The Rise Of The Age Of Liberal Incivility

Are liberals just uncivilized people by nature, or are they raised that way? One can understand, and society has learned to deal with, the occasional rise of an Adolph Hitler, a Pol Pot, or a Joseph Stalin, but when an advanced nation like the United States, populated with educated, pleasant, decent, law-abiding people suddenly sees a rash of violent, dictatorial individuals from the party of the left, either in charge of a powerful political position or trying to get control of one, the law-abiding citizens can’t help but wonder what has happened to cause this disruption.

Our nation has seen presidents from the past who have tried to pack the Supreme Court, and we’ve seen a president literally pick a public fist fight with a journalist, but until Barack Obama’s administration we’ve never seen a president use the full prosecutorial power of the Department of Justice and the investigative powers of the FBI to undermine a political opponent, as was done to Donald Trump during and following the presidential election of 2016.

And then we learned that there were and still are numerous mini-Obamas populating many of our Democrat-controlled states and cities, as well as the federal government, by ignoring and specifically not enforcing immigrations laws; protecting and sheltering criminal aliens from arrest by the federal government; FBI agents giving a pass to a powerful Democrat who made national secrets available to our enemies via her unsecured email system; FBI investigators plotting to assure a Republican election defeat, or an impeachment if he should become president; a lengthy investigation of the president finds no proof of wrong-doing, but the investigation continues in the hope of finding some unrelated, minor offense that they can pin on him; a humiliated and corrupt FBI executive blames the president for his public exposure and his own illegal acts.

A the disruption reached its zenith when a Democrat governor actually spoke of “war” with the federal government as the Feds try to enforce criminal laws; leftists demonstrate, beat people and burn things when colleges book a conservative to speak to the students.

What did Obama put in the DC Water that has suddenly so-energized and enraged the political left that they are blatantly, openly and proudly breaking laws in their frustration at not getting the presidency in 2016? Is it a matter of assuming they are better than the un-liberal citizens who elected a Republican? Is it a matter of feeling entitled to power and control because they’re good, practicing liberals?

Society expects young men to fight as they grow older, but this phase passes when they reach maturity and they outgrow it. But the Democrat party is producing masses of mature men, and women, who are fighting literally and figuratively against the will of the people, as expressed in the last election, and are making our nation into a lawless dictatorship as they ignore laws and the constitution in their need and quest for power, and to get rid of a president who is outside the Washington swamp and is changing the way America does business, exactly as he promised to do if elected.

Why do liberals only now, after participating as adults and behaving properly in our government for over 200 years, suddenly become so insistent on controlling even the thoughts of the citizens as well as their actions? Barack Obama once said, in defense of his radical left policies, that “elections have consequences”, but there are no liberals I’ve seen lately who will accept the presidency of Donald Trump and work within it to achieve their goals. They have become bomb-throwers and instigators, and it needs to stop.   https://www.conservativedailynews.com/2018/04/the-rise-of-the-age-of-liberal-incivility/

There are a multitude of reasons that liberals, moderates, independents, and "apostate republicans" are fighting the Trump regime at every turn:

1.    He is a racist....... e.g. would not rent to people of color in NYC and had to be fined

2.    He is a cheat.......e.g. the number of lawsuits he has lost for non-payment of debt

3.    He is a Russian puppet....... e.g. the Mueller investigation

4.    He is a compulsive liar........e.g. the citation of over 2500 proven lies in 14 months

5.    He is an incompetent administrator.......e.g. the unprecedented turnover in the white house

6.    He is a vindictive sociopath......e.g. follow the tweets, follow DACA

7.    He has surrounded himself with felons.......e.g. # of guilty pleas in his own administration

8.    He is a part time president....... e.g. his continued involvement in Trump properties

9.    He conflates Nazis with legitimate protesters.......e.g. see Charlottesville

I'll leave more comments to others who are as versed in the evils of this administration as I am. You like to call it TDS, I like to call it "Waiting for the Inevitable Trial"

Two a day in my case...

