LIEbrals will say anything ?

STUPID COMMENT.jpg

Funny thing....this shithole comment making the rounds....as if it's a new word no one ever heard or has ever said about others.

OMG though. It came from a leader of a country ?

Well, the LIEbral mantra about this issue, seems to not be the case, as noted by every LIEbral MSM known to man.

According to CNN's Jake Tapper.....most of what has been said about Trump, DOESN'T SEEM TRUE.

Imagine that.

Now we all know that CNN hasn't been very truthful in ALL their reporting on Trump, but as to what is noted below, are they telling the truth THIS TIME ?

YOU DECIDE !

http://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-haiti-shithole-poor-779571

President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday that, contrary to the breathless reporting of the night before, he never called Haiti a "shithole," but instead said that "Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country."

"Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country," Trump tweeted.

The original comment was reported to have come as lawmakers joined the president in the Oval Office on Thursday for a bipartisan discussion on protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and several African countries, The Washington Post reported.

But one of the Democrats at the meeting, Senator Dick Durbin, pushed back on Trump's denial.
"It's not true," Durbin reportedly said. "He said those hateful things, and he said them repeatedly."

CNN's Jake Tapper also reported fresh information about the Thursday night exchange, supporting Trump's claim that he didn't call Haiti a "shithole, " but that he instead reserved the slur for African countries.

"The president did not refer to Haiti as a 'shithole' country," Tapper said, citing a "source familiar with the meeting."
"Though he DID say it about countries in Africa," Tapper added.

T apper said Trump's "take them out" remark referred to taking them out of a potential bill that would offer temporary protected status to certain immigrants.

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus had requested that several African countries be included in the immigration deal, according to a White House official speaking on condition of anonymity, the Post reported.

"[I]n a separate part of the conversation when they were referencing the diversity visa lottery, President Trump referred to people coming from Africa as coming from 'shithole countries ,'" Tapper reported.

Total BS. Jake said the comment about Haiti may not have been correct, however he went on to state "he DID say it about countries in Africa," Tapper added.

So most of what is being reported IS true, but you choose to focus on the one part that MAY not have been true according to some sources. Did Trump call African countries "shitholes"? YES! That is the main part of the story, and Haiti was being discussed just before his disparaging comments. Nice attempt to spin the conversation to "lying MSM" while completely ignoring the reality that we have an irresponsible incompetent vulgar narcissist insulting our allies.

Actually it IS. You can spin it any way you want to, but Clapper's twitter feed makes it clear that he reported that MOST of what has been said about Trump [up until that moment], IS  TRUE.

Of course, instead of  sycophancy, one could read the entirety of Clapper's twitter thread [note that the tweet in the 'article' has a 1/ @ the end] and one would understand the ENTIRETY of what Clapper reported, instead of the truncated version 'newsweek' wants you to see. They and others love those who are willfully misinformed.

So I presume now, Clapper will have lost his luster in minds of those whose only desire is to lead lemmings off the cliff.

BTW, sad to see so many lemming lining up to follow.

He knew, or at least his handlers knew, that tens of thousands of white supremacists voted for him, and he barely managed to win the electoral college vote while losing the popular vote by several million. He knows he can't reject their support so he dog whistles to them every chance he gets.

"I would recommend you take a good look in the mirror & remember it was White Americans who put you in the presidency, not radical leftists" - David Duke

“We are determined to take our country back,” Duke said from the Charlottesville rally, calling it a “turning point.” “We are going to fulfill the promises of Donald Trump. That’s what we believed in. That’s why we voted for Donald Trump, because he said he’s going to take our country back."

The word "shithole" -- which President Donald Trump allegedly used to describe countries from which he does not want immigrants coming to the US -- has been projected along with other messages onto his Washington hotel.

Trump is said to have made the remarks -- which he has denied but which a US Senator who was present confirmed -- at a meeting with legislators, setting off a firestorm of criticism when they became public.

"NOT A DC RESIDENT? NEED A PLACE TO STAY? TRY OUR SHITHOLE. THIS PLACE IS A SHITHOLE," read successive messages projected over the entrance of the Trump International Hotel in central Washington, according to a video posted on social media.

A flood of grinning feces emojis then stream out of the hotel's entrance as "SHITHOLE" appears in larger text above it.

