Andrew McCabe Confirms: Deep State Plotted To Take Down Trump

Andrew McCabe: In pushing his new book, former FBI acting Director Andrew McCabe dropped a bombshell on CBS News. The Justice Department held meetings to consider removing President Trump from office under the 25th Amendment, after Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey for lying. If that doesn't convince you there's a Deep State, perhaps nothing will.
We have maintained since early 2017 (see here, here, here, here, and here) that the supposed "Russia-Trump collusion" was in fact engineered by the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton campaign working with Deep State officials and bureaucrats who hoped for advancement and perhaps even posts in the coming Hillary Clinton administration.
They wouldn't, of course, have to worry about rules, the law or moral propriety, since Clinton once in office would no doubt squelch any unwanted investigations.
"There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment," said CBS News' Scott Pelley, who interviewed McCabe.
And McCabe admits he began the obstruction of justice investigation against Trump, despite having virtually no evidence.
Andrew McCabe: Hobbling Trump
"The most illuminating and surprising thing in the interview to me were these eight days in May (2017) when all of these things were happening behind the scenes that the American people really didn't know about," Pelley said
Yes, and those eight days culminated in the appointment of Robert Mueller as "special prosecutor."
That ensured that no matter what happened to James Comey, Andrew McCabe or any of the others, Trump's presidency would be hobbled from the very beginning by an unjustified investigation.
This is nothing less than an attempted silent coup against a sitting president. The machinations of the FBI, CIA and Justice Department plainly indicate a conspiracy. A crime against the Constitution and the people of the U.S.
A large cast of characters ranging from presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, CIA Director John Brennan, current deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, senior Justice Department Official Bruce Ohr and his wife and sometime CIA asset, Nellie Ohr, FBI Director James Comey, FBI attorney Lisa Page, FBI official Peter Strzok, and, of course, Andrew McCabe, took part.
Deep State's Anti-Trump Collusion
They all worked together to undermine Trump using what they knew was an unreliable "dossier" based on hearsay from questionable foreign sources andpaid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee. Discussions of removing a legitimate American president under the 25th Amendment shows their desperation after Trump's surprising 2016 victory.
Together, they decided that democracy was too important to be left to the people, and Trump's removal had to be stage-managed instead by them from behind the scenes.
And they lied about it. Or kept quiet about it. Or misrepresented what they did, even to the Foreign Intelligence Security Court. That is real obstruction of justice. And a real conspiracy.
Remember, the extraordinary events related by Andrew McCabe happened just months into Trump's time in office. And Comey's own perfidy took place just as Trump entered office.
This wasn't because they had evidence of a crime.
A Silent Coup?
Inside-the-Beltway elites fought to subvert the presidency of someone they, not the rest of America, deemed unfit for the presidency.
The more we learn, the more tenuous the evidence seems. And the more devious and partisan the major Deep State players seem. Is it possible the Mueller investigation has something of which no one is aware? Sure. But he hasn't shown anything yet. Nor has he even hinted he has something.
And if, indeed, he doesn't, the legal scrutiny should turn away from Trump to those who, from the apparent safety of their taxpayer-funded Deep State offices, planned to take down a president they didn't like.

it was hilarious listening to the trumpster heads exploding on rightwing radio yesterday. claims of treason and sedition, with threats of civil war if their POS demigod is legally removed from power. seems [Deleted] and thumpers hate the Constitution. the deep state isn't a movement as much as the ultimate destination for unamerican rightwing radical scum.
threats of civil war if their POS demigod is legally removed from power
These same morons would have been perfectly fine with removing Obama from office for using the wrong fork.
[Removed]
the new AG will be way too busy obstructing justice within the DOJ trying to save the ass of his POS boss for the next 18 months
Actually Trump has 71 more months in office as our President.
with his healthy lifestyle, work ethic, twitter raging, and the nonstop offensives mounted by a deep state congress, I seriously doubt his political calendar goes out that far.
I can't even make a deep state joke for fear of it being deleted.
He hasn't been re-elected yet. What's that saying about counting your chickens before they're hatched?
And Trump did?
I have never questioned your devotion to fascism no matter what name you go under.
And wearing a brown suit.
The entire article is a bunch of lies and misrepresentations which is usual for a rag like the investor.
Axis Annie, Tokyo Rose and Joseph Goebbels would just love this kinda stuff...
They all would have loved Obama and his deep state players.
You nor anyone in those circles cannot identify the "Deep State"
It's another name for "them", "the boogeyman" ...in other words people that disagree with an ideology.
Let us know when the facts arrive about the Deep State.
The forces of denial of the deep state of strong in this one....
No, but it does show how gullible one can be to name "The Deep State" as some boogeyman and you cannot identify them.
Which tells me the person making that claim is a follower and unwilling or unable to define what and who "The Deep State" is because they are being fed this and have no facts of their own.