Many people don't post two threads a week. I haven't created a thread for almost 2 weeks.

If you only post two threads a day why does it seem that almost one-half of the threads on the tracker were seeded by you?  Your strawman fallacy titles have become obvious and boring. If I explain what a strawman fallacy is and how to identify it would you promise to not commit that fallacy again?

You misrepresented someone's argument to make it easier to attack.

By exaggerating, misrepresenting, or just completely fabricating someone's argument, it's much easier to present your own position as being reasonable, but this kind of dishonesty serves to undermine honest rational debate.

Example: After Will said that we should put more money into health and education, Warren responded by saying that he was surprised that Will hates our country so much that he wants to leave it defenceless by cutting military spending.

This is a strawman explained in video form.

Greggy is whining about me, as are XX Jefferson and the other right wingers on this thread that are complaining about someone on "the other side".

The other day XX tried to claim that I post 10-12 anti conservative seeds a day. Anyone can look at my seeds and articles and see just how ridiculous that claim is.

Even when I do "attack" conservatives, my seeds are about something , most often about something specific. XX Jefferson has literally posted hundreds of seeds over the past 2 or 3 years that are nothing but very broad based attacks on "liberal" or "progressive" ideology. Many of them simply repeat general themes that his other hundreds of seeds have already covered ad nauseum.

"Conservative" opinion pieces are obsessed with liberal "ideology", far more so than liberal opinion pieces are with "conservative" ideology. Garbage like American Thinker is nothing but one of these broad based whines about liberals after another.

It is nice to see a number of people take all of XX's nonsense to task though.

"Are liberals just uncivilized people by nature, or are they raised that way?"

When did conservatives stop beating their wives?"

"we’ve never seen a president use the full prosecutorial power of the Department of Justice and the investigative powers of the FBI to undermine a political opponent, as was done to Donald Trump during and following the presidential election of 2016."

Now that's some pure conservative bull pucky. What "prosecutorial power" was used during the campaign or election? The fact Trumps campaign was under investigation wasn't even made public till after the election was over. It takes a real tight tin foil hat to believe the garbage coming from conservativedailynews.

"What did Obama put in the DC Water that has suddenly so-energized and enraged the political left that they are blatantly, openly and proudly breaking laws in their frustration at not getting the presidency in 2016?"

Obama didn't put anything in the water, the energy coming from the left is in response to watching a huge march of Trump supporters wielding tiki torches, waving swastikas and confederate flags wearing MAGA hats chanting "Jews will not replace us!".

"Why do liberals only now, after participating as adults and behaving properly in our government for over 200 years, suddenly become so insistent on controlling even the thoughts of the citizens as well as their actions?"

This author must have zero recollection of the last 60 years of American history where liberals and progressives fought for the civil rights and voting rights acts, did away with conservative bans on interracial marriage and gay marriage or when liberals stood up against an unjust war and were shot and killed at Kent State. The "uncivilized people" were the rabid warmongers pulling the trigger, the conservatives using dogs and fire hoses to keep minority children away from their "white" public schools, the conservatives beating blacks with sticks and clubs when they attempted to vote. And the only "lawless dictatorship" we see today is the attempt made by the trump administration to be above the law.

Donald Trump got 46% support on election day in Nov of '16, and , believe it or not that is his high water mark in popularity. He has not seen 46% in aggregate approval since.

Yet we are supposed to swallow the delusion that he has "the will of the people" behind him.

I think civility left the room several years ago. Both sides and the middle have always been largely uncivilized and with more and more forums/social media, etc. to vent, the hysteria is growing by leaps and bounds.

While it is disconcerting to me at times, the idea of free speech means just that... free. If it is not illegal, then it is therefore legal.

As for the idea of truth/facts... when was that ever a fixture in American politics? The only time politicians are telling the truth, is when they are dishing dirt on an opponent, with everything else a carefully constructed and massaged lie.