Another clip shows the word "SHITHOLE" over the entrance along with an arrow pointing to the door.

The videos were posted on the Twitter account of Robin Bell, who has staged other projection protests and been likened to a "hit-and-run editorial writer" by The Washington Post.

It’s all relative.  I think I’m living like a king, but I guarantee you Trump would call my castle a shithole.  Arabian sheiks would consider Trump Tower a shithole.  There are people in undeveloped countries who would consider a home with a thatch roof to be a shithole, just because their one room hut has a tin roof.  The difference is that only Trump is stupid enough to open his mouth and say out loud what most people would keep in their thoughts.

Remember when Trump called the White House a shithole?  It happened right when he moved into it, but I can’t even find the articles about that incident anymore because a search that mentions White House and shithole returns hundreds of hits about his current shithole statement.  It’s a case of Trump’s new nastiness ‘trumping’ his old nastiness.  He is nothing but a nasty piece of shit.

I don't recall whether or not he called the White House a shithole or some other derogatory less than suitable for him adjective.

I lean towards the latter. He definitely complained, as with any should have been surprised.

The selective memories people have just amaze me.

Have you never seen Trump insult a white person? Where are you getting this notion that he's doing favors for white people only and wants to screw over or disrespect only brown people?

Here is a list of  The 424 People, Places and Things Donald Trump Has Insulted on Twitter as compiled - and updated regularly - by the New York Times.

The vast majority of the people listed are white. It is damned poor evidence to show Trump disrespecting someone of color as proof that he's racist. He is an equal opportunity offender.

We Now have a Overloaded Welfare system for one thing

If we can get over the whining about Trump and his dirty-word-of-the-day, it's definitely something that people in government should be discussing. The immigration policy of any country should be designed in such a way so as to bestow maximum benefit on that country (not some other country).

But one of the Democrats at the meeting, Senator Dick Durbin, pushed back on Trump's denial.
"It's not true," Durbin reportedly said. "He said those hateful things, and he said them repeatedly."

WTF is wrong with Dick Durbin? Is it really the most important thing he needs to do for our country that he has to tattle on Trump to the media? I thought he was supposed to be solving the big problems facing our country - not getting Donny into Detention.

Trump has to be like, "Note to self: No more "private" meetings with Durbin. The little prick can't be trusted keep a private conversation private." A couple of months from now, Tattling Dicky will be complaining "The president never invites me to meetings at the White House and there's no reason for it."

Try to keep up. This wasn't about a lie. This was about a point of view, expressed candidly, if crudely, but for the purpose of determining the course of important public policy. It was expressed with such candor because it was supposed to be a private meeting. You may find it vulgar or offensive, but at least it was honest. Dick Durbin obviously missed the whole effing point. He obviously doesn't give a shit about solving the problem and just wanted score some political points by throwing dirt on the president. First, it wasn't a private meeting.  Second, the lie is the current attempt to make this something, anything, that isn't racism, but it is.  You can't redefine the man, its not like he keeps he private thoughts private.  We've got quite the reference material to know what he means.  And what he said was RACIST CANDOR.  You all don't get to define what we are supposed to think about what he says!  And the flaccid denials are obvious attempts to gaslight what the entire world knows.

The whole point of this meeting was to seriously and candidly discuss important public policy. The way Durbin leapt at the chance to throw mud on Trump, he obviously isn't interested in that.

What's more important? Solving this problem or getting everyone to be outraged at something Trump said? Durbin's sabotage shows what he cares about. What do you care about?

Well since Graham released a statement that said as much, no revelation there.

Weasels like Durbin run to the press and whine.

Durbin wasn't the first to tell the press. He confirmed the report.

The whole point of this meeting was to seriously and candidly discuss important public policy.

Then it seems that Trump is incapable of being candid without exposing his racism.

The way Durbin leapt at the chance to throw mud on Trump, he obviously isn't interested in that.

After being sandbagged by Trump by including 4 MORE Republicans who had NOTHING to do with the proposal, I'm surprised he didn't walk.

For the millionth time: It's not racist to describe much of Africa as a "shithole." It's just not! It's accurate.

And I'm not interested in protecting him at all. I'm interested in having honest conversations and addressing real problems. Private meetings have been held in the White House for over two centuries and in MANY of those meetings, a president or someone else has used crude language to negatively assess a person or a place.

