In some states, photo ID required ... in others, just walk in and fake the signature in the book.

This system worked for centuries!

On January 23, 1845, the 28th US Congress passed "An act to establish a uniform time for holding elections for electors of President and Vice President in all the States of the Union. The act selected "the Tuesday after the first Monday in November" as the day on which all states must appoint electors. This standardization greatly increased the speed of Presidential elections; the previous election of 1844 lasted from November 1-December 4. From 1848 onward, every Presidential election has been held on this date. Presidential Election Day Act ch. 1, 5  Stat. 721

However, it appears to be up to each State to change this if they choose to do so...

Whenever any State has held an election for the purpose of choosing electors, and has failed to make a choice on the day prescribed by law, the electors may be appointed on a subsequent day in such a manner as the legislature of such State may direct.

(June 25, 1948, ch. 644, 62 Stat. 672 .)
That's not to say that the people performing the voting aren't supposed to stick to the prescribed date.

Don' be misguided here. Tell MsAubrey the election (singular) is held on November 3rd. However, early voting is an accepted and approved statue established like many other "read-ins" into civic law (that is, until some bitching and moaning conservatives can't stand others "winning" do it) by states and federal systems alike.

MsAubrey, Texan I discern knows better than this. He is just bullshitting around the way he always does on my comments.

To wit, the election is always held at its appointed time; some conservatives are bitching and moaning about it because democrats have lawyers do who won "mail-in" voting (which conservatives do too) and "souls to the polls" and "early-voting" all taking in specifics, while they sat on their conservative tiny population haunches and bitch and moan—instead of interacting with the system.

It would seem to me that some conservatives wait it out to see whatever page  or set of issues and activities the democrats, secularists, liberals, and Others will take - just so they can be contrarians holding to the opposite.

Only the Trump conservatives are talking about dragging shit into protracted scenarios, because they litigate (and steal) victory out of the mouth of defeat - in courts, which they think they have sufficiently stacked with "grateful" life-long and well-paid white men. The scheming never stops with some conservatives. The greed is insufferable; how can this world bear all this misery caused by selfish, greedy, never satiated types?

Did you ever think this nation would be reduced to this?

Not this quickly, but the average American citizen cannot yet conceive of the devious tactics the Democrats will use to gain control over the people of this country.  If they ever gain this ability, they will change the laws where they will never lose another election.  Those who are not on our side at this time will finally not be able to close their eyes tight enough to keep from seeing what they have done to themselves and their children.

This is not about Trump.  The Democrats want to fundamentally transform this country into a Socialist country.  And it's not going to be anything like you think it will be.  You think you don't have much input today?  Well, you won't have any once they gain enough power to fully implement their policies.  And sorry, Libs, but that goes for you, too.  They are willing to burn this country to the ground in order to become your master.  This is not the Democrat Party we grew up with.

According to BBC , President Donald Trump said he didn’t meet with Jacob Blake Jr.’s family when he visited Kenosha because they wanted lawyers present. In an interview with CNN, Jacob Blake Sr. said he was not “dealing with politics” and was focused on his son’s health.

Convenient considering he had no issues with meeting with Biden. I read the things Sr. posted on FB in that article... he's a hateful man.

Yes, indeed. Decades of Democrat "plantation" promises. Sad.

oh and he "appointed" a "black" woman.

A black woman who, as a prosecutor, didn't have a problem incarcerating thousands of black people for minor drug (marijuana) "crimes".

And you think you can lecture black people about who is a suitable black candidate for them? Where is the republican woman of any stripe up for nomination for VP or President? How is that conservative "plantation" working out?  The Unmentionable One 'rode' all your white male candidates down into the 'soil' and treated Carly Fiorina so distastefully that in 2020 she is voting for a democratic ticket (with a woman VP candidate) on it!

See mocking works both ways. Even yet, mocking people is ignorant, silly, and petty.

Ain't doing nothing? He clearly didn't learn English grammar in his mandatory public school "education".

"Miserable broads"?  His family didn't teach him respect ... even toward women.

When Biden talked with Mr. Blake, I hope he tried to teach him human values and respect ... but I doubt it.

You can. Bet that. Yet "Mr. Unmentionable" reads his lines with the madness of Gollum (though less accurate) and nary a critique. Weak. Ms. Harris self-corrected in the next sentence immediately following. But carry on finding fault with humans who are on camera for their spoken words. Meaning, tone, and intent need not enter your commentary.

Have we ever seen someone who craves power with such naked ambition? I don't think so. If they win, as soon as they get sworn, Kamala will be tiptoeing around the White House, sneaking up on Old Joe, and going "BOO!"

Oh, of course, but her little Al Haig moment just makes the whole process that the party has been through so transparent. The party leadership seems like it isn't concerned in the slightest with what most voting Democrats actually want. They just keep anointing people from on high.

USA political parties have a singular principle goal:  the accumulation and retention of political power.   Not sure where statesperson-like concern for the people ranks, but this is clearly not the driving goal of a political party in the USA.

It's obvious that Harris would like to be president - she sought the nomination and it's quite possible that Biden might not serve the full four years.

It's not a problem with Democrats. We are glad to have a VP chomping at the bit ready to serve.

Democrats are not personality based but platform based.

Any Democratic president will have to make a good faith effort at implementing the Democratic Platform. If they do not, they will not be supported by Democrats in the House and Senate nor by the Democratic voters.

So we are good with Biden or Harris or Yang or Duckworth (especially Duckworth), Mayor Pete or even Bernie.

BING! BING! DING! You get the prize.  The slip up that needed correction springs from Kamala Harris' running in the primaries and the debates where she spoke of herself as having an administration repetitively. It is a phrase 'easy' off her lips now.

Good divergent point, Adam!
