Schumer says it out loud
'The only way we're going to have a great future is if we welcome and embrace immigrants… get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many there are here.'

New York's contribution to the US Senate, Chauck Schumer finally said what most progressives are thinking:

Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer made a fresh pitch for amnesty Wednesday when he claimed the U.S. is 'short of workers' so  Congress  needs to pass a 'path to citizenship' for 'however many undocumented there are here'.

'We're short of workers, we have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to,' the New York  Democrat  reasoned.

'The only way we're going to have a great future is if we welcome and embrace immigrants… get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many there are here.'

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11436431/Schumer-wants-amnesty-11-million-migrants.html

That comes on the heels of the 2022 midterm elections. We maybe talking about 30 Million illegal migrants living within the US. Are we really going to reward them for entering the country illegally?   Are we really going to put them in from of legal immigrants?  Are we really going to use them to disenfranchise citizen voters?

This should finally end the big lie about "the replacement conspiracy theory."

It's so bad (sarc) the average rent for two bedroom apartment in NYC is $5,200...

Sure some left during Covid, but people are returning here in droves more recently...

Rents are so low because nobody likes it.

Just like "Garbage Dump San Francisco"...

You want to brag that New Yorkers spend half their money on rent, go for it.

Seems stupid to me, but then again, I am not the one doing so.

BTFW, if you want to disparage red states or cities, shouldn't you at least find something that actually doesn't show that blue states are the overwhelming leaders in high rents?

2 out of 10 of the large cities are red, the rest are blue, go figure.

1 out of 10 of the medium cities are red, the rest are blue, go figure.

I make over $90K. Rent here on a 3 bed, 2 1/2 bath townhome here is about $2.2K depending on the neighborhood. I was renting a 4 bed 3 1/2 bath 2400 square foot townhome with a basement for $1,850 a month up until last spring. I bought it instead after renting for 5 years and payments with HOA bullshit is a little over $1,500. It appraised at $240K when purchased and is now appraised at $323K due to the boom in the area. I'm quite happy not renting. Especially in NYC.

Hey you know why some New Yorkers are so miserable? Because they realized the light at the end of the tunnel is New Jersey.

You claim I am being disingenuous by not including the entirety of your comment that I linked?

Here is your entire comment with the part I quoted in blue:

Sparty @1.1.46 ☞ Lol ..... In actuality i could probably buy and sell you several times over but like your claims here, that and a couple bucks might get you one of those fancy coffee drinks you probably prefer.  Now stop, you’re putting me to sleep.

So show me (show us all) how quoting only the blue part misrepresents you.

In the blue part you brag about your wealth claiming you could buy and sell JBB several times over.    And in 1.1.52 and 1.1.56 comments that I linked (but did not quote), you pile on.  Here are those comments in their entirety:

Sparty @1.1.52 ☞  Yeah, that’s why so many New Yorkers are moving here.  Because it’s worse than New York.  Get real.     I have a rental storage facility that’s full of Urbanites stuff who are trying to get here.    The only reason they aren’t here yet is because of a housing shortage.    Their buddies from NYC and other shitholes like Baltimore just beat them to the housing punch.   They snoozed and now their shit sits in my storage unit paying for my cigars, scotch and vacations.    I’d rent to you as well but sorry.    Already booked into 2024

Sparty @ 1.1.56 ☞ Your former city mates think so.    They beg for more space and I wish I had built more.  I probably pull in more per annum from that one investment than you total in a year .....oh wait .....my bad, I forget you are a millionaire.

How, exactly, have I misrepresented your arrogant, wealth-based snark against JBB?

You made the claim, now let's see you dance.

I’m not the one who claimed to be a millionaire.    That’s your obtuse rationalization from what I wrote.    In fact, my first comment that you took issue with clearly states the folly of such claims on the internet.

In actuality i could probably buy and sell you several times over but like your claims here, that and a couple bucks might get you one of those fancy coffee drinks you probably prefer.

Of course you skipped right over that as the person I was responding to continued with the childish insults and nonsense.   No comment from you on any of that.    That’s SOSDD considering.

Your problem is you believe in your own press too much.    That might impress your buddies in the mafia here but as I’ve told you many times.    You do not impress me in such matters.

I’m not the one who claimed to be a millionaire.

No, you are the one who arrogantly claimed he could buy and sell a millionaire several times over.

In reality, the liberal poster in question stated that he was a millionaire in explanation for how he could afford to live where he lives.   He then went on to state that he does not consider himself wealthy but rather comfortably retired.   By the way, to be comfortably retired nowadays it is not at all unusual to have a net worth in excess of $1M.   For many upper middle class professionals, to generate a consistent standard of living upon retirement, the nest egg needs to be multiple millions to have sufficient principal.

You arrogantly and repeatedly flaunted your forum-claimed wealth to ridicule a poster who stated his comfortably retired status with a net worth over $1M as an explanation for how he could afford his neighborhood.

