Compared to Trump's first eight months, Biden looks completely unprepared for the presidency
President Trump was heavily criticized during his term — sometimes based on an irrational hatred for the man, but sometimes validly. Numerous leaks of sensitive information and a revolving-door Cabinet characterized that early period.

Having been in office for nearly half a century, Biden was supposed to return the national government to experience and competence. However, even with all of his experience, compared to Trump's first eight months, Biden looks completely unprepared for the presidency.

Load Error

Objectively, some of Trump's early mistakes could be attributed to the usual growing pains of a new president — perhaps even more so given Trump's lack of government experience. And this curve should also be applied to Biden. That said, Biden was also vice president for eight years. And for all of Trump's errors, Biden's has been arguably much worse. Alas, one would think his accession would have been much less sloppy. Things took such a turn for the worse with his bizarrely incompetent, panicked retreat from Afghanistan that Biden was forced to defend his record so far on Friday in an interview with NBC News' Peter Alexander. Alexander particularly focused on Biden's campaign message of unity and competence.

"What do you say to Americans who say that you have not delivered on that promise?" NBC News' Peter Alexander asked Biden.

As usual, Biden shifted blame to everyone but himself and took zero responsibility. He said he inherited a mess from Trump and said it would take him a year to deliver everything.

"Remember, I said it's going to take me a year to deliver everything I'm looking at here. That's number one," Biden said. "Number two, take a look at what I inherited when I came into office — when I came into office, the state of affairs, and where we were: We had 4 million people vaccinated. We had no plan. We had — I mean, I can go down the list."

If Biden did say it was going to take him a year, I can't find it. There does not appear to be any record of that. He certainly did not say it in his first speech as president-elect. He did not say it in his inauguration speech and he did not say it during his address commemorating the anniversary of the pandemic. And he did not say it before his first address to a joint session of Congress.

It seems all Biden has successfully done during his presidency is blame all of his failures on other people — quite the opposite of what he promised.

Biden's persistently inconsistent messaging on the COVID-19 pandemic has sown confusion. And for all the ballyhoo about trusting the science, Biden's science has been as reliable as iceberg watcher on the Titanic.

The disastrous exit of U.S. troops from Afghanistan empowered the Taliban and caused European leaders to doubt our reliability as an ally. The terrorist attack by ISIS-K, which led to the deaths of thirteen service members, put an exclamation point on the incompetent execution of the withdrawal. A government shutdown is potentially looming now, and Congress has been gridlocked over the infrastructure bill that was supposed to be a gimmee. Finally, the border is in complete chaos as an illegal immigrant surge has overwhelmed the Border Patrol.

Everywhere you look, the Biden administration is overwhelmed and incompetent. Its realities are vastly different from the promises of the campaign. He has failed to achieve even the lowest of expectations of his presidency, and people never had to say that about Trump.

People are frustrated that we have to wait so long to correct this mistake!

That's how the majority of Americans felt in 2017 and are now overjoyed not to have that monumental moron still in the white house. Now the whiny loser minority who voted for Trump continue to bitterly gnash their teeth and take issue with anything and everything Biden does or doesn't do. If Biden had broken the deal Trump had secured with the Taliban and extended our stay months or years these same angry Trump supporters would have claimed any violence or US deaths in Afghanistan after that was all Biden's fault for not following through on the withdrawal agreement. Of course when he does stick the the former Presidents negotiated withdrawal time line it's all Biden's fault for not delaying. Even though Biden has been deporting even more undocumented immigrants that Trump was they claim he's just "opened the borders" but when we see thousands getting rounded up by immigration officials on horse back he's now inhumane, and then when he says he'll investigate the incident and possibly hold those who didn't follow proper immigration protocol he's now soft on 'illegals' again. Joe Biden could be a fucking Genie and grant every American any wish and right wing conservatives would still be bitterly angry with him bitching about how they didn't get three wishes like the ancient tales said they should, and how if it had been Trump he would have granted unlimited wishes. You simply cannot reason with those who've intentionally stuffed their heads up a slimy populists ass, they only hear and see what their Dear Leaders colon wants them to.

You are wrong. We now have a moron of even more than monumental proportions.

Yes he did. Unfortunately it went out of the park behind the plate so all it counts for is a foul ball and another strike.

You are wrong.

Your singular opinion is noted. The majority of Americans disagree as do most of the sane people who ended up working for Trump and after getting to know him called him "a fucking moron", "dumb as shit", "an idiot", "an 11 year old child", " less a person than a collection of terrible traits", "an idiot surrounded by clowns" and "not only crazy, but stupid". Please do share a collection of people who know Joe Biden personally and what they have to say about him to compare if you want to back up your claim that Biden is a "moron of even more than monumental proportions". If you can't I can assume your opinion is just your own personal views likely based on right wing conservative media opinion that regularly throws stones while living in glass houses.

That's how the majority of Americans felt in 2017 and are now overjoyed not to have that monumental moron still in the white house.

And for 4 years you all stomped your feet, cried and carried out hoax after hoax desperately trying to justify an investigation that looks more and more to be illegal to result in a joke of an "impeachment" with nothing really to back it up.

Now the "monumental moron" in the white house who has a track record of being on the wrong side of every foreign policy has abandoned US Citizen in a hostile country that also resulted in the death of 13 US Service members, released thousands of unvetted "refugees" in our neighborhoods. Oh and lets not forget the possible Taliban members he brought to the US that are currently being investigated for assault on US Servicemembers at Fort Hood.

Lets also think about his crackhead kid whose laptop seems to be giving investigators more and more information into Bidens dealings with Russia (wonder where the collusion really was).  Hows that red flag provision in the NDAA?  You asshats actually think a veteran will abide without it getting ugly?

But sure lets continue to throw tantrums about the first President in a long time that actually worked for the US Citizens instead of shitting on them.  You claimed he was racist (unfounded naturally) but did more for Blacks and Hispanics than ANY democrats have in decades.  Unlike the last 2 democrat Presidents, Trump actually slowed illegal immigration despite democrat attempts to thwart it.  Even when Covid first come to the US, he attempted to shut down the borders like many other countries have, but again, Democrats and the left cried it was racist and blocked every attempt to protect the country.  He stood up to NATO and forced them to quit relying on the US for virtually everything.  Saving us millions.  Not to mention a far better economy than we are actually seeing right now, job market, housing market, military readiness and cooperation with allies around the world.

It's too bad we didn't have Navin's father to educate voters in 2020.

One of the first lessons would be: You don't vote for somebody who won't campaign or discuss issues.

Nor do you vote against someone on comportment.

Nor do you vote against someone on comportment.

That would indicate that you have concerns about the character of the person you are endorsing.

Just sayin'.

If the interviewer was just right, I'd tell her that of all the tremendous issues facing us - (the ones we have seen created in the past 8 months,) that voting against someone who happens to be an effective leader, because of his comportment is a bad way to vote!
