One of the most sickening things you'll ever see in your life

One of the most sickening things you'll ever see in your life.

Specifically, the first 5 minutes or so of Trump's recent rally in Dayton, Ohio.

Mind you, there's no shortage of sick in the rest of it, but the first 5 minutes are utterly vomitous.

Summary of the sick:

1) The playing of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The USA" while Trump makes his way from plane to podium. Reflect on the lyrics for a moment, and then on the fact that they're being played for a treasonous, oath-breaking tyrant.

2) "Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the horribly and unfairly treated January 6th hostages."

3) The national anthem, as sung by several convicted-in-courts-of-law January 6th criminals.

4) Trump saluting while the traitors sing.

5) Trump's spoken Pledge of Allegiance interspersed throughout the traitors' singing. Especially the part "and to the Republic for which it stands," coming from the guy who tried to end the Republic and take power unconstitutionally after losing an election.

6) The J6 traitors chanting "USA, USA, USA," after finishing the anthem.

7) Trump taking the lectern and referring to them as "hostages who have been treated terribly and very unfairly," calling them "unbelievable patriots" while promising to "work on that" on day 1.

8) The people in attendance cheering for all of it.

Adapting Shakespeare's phrase (which also applies here) "What fools these mortals be" to: What ignoramuses these MAGAts are.  I do hope they don't cause the "fall of the American republic" while Trump fiddles in the background.

Adapting Shakespeare's phrase (which also applies here) "What fools these mortals be"

I often think of the Latin phrase "iacta alea est," meaning "the die is cast," which Suetonius claimed Julius Caesar declared upon crossing the Rubicon to march on Rome. Trump crossed his own Rubicon when he decided to try to stay in power after losing the last election. But having thus far suffered no consequences for that, his die hasn't yet come to rest, and the outcome is still unknown.

Another phrase I'm thinking of more and more lately is that old Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times."

Another disgusting moment brought to you by Donald J. Trump.

And yet more evidence that Trump cannot be trusted to protect and maintain the republic, and should never be given power again.

That "hostages" thing is simply irredeemable for a person seeking an office expressly instructed by the Constitution to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed."

I don't know what road we're going down as a country now, but considering the level of support he apparently still has, it might be a dark one indeed.

I never thought I would see anything like this.

Manufacturing outrage for profit. Propaganda and misinformation masquerading as news has been a gold mine for right wing media, even with massive payouts for knowingly spreading lies like Fox's almost $800,000,000 settlement in the Dominion case.

For a genuine example of an immigrant harming the country, a fetish for the right these days, look no further than the tabloid king himself, Rupert Murdoch.

At some point, even cultists recognize ("snap out of it) that a grifter will grift even those s/he professes to love. It's basic grifter nature. HE molested?

Love claimed that one of the first times she had oral sex was with Ted Nugent. Sounding scarred by the event, Love initially maintained that she couldn’t remember how old she was at the time, before confessing that she was 12 and a half years old when she performed oral sex on Nugent backstage at a show. Adding to this, Love claimed at the time she hadn’t even developed breasts. Interestingly though,   Love   appeared on  The Howard Stern Show  again in 2013 and corrected herself. She said that she was actually 14 when it allegedly happened, claiming that there was a line of young girls waiting to engage in sexual acts with Nugent. The Hole singer recalled that she was wearing a yellow tube top and “shouldn’t have been there”.
