Critical Race Theory: A Spiritual Pox On America

Americans of every racial background who love and cherish this country must first recognize that the anti-white onslaught of the past year is actually not in any way about ethnicity. Rather, it is an attack on Western Civilization as the forbearer of America, and more specifically, the Judeo-Christian principles on which our Nation was founded. Many Americans of every ethnic background, who love this country and have thrived in it, are appalled at such flagrant bigotry and will have nothing to do with it. Conversely, a major portion of the venomous anti-white mob agitators are themselves white leftists.

This is how the left operates, and how it always has. The goal is to undermine and eventually destroy the moral/spiritual tenets of a great America, on the premise that those ideals were not always flawlessly undertaken and therefore must be discarded in their entirety, to be replaced with the “utopian” bliss of Godless socialism. It makes no difference that, by any standard, the nightmarish consequences of Marxist ideology (the real monster behind the veneer of socialism) have been the cause of vastly more suffering and death in every nation where they have taken root, than those things Americans failed to get right in the beginning. Nevertheless, the country needs “fixed,” and leftists are convinced they are the ones to do it.

For such an abhorrent transformation to take place in a nation, it must first abandon its ideological roots. And the recent leftist war to destroy every worthy vestige of America, on the basis that such things reflect “whiteness,” is just the latest incarnation of that effort. Over time, race mongering has proven itself to be a workable tool to divide, exploit, and manipulate. So it should be no surprise that leftists are reverting to it once again.

Of course many wrongs and injustices of the early days of the nation did need to be corrected. Though the founders could not reconcile their differences on the issue of slavery on a timely enough basis to deal with it while throwing off the yoke of British oppression, they were diligent to put the mechanisms in place to confront it, once American independence had been established. And the tide moved inexorably in that direction, from the moment America achieved control over its destiny. This was by no means an accident.

The Judeo-Christian principles undergirding America were fundamentally incompatible with slavery or any form of racial inequality, which is why those relics of our flawed, human past were eventually expunged from any legal standing. Once by war, and thereafter by a continued awakening of conscience leading to new laws, the equality of station, as free American citizens, was eventually achieved. Those who recognized the enhanced opportunities this presented to everyone rejoiced and seized upon the moment. Meanwhile, lurking in the shadows, the Marxist leftists bided their time and sought every occasion to stir up strife and sow discord.

As a nation, Americans had overwhelmingly abandoned institutionalized racism, and for several decades prior to the end of the last century, they had increasingly enjoyed the universal societal benefits of authentic equality. Sadly, with the ascension of Barack Obama in 2008, an event that many naively presumed to be a final milestone signaling a truly “color blind” America, racial discord suddenly and dramatically resurged. It has been steadily escalating ever since. This was entirely by design.

Still, during the Trump Presidency, blacks were enjoying the lowest unemployment rates in history, and the future looked bright for all who recognized the opportunity to “pursue happiness” and achieve success as a result of diligence and effort. Prospects for a leftist remake of the nation were bleak. Enter “Critical Race Theory,” an ideological concept of projected bigotry, painting America with a broad brush of accusation and presumption. America, we are told by CRT devotees, is inherently racist simply because America is overwhelmingly white.

Leftists cannot ply their sick/twisted ideology in a happy and prosperous society, given that the actual impact of their agenda is entirely negative. Hence, they must create the conditions of squalor, despair, and frustration from which people will look desperately to others for a “cure.” The nation has seen little else from leftist Democrats for a very long time.

Fake News minions tirelessly seek any pretext to pound the “systemic racism” mantra. Predictably, the leftist sewer of public “education” became a hotbed of indoctrination of the next generation. Children are daily being pummeled with every venomous lie from the left, to convince them that racism is an inescapable aspect of humanity, with some inevitably being victims, while others are inevitably guilty, not as a as a result of attitudes or actions, but all on account their skin color.

On this basis, the anti-social behavior of minority criminals is “justified,” since they are presumed victims of “systemic racism.” The only actual consequence of such twisted thinking is an increasingly aggravated state of racial discord, and an imputed “guilt” of any person or institution daring to criticize it. What those who accept this ideology do not seem to grasp is that such an outlook can only hamstring them and undermine any prospect they might have to improve their lot in life. It was therefore predictable that minority communities would be hardest hit by the escalating lawlessness of such jaded thinking. Certainly, those leftist activists stirring the cauldron are fully aware that this is an inescapable consequence. And that is precisely their goal.

It is most tragic that a venomous teaching of this nature has wormed its way into the Church. Worst of all, it is no longer confined only among those wayward denominations that decades ago discarded their Bibles to embrace the lies and perversions of the leftist counterculture. It has now gained a toehold even in some Churches that had previously enjoyed standing for good, Biblical teaching on Faith and Family in America. The pernicious “guilt by decree” of CRT was apparently too tempting for them to rightly discern and shun, despite its universally injurious effect on all who embrace it.

