China isn’t wasting any time seizing upon a U.S. Commander-in-Chief’s weakness and inability to lead. The Communist nation is making overtures towards taking aggressive action against the island nation of Taiwan, which China has long claimed is actually its territory.
The communist country is now mobilizing warships, attack submarines and jet fighters off the coast of Taiwan, while hitting the United States with aggressive new demands over the Pacific nation.
“The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on Tuesday launched joint live-fire assault drills in multiple locations near the island of Taiwan in response to recent collusion and provocations by the US and Taiwan secessionists,” the Chinese mouthpiece Global Times reported .
“The PLA Eastern Theater Command on Tuesday dispatched warships, anti-submarine warfare aircraft and fighter jets in surrounding maritime and aerial areas near the southwest and southeast of the island of Taiwan for military exercises including joint live-fire assaults, and also for testing the command troops’ integrated joint operation capabilities, Senior Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson of the command, announced on the same day,” the report continued.
China has also issued a warning to Taiwan, saying it should be “trembling” since the U.S. “won’t protect” the island from invasion. The CCP has also told Taiwan that it “can’t rely” on Biden in a crisis.
The Chinese military exercises off the coast of Taiwan accompany new demands that the U.S. stop official contacts, arms sales to, and military ties with Taiwan, DiscloseTV reported , citing the Chinese foreign ministry.
The CCP’s saber-rattling and potential takeover of Taiwan, would follow upon the the Chinese incursions into Hong Kong and the subsequent oppression of millions of once-free residents.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is back on vacation at Camp David following the collapse of Afghanistan and a mad scramble to evacuate thousands put in harm’s way by the ill-conceived military withdrawal. The Chinese have noted the U.S.’ lack of political will to fulfill its promises to its allies. China’s aggressive foreign policy posturing and military maneuvers suggest that it is more than ready to pounce.

I suppose the big difference is that our Asian allies are pretty tough and nowhere as likely to roll over. They have strong national identities that tribal Afghanistan lacks.
I expect that Australia, Japan, Israel, and the UK will defend Taiwan. I would expect that when China does try to invade Taiwan that they will have North Korea attack the south so they couldn’t help. I’m sure the other nations in the region will do what they can. I have no doubt that Taiwan and its people will resist with every fiber in their being such an attack. They now know the franchise, western freedoms, democracy and will not give that up with out an all out struggle. The vote, freedom, true capitalism, and democracy are the sworn enemies of Chinese communism.
You are TRYING to speculate that the US wont protect Taiwan, but the UK, Australia and Japan will. You are hilarious.
I’m not speculating anything about the USA. I hope to God that we do defend Taiwan and go to the mat with China in their self defense. I’m simply reporting Chinese threats and that they are energized by what we did in Afghanistan. I do expect that Japan will defend Taiwan even if no one else does.
I was just thinking that if Japan DID go to war with China, it would give China a chance to "pay back" Japan for what it did to its people during the Japanese invasion.
