Any Blues Fans Out There in NT Land?

I've been a Blues fan for most of my life and have a fairly extensive collection of Blues by many different artists. The entire collection of Robert Johnson is part of it.

Here is the Blues Band, Indigenous playing Red House followed by Skyler Wolf doing Devils Son.

Please add your favorite Blues artist, group, or song.

Grew up playing Motown and the blues on bass and guitar. My band played my own 8th grade graduation dance back in 67. Been in the music business off and on ever since. My favorite movie is The Commitments. Saw the band live and got a few kisses from Angeline Ball backstage at the Uptown Theater in KC (a high point in my life).

My power blues band backed up Muddy in Boulder back in the day.

He toured on the cheap; hiring  the best band in town as backup wherever he played.

I was more involved with Folk Music, and even if The Blues can be considered a form of Folk Music, it wasn't my genre.

I don't know much about this particular genre', but once I started listening, it was difficult to stop.  In addition, I have this insane urge to stay in bed all day and eat chocolate fudge frosting straight out of the can.  Is that normal?

If you're a Blues fan then yes it normal as are many other things considered a bit ''off''. That's the wonderful thing about the Blues.jrSmiley_4_smiley_image.png

My memory sucks!  How could I forget Billie?!  Every year driving to our summer cabin in Colorado, we listened to Billie Holiday.  In fact, it wasn't considered a vacay until we heard at least 1 track.

OHHHH that is good stuff. I had never seen it before. The great control BB King has over his voice to just pour a note out their like 'molasses.'  And the humor. This reminds me of growing up and walking past those 'holes-in-wall' with loud, blasting jukeboxes and liquor in the evenings. BB King was All The Way "LIVE."

Darn it that's good stuff! Loved the "No Angels" especially . . . and she is wearing heels! I don't usually comment on (women's) appearances unless they are stand-outs in a particular way. This lady gets it all done 'well'! I enjoyed this set immensely.