The leftist mantra and deliberately broad brush of “systemic racism” is an accusation looking relentlessly for any excuse to claim validity. And where none exists, it will create one. That is how “The Accuser” has always operated against humanity throughout history. We are told by Jesus, in the Gospel of Matthew, that “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.” An ideology that teaches one Christian to view another, not as a fellow human being created in the image of God, but as someone possessing inherent malice and enmity, based solely on physical character traits, is an ideology that promotes the very essence of bigotry and hate. As such it has no place in genuine God-fearing Christian circles, or anywhere among decent civilized people, for that matter.
Perhaps it took too many among us far too long to learn that lesson. Yet we cannot deny that we are better off for having learned it. Are we then going to let past lapses be sufficient reason “unlearn” it so quickly, and revert to the former state of reflexive suspicion and resentment? That is precisely where such a malignant path inevitably leads.

Spoken like true-blue some propagandists!  So you don't call us the N_ word outloud, but got a new catchphrase 'container' for us: "Leftist"? Socio-economic hatred of Others is classicism and we ain't having that demonization either! Racism and Classicism, its first cousin, are a disease and I invoke God as the cure for both!

Both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson , two of the faces on Mt Rushmore , at one point in their lives thought of freeing their slaves , but did not for financial reasons. They continued to rationalize slavery by saying it "wasn't time" yet.

Every time I read some history piece or another about America's past from that era I learn something new. For example a few days ago I read a piece about the end of the slave trade. Conservatives like to brag about the end of the slave trade. Well, when the date was set for the end of the slave trade, shrewd slave owners arranged to have their next shipments of slaves kept in filthy "holding pens" on a Charleston dock and kept from sale until after the banning of slaves from Africa created a shortage of new slaves for sale and jacked up the value of the ones held off the market. In the meantime thousands of them died in the holding pens from disease or starvation.  The slaveowners knew that many of these people were dying but concluded that the loss of those would be more than offset by the increased worth of the ones that survived.

Those are the type of facts the "1776 Commission" would never want us to know.

But the only way to know that until recently (1992)  was hire a black docent tour guide for a school trip to Charleston or a private tour.

It's just that much worse that the practice of slavery was protected by British & American law for so long until a civil war settles the legal issues but not the social ones.

Sad

Africans, African Americans, Native Americans, Irish, Asians, Eastern Europeans,

all subjected to mass murders, lynchings and government sanctioned oppression and discrimination.

It sullies who we were, not who we are now.

What sullies our reputation now is the hysteria surrounding teaching the truth about our past.

Which is strange considering our glorification of the Wild West, the Civil War and WWII.

The sickest part of this is they are doing the same idiotic bull patty all over again. Traumatizing Blacks, Browns, Women, LGBTQ, and Others. How so?

By telling us collective and to our faces that our respective histories in this country matter so insignificantly that we can't be trusted to understand it without the help of dominant White males!

How about that?!

It's sick.

The Anti-CRT Revolt: Banning a Racist Curriculum

img_2018.jpg?w=828https://sacredcowchips.files.wordpress.com/2021/06/img_2018.jpg?w=150 150w, 300w, 768w" sizes="(max-width: 828px) 100vw, 828px" >

Suddenly it’s dawned on many people of good faith that our educational, business, and other institutions have been commandeered by adherents to critical race theory (CRT), which teaches that all social interactions and outcomes must be viewed through the lens of racial identity and exploitation. In fact, it teaches that racism is endemic, whether conscious or unconscious, among people deemed to have privilege . They are labeled as oppressors, especially anyone with white skin. Furthermore, CRT holds that racism is systemic , and therefore the “system”, meaning all of our institutions and social arrangements, must be radically transformed. Some or all of these tenets are taught to our children in public and private schools, and they are embedded in anti-bias and diversity training delivered to employees of government, non-profits, and private companies.

Standing Up To It

It’s easy to see why many have come to view CRT as a racist philosophy in its own right. Teaching children that they are either “oppressors” or “victims” based on the color of their skin, is a deeply flawed and dangerous practice. The revelation of CRT’s cultural inroads has prompted an angry counter-revolution by parents who hope to purge CRT from the curricula in their children’s schools… schools that they PAY FOR as taxpayers. Many other fair-minded people are offended by the sweeping racism and identity politics inherent in CRT. And yet its proponents continue in attempts to gaslight the public. More on that below.

The groundswell of opposition to CRT is evident in explosive  meetings of school boards  across the country, as well as recent school board elections in which slates of candidates opposed to the teaching of CRT have been victorious (see  here here , and  here ).