With all of those hard working illegal immigrants in the country already how could we possibly have a labor shortage?

Isn't that the point that leftists continually make? That illegals keep their heads down; are hard working; and put back far more into the system than they take out? What happened? If we have that damn many illegals the US unemployment rate should be sky high- all those woke liberals hiding in their parents basements, grafting off mom and dad, and refusing to work should be SOL.

Democrats want to talk about instituting work VISA program. Where the VISA is set up as soon as the immigrant is employed; and ends as soon as they leave or lose their job starting a clock on a set period of time for them to leave the country- then all for it. The penalty for any employer hiring illegals and not apply for a work VISA for them needs to be stiff enough that no one will ever want to break it.

Also the southern border needs to be secured completely. None of this garbage that Democrats pulled on Reagan where he granted amnesty for illegals and the Democrats never produced the promised funding to secure the border.

Giving amnesty to all illegals does nothing to secure our country or stop the flow of illegals. It just proves to those that are in the process of the journey; or are thinking of coming; that if they flood the country again another amnesty will be issued.

Live and learn.

States such as California, Pennsylvania, and Michigan don't draw up districts by voters; they do it by population. Districting committees cannot take voter dispersal into account at all when drawing up districts. It is how Michigan went even more bat shit crazy leftist this election with Democrats taking the state House and Senate for the first time in years.

This is the same damn system Democrats tried to cram down all states throats with their unConstitutional attempt at nationalizing all elections.

Also, when deciding electoral college delegates it is done strictly by population calculated by the US Census. And since Democrats have forced immigrants (legal and illegal) to be counted on US Census (same as full US citizens); sanctuary states get more delegates.

This is where the finite resources are most evident, but it's been evident since long before Reagan granted 11 million illegal migrants legal status. You should be asking why won't CONGRESS pass enough funding to improve the enforcement and efficiency of immigration courts. Why won't they update and modernize the H1B1 worker laws? Blaming it all on the Dems isn't productive nor accurate.

I agree with your statement below that Democrat policies encourage people to come. Also when the Biden Admin came in and they had no plan to deal with them was a major blunder. It's called Adjustment of Status (AOS) and it can take upwards of 2 years for someone to get a green card OR be denied and have a deportation order. This is where the immigration courts MUST get Congress to act. It shouldn't take years to make determinations. IMO it shouldn't take longer than 90 days at most.

While you're at it, explain how Democratic policies don't encourage illegal aliens to come here.

Seen the goings on at the border lately ?

That has nothing to do with the originally proposed question unless you have something specific to add.

Heard about the Bussing Lately ?

There I would agree the Biden Admin should be arresting and charging bus drivers and pilots with trafficking.

Read about the Sanctuary City Complaints Lately ?

Doesn't apply. Cities are NOT compelled under the law to assist federal agents in their immigration duties. You may not like it, but they ARE NOT breaking any laws by not doing so.

Read about Governors complaints to the Administration on the need for actual enforcement of the border ?

I read about it. It sounds like where you get your partisan talking points. Have you read about the NG troops doing nothing on tax payers dimes. Some of those people have not gotten paid and lost jobs during this publicity stunt.

Read that Head border guy Magnus just resigned ?

He should - he screwed the pooch, but again what does it have to do with laws not being followed?

Read and or listened to Mayorkas Claiming the Border is shut down, but still see "Illegals" Streaming across ?

Do you have a specific point to make. As far as I'm concerned he should have followed Magnus' lead out the door for his sloppy job.

Did you actually understand the code's ?

Yes. Did you?

Do you actually read and or watch what's actually happening when it comes to "Illegals" invading this country ?

Do you actually read or watch anything outside your bubble when it comes to anything? Do you understand how complex these issues are? Do understand there are finite resources. They can only do so much people can do with what they are given and that's not on any one President. That's on Congress - on 40 years or more of Congressional apathy.

Just wondering.

You left out the part why fucking Democrats didn't fund closing the border like they were supposed to. Remember that is the Democrats part of the deal to get Reagan to grant those 11 million amnesty. Not surprised you left it out.

You should be asking why won't CONGRESS pass enough funding to improve the enforcement and efficiency of immigration courts.

Fuck that. Why haven't Democrats ever kept their promise to close the damn border.

Why won't they update and modernize the H1B1 worker laws?

Fuck that. Why haven't Democrats ever kept their promise to close the damn border.

Blaming it all on the Dems isn't productive nor accurate.

Get the Democrats to keep their damn promise to close the damn border and then we can discuss immigration reforms. No border closure, no damn immigration reform!

I agree with your statement below that Democrat policies encourage people to come. Also when the Biden Admin came in and they had no plan to deal with them was a major blunder. They continue to blunder with how they are handling it, but they are using the same laws that have been in place since before they took over. Both the right wing and the left wing are pissed on their handling for different reasons.

