More Treachery from the New York Times

More Treachery from the New York Times
“To date, DOD has no corroborating evidence to validate the recent allegations found in open-source reports. Regardless, we always take the safety and security of our forces in Afghanistan—and around the world—most seriously and therefore continuously adopt measures to prevent harm from potential threats,” Jonathan Hoffman, the chief Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement.

We the People

The New York Times recently claimed via unnamed sources that the President had been briefed by US officials in February about Russia's payment of bounties to Taliban linked militants to kill US troops in Afghanistan. The President immediately denied he was briefed on this information and the story has immediately gone to page 1 status, above the riots and the pandemic.

Late Monday the Department of Defense issued this statement:

“To date, DOD has no corroborating evidence to validate the recent allegations found in open-source reports. Regardless, we always take the safety and security of our forces in Afghanistan—and around the world—most seriously and therefore continuously adopt measures to prevent harm from potential threats,” Jonathan  Hoffman, the chief Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pentagon-says-no-corroborating-evidence-to-stand-up-nyt-report-on-russian-bounties

Robert O’Brien, the national security adviser, said in a statement that since the allegations in the report were not verified by the intelligence community, Trump has not been briefed on the matter.

The question here is not whether there has been unverified intelligence indicating that Russia had offered this blood money, it is whether the President was briefed about it. You see, that is the way the New York Times framed the story. The idea of Russia doing such a thing is reduced to being the bludgeon or hook, so to speak. The Times story was framed around Trump and as we have seen so often in the past 3 years with Times stories about Trump, it is most likely a blatant lie.

It is after all barely 4 months to the election.

Because we know that there are so many people who are willing to lie for Trump, or because they are afraid of Trump, and because Trump is a habitual and constant liar himself, I think it is likely we will never know if this story is true or to what extent it is true. Unless we have an Alexander Vindman type whistleblower. And after seeing the GOP stonewalling after Vindman came forward, such whistleblowers may now think it is not worth it.

You need to get your 'facts' straight Vic.

They didn't tear down a chain link fence.

They opened a gate.

They were indeed peaceful protesters.

XMdm9m whoever even posted a video on a seed, that I've since taken down, showing the protesters, going through an open gate, NOT TEARING DOWN A CHAIN LINK FENCE.

Can you find any of those photos post Crimea invasion? For a long time the US had been hoping Russia would adopt a democratic government and many Democrats and Republicans tried to work with them to further free and fair elections. Then Putin started assassinating journalists and political opponents, attacking and invading Ukraine, stuffing ballot boxes to ensure his own win and changed the Russian constitution to allow him to effectively remain leader for life, and on top of it all they hack State voter databases, hack US political party emails and weaponize them to make sure they get a say in who becomes the American President. Because of that Democrats and most Republicans backed off of trying to be so neighborly, but of course that's right when Trump started to cozy up to Putin. Now Putin is paying bounties on American soldiers because he has always been a vile piece of shit snake and only slimy treasonous Republicans who he aided in the 2016 election continue to give him any benefit of the doubt.

like they did with the Russia Collusion hoax. BIG DIFFERENCE!

Well, the facts showed, and still do, that Russia did in fact want Trump elected in 2016 and used government resources to help him win. They hacked 22 State voter databases, hacked private citizen emails and illegally released them in an effort to sabotage one of the US political parties, they spent $1.25 million a month on targeted media ads pretending to be domestic which reached up to 122 million Americans. None of that is a hoax, and that was what most media networks were reporting. The only thing that was never proved, likely because of all the liars Trump surrounded himself with, was proof of criminal conspiracy where Trump coordinated with the Russians or offered repayment for their timely illicit support. Personally, the fact that Putin desperately wanted Trump to win, and still does, is enough for me to oppose his nomination. Only sniveling treasonous pieces of shit would want to give Putin exactly what he wants instead of doing what's in the best interest of America and western democracy. I think the big difference is that I would enlist and take up arms to defend my fellow conservative Republicans if they were targeted and killed by Putin and his sick regime, whereas it seems that some Republicans would rather be Russians than Democrats so I don't see them standing up for their fellow citizens simply because they hate liberals, progressives and democrats more than they hate a vile dictator paying bounties on American soldiers lives.

Actually that is in dispute. There is growing evidence that John Brennan promoted that theory.

and used government resources to help him win.

It seems that Russia supported protests of both candidates. They did play upon our divisions.

They hacked 22 State voter databases, hacked private citizen emails and illegally released them in an effort to sabotage one of the US political parties, they spent $1.25 million a month on targeted media ads pretending to be domestic which reached up to 122 million Americans.

Why don't you document that, like I always have to? Did the FBI prove it? How about the CIA?

None of that is a hoax, and that was what most media networks were reporting.

Lol...They were "reporting" a good deal more than that!

The only thing that never proved, likely because of all the liars Trump surrounded himself with, was proof of criminal conspiracy where Trump coordinated with the Russians or offered repayment for their timely illicit support.

They ended up discrediting themselves for promoting that lie for 3 years. Now few believe them.

Then you are an amazing individual. Iv'e never known a progressive who wasn't soft and gushy on leftist authoritarian regimes. Thank you for the thought, but it's not Russia who just killed over 125,000 Americans.

As for the bounties you talk about - Please note that information is still being verified by the Intelligence agencies. As soon as they verify it, the President will be briefed. Hopefully whoever leaked what is classified information will be prosecuted.

Very well:

"The gun-toting couple drew their weapons on nearly 300 protesters in St Louis, Missouri, on Sunday who had demanded the resignation of the local mayor Lyda Krewson.

This is the chilling moment a married couple pull guns on protesters during a peaceful Black Lives Matter demonstration in the US

The pair brandished a handgun and an automatic weapon at the gathering which took place in St Louis, Missouri, on Sunday.

Reports say that around 300 people had broken down the entrance of a gated community and had attempted to march past when the confrontation took place.

The gun-toting couple, named locally as lawyers Mark and Patricia McCloskey, angrily warned protesters to stay away from their home in the wealthy, predominantly white neighbourhood of Forest Park.

One video circulating on social media shows the woman holding her gun at a protester wearing a 'Hands up, don't shoot' t-shirt."

Yes, isn't that odd?  They had two stories up yesterday discussing the Times claim as if it was a proven fact. We have all these officials denying it.

A senior Conservative MP is seeking an urgent question in the Commons on Monday about an alleged plot that a Russian intelligence unit offered Taliban-linked fighters bounties to kill coalition troops in Afghanistan.

British security officials have confirmed to Sky News that the reports about the plot are true.

Because they didn't tear down any fence, and they weren't congregating in a menacing fashion.  They were walking down the street to the DINO mayors'  McMansion who doxxed those people.

Then the nasty DINO bitch took down the video and apologized for being a nasty bitch.

Highlighting what's in a report doesn't mean anything.  I've seen a lot of video and saw no menacing, just people walking by the shyster couples McMansion.

BS, they didn't tear down any fence/gate nor did they congregate in a menacing fashion. They simply opened the gate and walked through.

Always trying what Vic, just pointing out the facts something that you don't seem to want to acknowledge.

A mob? I saw people walking down the street and a couple comes out of their home with weapons. No one was on their property or threatening them...

Where they trespassing, seem they were on a private street. So now we shoot people walking down a private street, brilliant.

Aren't you the tolerant one! Except on certain occasions! Just like when the Covington kids supposedly got up in the agitators face.

No one was on their property or threatening them...

You a tiny piece of film and your'e fine with everything the mob did?

Where they trespassing, seem they were on a private street.

NO THEY WERE NOT - THEY WERE IN A PRIVATE GATED COMMUNITY!