In addition, we’ve seen a number of recent legislative or administrative initiatives at the state level. There are now, or recently have been,  efforts in 22 states  to ban or restrict the instruction of CRT. In some cases, institutions found to be in violation of the new laws are subject to deadlines to remedy the situation. Otherwise, funding dispersed by their state’s Department of Education may be cut by ten percent, for example….

Oh, so now "oppressor" and "victim" is a problem. But, it was not before?  And do tell me why is it okay to "oppress" and make "victims" out of liberals and "The Left"?

It's not  okay!  It's racist and negative class discrimination combined into one. And some conservatives are guilty of its sin and moral turpitude.

The Rhode Island mother who turned to public records law to learn what the school district was teaching her daughter is now a defendant in a lawsuit by the state and local teachers union.

The Rhode Island and South Kingstown chapters of the National Education Association sued Nicole Solas and the school district this week to stop the latter from releasing records sought by Solas, including curriculum and policies related to critical race theory, antiracism, gender theory and children's sexuality.

The chapters filed a motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and preliminary injunction Thursday, asking a Rhode Island Superior Court judge to personally review alleged personnel files sought by Solas to determine if their public interest outweighs the "personal privacy interests" of the teachers.

Among the records they fear will be released: teacher emails that "may or will contain discussions about critical race theory curriculum" that include names and personally identifiable information.

Thursday's motion pushes back on the assumption that the union wants to stop parents from learning what their children are taught.

"[T]he Union expresses no opinion" on requests for "copies of school curriculum," the chapters say, citing their own use of the Access to Public Records Act (APRA). But they warn that the district is "presently working on a response that contemplates the release of an additional 90,000 records " as soon as mid-August.

"Throwing down the gauntlet, are we? Game on," Solas tweeted Wednesday with a copy of the suit she was served. She also accused the district of turning over "private and confidential emails to the school" — her original request to the principal of her daughter's school — that showed up in the union's lawsuit.

When she received the motion for TRO and injunction Thursday, Solas asked if "teacher unions bullying moms [will] be an everyday thing now?"

Cornell University law professor William Jacobson, whose Legal Insurrection Foundation has filed similar public records requests to the South Kingstown School District, wrote Wednesday that the lawsuit "makes little sense on its face."

The district is "not shy about asserting exemptions," as evidenced by the hundreds of fully redacted pages it turned over to Jacobson's foundation, and there's no reason to believe the information that concerns the union qualifies as public records, he said.

"My initial take is that this smells collusive. South Kingstown doesn't want to produce records and the union is helping them out," Jacobson theorized. The district previously proposed suing Solas to stop her from filing requests — 200 through May — but backed down after an outcry.

Jacobson was baffled by the request for the judge to review documents in chambers. "Seriously? If that's the case, the Superior Court is going to have to hire more judges."

The suit emphasizes that Solas went on Fox News to draw "national attention to her dispute," prompting another public records binge by a different person, identified in Thursday's motion as Adam Hartman.

The 300-plus APRA requests, filed April through July, include improper queries for records related to the AFL-CIO, which includes NEA, and an employee shared by the NEA and union federation, it says.

The suit characterizes a request for "complaints against Robin Wildman," the chair of the School Commitee's secretive BIPOC Advisory Board , as a request for records of her "teacher discipline and performance" before she retired. Solas is also seeking "all disciplinary actions" against teachers.

The requests also asked for teachers' emails and communications between Wildman and Superintendent Linda Savastiano, who retired shortly after the outcry against the district threatening to sue Solas. Some are limited to narrow time windows, including Savastiano's emails starting May 17.

These could include the former superintendent's emails with NEA members that are not subject to public disclosure, according to the suit. It cited a 6,500-page document dump from the district last month, but not whether it included non-public records.

It warned against releasing "personal e-mails of NEA members that are unofficial private writings'' and using the APRA process "for abusive purposes or a fishing expedition." The union chapters also urged the judge against approving releases with redactions, which are "not always sufficient to safeguard privacy concerns."

Teachers who have engaged in discussions about critical race theory, if identified, "will be" subject to harassment by "national conservative groups opposed to critical race theory," the suit claims. (Before resigning, the chair of the district's School Committee said Solas was backed by a national "racist group," later identified as Parents Defending Education , which is led by two women of color.)

The Rhode Island NEA did not respond to a query from Just the News seeking its grounds for fearing the district will release non-public or improperly redacted records, an answer to Jacobson's collusion speculation, and the identity of "national conservative groups" and their alleged history of harassing NEA members….

Critical race theory is anti American.

Balderdash.  Do Jews place an emphasis on teaching their kids about the Holocaust?

It is an expression of contempt and hatred of everything that America is and ever was.

Absolutely corrupt sweeping generalization based in wrong emotions.

It is the complete dwelling upon and awfullizing of every mistake we ever made fixating upon it picking at the scab to ensure it and we can never heal while denying that any good ever happened here.