Brandon is not enforcing the immigration laws or our border.

Tell the Democrats to finally honor their promise and close the damn border. Until that happens they can go pound sand; and full House investigation into how Brandon and Mayorkas are not enforcing US immigration laws will be conducted.

Last I checked, Biden is in charge of enforcing laws as our Chief Executive.

He is doing a piss poor job of it.

Maybe Democrats should stop encouraging illegal to come here and start embracing enforcement instead of pushing policies that do nothing but encourage illegal entry.

Enforcing US immigration laws is Brandon's, Mayorkas', and Garland's jobs. Brandon doesn't give a fuck he wants as many illegals in the country as possible; Mayorkas is following Brandon's orders; and Garland is too busy being a Democrat boot licker going after Jan 6th rioters; parents that don't want their kids taught Democrat dogma in public schools; and now finally Trump.

Why don't you ask those fuck sticks why they aren't doing their damn jobs?

If the jobs dry up, so does the influx.

Really?

With all the free shit and promise of US Citizenship that Democrats are promising; why would the flow of illegals ever stop? It is not like Democrats are supporting funding to remove even illegals that are committed of a crime.

From this very article Schumer wants all illegal immigrants granted amnesty. Why the hell would they ever stop coming! Democrats are ringing the dinner bell loud and clear!

This is one of the reasons why we are seeing record number of encounters on our border---dumb Democratic policies like amnesty.

The vast majority of these "record number of encounters" are migrants being apprehended by, or turning themselves into law enforcement.  I would like to see laws with real teeth and jail time to prevent employers from hiring undocumented migrants.  No jobs, no migrants.  It's as simple as that.

Punish those who employ illegal aliens, and when you find them working, deport the illegals.

Not really all that complicated.

But I do find it interesting that many people who blame employers are willing to look the other way when it comes to Democratic policies that encourage illegal immigrants to come here. Policies like declaring themselves sanctuaries for lawbreakers, refusal to work with federal authorities regarding illegal aliens, free healthcare for illegal aliens paid for by US taxpayers, calls for the abolishment of the Border Patrol, and amnesty.

Somehow employers are responsible and these whacked-out policies aren't.

Got it--though it doesn't make a lick of sense.

Schumer is throwing out a hot button issue deliberately intended to divide the country.  Schumer certainly isn't serious about immigration reform or even a pathway to citizenship.  If voters are fighting each other then less attention is paid to deadwood Democrats in elected office.

If Democrats were really serious about all these hot button issues they whine about then why don't they do something when Democrats control Congress and the White House?  Why do Democrats wait until they lose control of one or both chambers of Congress or the White House to raise these issues?

get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many there are here.

No one who enters this country illegally as an adult should have a path to citizenship. I don’t care if they have been here for 40 years. They don’t get to be citizens unless they leave the country and enter with permission.

If you want to give them some kind of status that can be revoked for bad behavior - akin to a green card, but not as strong (those people entered legally) - we can have that conversation. But not citizenship. Never.

Dreamers (i.e. people who entered illegally as kids) could be given similar status with an actual path to citizenship. All they have to do is not break the laws and eventually they could be citizens.

Any scenario that basically puts illegal aliens in line for citizenship in front of legal guests or lawful permanent residents of the United States is bullshit.

Water shortages in the west don't give them a clue.  We have more people than there is water for already, but they want to let more in

Water is the next fossil fuel.    We will see wars fought over it.    Maybe not in our lifetimes but it’s coming.

No doubt about it.

Desalination will eventually be perfected to use less energy and to make effective use (and disposal) of the byproducts.    Accessible fresh water is what is scarce, we have an over abundance of 'salt' water.

Yep, right around the time the perpetual energy machine is invented.

Perpetual motion (/energy) is impossible.   Desalination is demonstrably possible (it exists in production worldwide, do some reading) but not yet at the scale we need.   If something already exists, it typically is a matter of time before it is made practical at higher scales.

Amazing you do not understand this.

Given you probably will not do any research:

One of these days I’ll explain the concept of “hyperbole” to you.    In the meantime you’ll just have to muddle your way through it like usual.

I doubt “your” real understanding of the geographical, technical and financial realties of Desalination would pass much serious scrutiny.   Perhaps you have a buddy in the mafia that will help that but in the meantime you’ll just have to keep internet bullshitting your way through it.

I know you will.

I see you did not respond to my link but rather continued with your witless bullshit.

You equated a future achievement of practical desalination with the impossible perpetual motion (/energy).  In effect stating that practical desalination is impossible.

I provided a link showing worldwide usage of desalination in effect today with 300 million people benefiting from it.    It exists today.   In technology, if we have that level of extant usage and we have a need to expand the scope (and we do ... you even stated the growing future need for fresh water), we typically evolve the technology to do so.

You are ignoring history and ignoring existing, working technology worldwide.

Your position is stupid.
