Liberal group calls for protests at conservative Supreme Court justices' homes
Activist groups will send protesters to the homes of Supreme Court justices.

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

Left-wing activist groups are planning to send protesters to the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices following a leak indicating the court may soon overturn Roe v. Wade.

The activists are organizing under the moniker "Ruth Sent Us" and have published the supposed home addresses of Justices Amy Coney Barrett, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch.

"Our 6-3 extremist Supreme Court routinely issues rulings that hurt women, racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights," the group's website reads. "We must rise up to force accountability using a diversity of tactics."

Fox News is told there has been a strong police presence at the justices' homes following the leak. The group says they will visit the homes on May 11.

The D.C. Police Department has erected fencing around the Supreme Court building in anticipation of escalating protests this weekend. Police have also activated protest-response units through Sunday.

The move comes after a draft copy of Justice Samuel Alito's opinion upholding a Mississippi abortion law leaked to Politico. The decision would overturn Roe v. Wade if adopted by four other justices.

Chief Justice John Roberts described the leak as a "betrayal" of the court on Tuesday and ordered an investigation into the incident.

Republicans on Capitol Hill have also expressed outrage over the nearly unprecedented leak, while Democrats have sounded the alarms in defense of abortion.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell called for the leaker to be prosecuted, saying the move was a transparent attempt to subvert the court's ruling.

"Somebody, likely somebody inside the court itself, leaked a confidential brief to the press, to stir up a pressure campaign," McConnell, R-KY, said. "Whoever committed this lawless act knew exactly what it could bring about."

Oh, I see. You decided to defend the proposed harassment of justices by focusing on the picture I used?   I didn't specify Warren, I don't even know if she'll be part of the mob going out to harass the justices and their families, but she is part of the dangerous rhetoric.

Yes, those who want to take away women's rights to their own bodies and lives, are indeed thugs.

That means that the Biden Administration, CDC, and Democrat governors were also thugs, because that's what they did to women (doctors, nurses, first responders, teachers, many more) who didn't want to get the Covid vaccine even though they had valid medical and religious exemptions. Those women were fired from their jobs when they refused to comply with governmental overreach meant to control THEIR bodies and lives ... remember?

Anyone who's read the SCOTUS draft knows that it doesn't "take away women's rights to their own bodies and lives". All it does is return decisions to state legislatures. Women will still be able to get an abortion if they choose to get one.

Stupid bullshit and hypocrisy and ignorance is why these assholes didn't 'want to get a vaccine' when there are no valid religious exemptions.  Don't get a vaccine against a deadly pandemic as a teacher or nurse or first responder, lose your job.

In his decision Alito talked about how easy it has become for women to handle the situation of unwanted children.

federal and state laws ban discrimination on the basis of pregnancy, that leave for pregnancy and childbirth are now guaranteed by law in many cases, that the costs of medical care associated with pregnancy are covered by insurance or government assistance; that States have increasingly adopted "safe haven" laws, which generally allow women to drop off babies anonymously; and that a woman who puts her newborn up for adoption today has little reason to fear that the baby will not find a suitable home.

Is that sort of "decision" a function of the Supreme Court?

Is that sort of "decision" a function of the Supreme Court?

That probably depends largely on where a person believes life begins.  If you believe it begins at conception, it's definitely a SCOTUS function to protect those innocent lives.  If you believe it begins at birth, it's definitely not the place of the SCOTUS to abridge a woman's right to control her own body.

The thing many people don't like to talk about is that there are defensible arguments for both of those views.

What does any of that have to do with the Constitution?

Abortion falls into the vast swathe of issues that aren't directly addressed by the Constitution.  So the justices have to do the best they can to apply their understanding of the Constitution to the specific case at hand.

Liberal groups will whoop the gop in the midterms!

I'm not so sure.  If this happened in October, it would probably help them.

Americans are famous for our lack of attention span.

In middle school, I read that the Confederates claimed something like that in 1861! jrSmiley_9_smiley_image.gif

We're not the angry ones.  We see the desperation every day from the 'right'.  I mean look at the front page.  A lot of whining and pissing and moaning.

I got a kick out of the "we're not the angry ones" argument from the same poster who upvoted the "Two in three Americans are mad as hell" comment.

Can you imagine if Hillary had appointed 3 justices instead of Trump?  We conservatives would soon be on our way to re education camps /gulags or already there had their vision prevailed instead.

Doocy: "These activists posted a map with the home addresses of the Supreme Court justices. Is that the sort of thing this President wants?"

Psaki: "I think the President's view is that there is a lot of passion."

Biden and Psaki are detestable cowards afraid to stand up to the crazies who run the party.

Just say the leak was wrong. Say doxxing justices at putting them at risk is wrong.

They can still argue for legal abortion until birth until they are blue in the face.

"Liberal Group Calls For Protests At Conservative Supreme Court Justices' Homes"

IMO that's a brilliant way to make the justices harden their resolve and shove their decision down the liberals' throats.  Sure as hell I would if I were a judge.  It may also serve to turn Republican voters who would have voted against the candidates who supported that decision into deciding to vote them in for spite. "Stupid is as stupid does."  (Forrest Gump)