To quote an old Tonto joke, "Who is this "we" you speak of "masked man""?

Get over yourself already and stop taking this shit so seriously...and personally.

To CRT proponents the world would be a great place of only 1776 America and belief in God didn’t exist.

Assuming you meant "if", you still don't make any sense. No one is talking about the world or the existence (or not ) of God.

The America of 1776 was a great first step forward but the colonies were engaged in a war on land and sea with the British

as well as militias engaged in a minor civil war until 1783.  Six years of turmoil followed until we elected Washington.

And everyday life never lived up to the the words "all men are created equal", we are still chasing that lofty goal.

Yes, do you?

CRT is not a diversity and inclusion “training” but a practice of interrogating the role of race and racism in society that emerged in the legal academy and spread to other fields of scholarship. Crenshaw—who coined the term “CRT”—notes that CRT is not a noun, but a verb. It cannot be confined to a static and narrow definition but is considered to be an evolving and malleable practice. It critiques how the social construction of race and institutionalized racism perpetuate a racial caste system that relegates people of color to the bottom tiers. CRT also recognizes that race intersects with other identities, including sexuality, gender identity, and others. CRT recognizes that racism is not a bygone relic of the past. Instead, it acknowledges that the legacy of slavery, segregation, and the imposition of second-class citizenship on Black Americans and other people of color continue to permeate the social fabric of this nation.

_

Critical race theory is an academic concept that is more than 40 years old. The core idea is that race is a social construct, and that racism is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies.

The basic tenets of critical race theory, or CRT, emerged out of a framework for legal analysis in the late 1970s and early 1980s created by legal scholars Derrick Bell, Kimberlé Crenshaw, and Richard Delgado, among others.

A good example is when, in the 1930s, government officials literally drew lines around areas deemed poor financial risks, often explicitly due to the racial composition of inhabitants. Banks subsequently refused to offer mortgages to Black people in those areas.

Good reading.

MBFC is far more generous to the secular and the left in their biased ratings.  They rate 11 conservative sites questionable or worse for every liberal one.  Sites on the far left generally just get left bias while sites less far to the right are berated and attacked. MBFC is the definition of bias, hate, and bigotry against conservatives and conservative Christians.

MBFC is far more generous to the secular and the left in their biased ratings.

If that's true then consider the fact that the majority of their judgements are true.

They rate 11 conservative sites questionable or worse for every liberal one.

In fact there are more lib sites banned than con sites on MBFC.

Here is a chart from the League of Women Voters. 8 to 7, hardly 11 - 1.

800

Of course you will say LWV isn't a non partisan non profit, right?

And they happen to hold MBFC in pretty high regard...

Reliable Sources for Fact Checking | MyLO (lwv.org)

Sites on the far left generally just get left bias while sites less far to the right are berated and attacked.

I'm sorry but that's just your opinion - you seem to go out of your way to find the most offensive stuff on the web and then cry censorshit.  That's not my problem.

MBFC is the definition of bias, hate, and bigotry against conservatives and conservative Christians.

And there it is in a short concise manifesto, from the victim's POV.

Absolutely corrupt sweeping generalization based in wrong emotions.

we in the context of the article are we the people of the USA through out our history.

"Leftist" Christians now coming from you? Why am I not shocked and appalled?

Let you tell it (or make implication) there will be no "leftist" Christians in the Kingdom of Heaven. To which I only need to point out to your self-righteous . . . self. . . that Jesus surprised everybody throughout time and memorial when he absolved the thief on the cross and granted him entry by his authority into the 'pearly gates.'

Some conservatives go about making enemies out of good people, simply because it is in there hearts to be meddlesome. . .and loathsome.

And just in case you have not 'heard' it yet: Heaven is not God's 'petty' place. God is not some cheap 'thrill' for you to partner with.

Stop ALL government programs and let charities (churches) help people. Churches can and will do a better job on less money. Yes, churches can and will do a better job on less money. Additional benefit; connect people to churches where more than physical problems can and will be solved thus making the world a far better place.

These people are insane enough to believe that private charity can replace the government provided social safety net.

They want liberals who are not churchgoers (translation: Evangelical. Conservative. Straight-laced.) already to have the same structure in life as they do. See, it's easy!  /s

When liberals walk like them, talk like them, and mimic 'shifty' behaviors, then maybe- just maybe they will find liberals acceptable.

But, here is the good news - ready?  The human mind can only take so much outrage or pretentious outrage, before it shuts down and goes in search of calmer things. So this will happen (and it will be to some conservatives' advantage):  Y'all will find that the "hot button" issues ain't so 'burning' anymore. It is a phase that y'all will pass through and 'forcibly' be expelled out the other side! It is only a matter of how long it takes to occur! It will occur.