A freaking adult understands that these conversations happen as part of governing. Only a petulant child runs out of these meetings and straight to the press to whine about someone's salty language.

Let me make something clear. Let this sink in: I actually DISAGREE with the president and his concerns on this issue. I think his talk of merit-based immigration policy reflects an ignorance of current policy and an unrealistic perspective on immigration generally. It is the thought behind his comment that should be addressed, but it's not about racism. All this racism accusation bullshit does is shut down honest conversation.

Apparently he didn’t learn anything from his “locker room banter” experience.

I guarantee you plenty of other people around the president - including Tattling Dick Durbin - say crude and offensive things all the time. Just look at the sexual harassment thing. People are ready to believe a bigwig like Harvey Weinstein is guilty of being a creep, but Al Franken? Tavis Smiley? Garrison Keiler? Really?

Yeah, maybe. Maybe so. So, don't get the idea that Trump is the only pig in Washington.

The lottery

I'm honestly curious why he's so concerned about the lottery. With respect to Africa, that continent actually sends relatively few new immigrants to America . And if he wants to import more doctors and engineers, they'll just be competing for jobs with American citizens who have invested a lot of time and money in their education. I'm not sure how that's an improvement.

Did the planet spin off its axis when Joe Biden said only those with an Indian accent can enter a Seven-Eleven or when President Obama described Libya as a s*** show or when Hillary Clinton called millions of Americans deplorable or when Lindsey Graham called Mexico a hell hole or when former President Obama, just the other day, said Fox News viewers are on another planet when it comes to facts, implying they are ignorant of the real facts provided by the mainstream media?

Democrats don't find it offensive to refer to members of the military as war criminals, law enforcement officers as racists and border agents as the Gestapo, and the media didn't bat an eye when Democrats defended a college student who used "F*** you, Bush" as a headline in the college newspaper, so why all the outrage about calling dysfunctional and corrupt countries who abuse their own citizens s***holes? And the answer is: In addition to trying to gain the advantage in DACA negotiations, Democrats and their media partners want to distract us from what they know is coming, i.e., evidence that members of the Obama administration abused their authority to spy on Donald Trump and his campaign and, after he was elected, used unsubstantiated information provided by the DNC and Clinton campaign to undermine his presidency. Move over, Watergate.

It is the thought behind his comment that should be addressed, but it's not about racism.

Yet that was how both Graham and Durbin interpreted it. What's notable, is that there is no claim by anyone at the meeting that there was another interpretation of the 'thought behind his comment'. Graham stated that he basically called Trump on his comment yet not one of Trump's minions stated during the Sunday shows or in the Congressional hearing that Trump chimed in something like, 'No Lindsey, you misunderstand me, this is why I don't want immigrants from those countries in Africa that you mentioned...'

That being said, I agree that it's the thought behind his comment that should be addressed, I'm just doubtful that it can be separated from Trump's elitism whether it includes racism or not.

All this racism accusation bullshit does is shut down honest conversation.

So just for discussions sake, tell me about this alternative interpretation of Trump's comment.

One other thing. There have been multiple reports from multiple outlets that Trump hit the phones and was bragging to his buddies that all of this would be great with his base. Now, if as you say, Trump's 'policy reflects an ignorance of current policy and an unrealistic perspective on immigration generally' his base sure as hell have no freaking clue about it. So, if not for the racist angle, why does Trump think this will play well to his base?

He's a serial liar who has no conscious whatsoever. He will say anything, and take any position necessary to advance himself, including comparing American troops to Nazis.

He's also a history of lying about things said in Presidential meetings. He got falsely claiming a Republican told Obama "he couldn't even stand to look at him," a few years ago.

It happened in 2013. Here:  'I cannot even stand to look at you'

The No. 2 Democrat in the Senate, Sen. Dick Durbin, said in a Facebook post that a House Republican leader told off President Barack Obama during a negotiation meeting, and that GOP leaders are so disrespectful it’s practically impossible to have a conversation with them.

But Wednesday afternoon, both the White House and House speaker’s office denied his claims.

. . .

Sen. Durbin’s office had no comment on the post and offered no further details.

So yeah, he kind of does have a history of (apparently) lying about what Republicans say in White House meetings.

The White House's credibility would be especially strong in this case because they were declaring something against their political self-interest and against the interests of a political ally.