trump is not a threat to our country.
but it is true that trump is a real threat to globalism and globalists.
begin sarcasm here....
so what your saying is...
trumps admin can legally protect us from the existential threat of any democrat elected after his second term.
sounds fun enough
sorry... I guess sarcasm can be confusing.
let me put it this way...
if obamas admin can legally do it.. so can trumps admin.
No, a list of people who just weren't corrupt enough or obedient enough or both to be of use to trump.
What is interesting is the man not on that list - Rod Rosenstein. He is being allowed to walk away. I wonder why? Is it because he promised the President he would leave quietly as soon as a new AG was appointed?
It will be interesting this Sunday night to find out exactly what went on between Rosenstein & McCabe after the reaction to the Rosenstein "recommendation" to fire Comey. The way I see it Rosenstein thought everyone would have been delighted with his written recommendation, both the President and the democrats who had been demanding Comey's resignation. However, the dems changed their minds when it was Trump who did the firing. There was also plenty of consternation from the liberal media. Evidently Rosenstein had some second thoughts. That combined with the nasty little secret about how those FISA warrants were obtained must have led Rosenstein to run through the door Comey left open for him with those illegal leaks and within the wink of an eye we had a special counsel investigation. No crime mind you, just a full blown special counsel investigation. One that would drag on for over two years, trapping and squeezing anyone who was at one time connected to the Trump campaign.
In the meantime Rosenstein met with McCabe and talked about wiretapping the President and about finding a way to use the 25th Amendment (An Amendment specifically dealing with a President who is incapacitated) to remove the President from office. They discussed who might help in this coup attempt. We will hear all about that Sunday night.
So why did the President let someone so deeply involved in all the sordid details and who protected so many for so long, refusing to appear before congress, refusing to turn over documents (stalling until the democrats took over the House) walk away?
My guess is letting Rosenstein off the hook was a deal to get Rosenstein to resign without the political poison pill of the President firing him.
So, with Rosenstein gone, unscathed the way of Hillary Clinton, Trump was able to move Barr in and make no mistake about it, Barr will clean up the DOJ and put a leash on Mueller!
"The Justice Department held meetings to consider removing President Trump from office under the 25th Amendment, after Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey for lying. If that doesn't convince you there's a Deep State, perhaps nothing will."
So now the heads of our intelligence and justice departments meeting together to discuss the implications of Trumps bumbling firing of the FBI director where he goes on national TV and says it was because "of the Russia thing" is proof of a "Deep State"? Seems to me they were doing their job and if they hadn't met to discuss it they would have been derelict in their duty to protect the United States from threats both foreign and domestic.
Nothing in McCabes book even hints at a secret cabal behind the scenes pulling the strings. If it were they certainly would have coordinated Trumps ouster by now considering he's proven himself a serious threat to our nation. There is no "Deep State". That is pure fiction coming from the minds of half wit conspiracy theorists and poorly educated religious conservatives who listen to them.
You might think that Trump firing all of those listed top professionals from the FBI and the Justice Department, who were pretty much all rock ribbed lifelong Republicans, will somehow protect Trump and Co from being prosecuted for their malignant malfeasances and rampant widespread corruption but then you would be dead wrong again because there are still legions of self respecting loyal professionals faithfully defending the rule of our laws. Thanks though for providing us all a comprehensive list of all the soon to be vindicated wrongly dismissed patriotic heroes and patriots Trump told, "You are fired"...
McCabe and Comey and Rosenstein and the others will all have their days in court and they will not be pleasant... for Trump, his family, his campaign or his lameness corrupt unfaithful administration. History will have its say and it will be brutally unkind to Trump and to all aspects of Trumpism.
Not to mention Hillary Clinton, defeated by we the people of 30 states and 304 electors in her run to cover it all up and Barack Hussein Obama who retired in disgrace and public shame.
Hahaha! And Obama is STILL is.more admired and respected than.the soon to be convicted felon Trump.
He fired them all? Link Please
McCabe and Comey and Rosenstein and the others will all have their days in court
I would hope so, they are not above the law!
History will have its say
And the rogue agents along with the hate filled progressives are on the wrong side of it
That’s for sure. Way on the wrong side of both history and the law.
Judging from the seed, the forces of unfounded innuendo and conspiracy theories are stronger...
Just another false comment.
Obama who retired in disgrace and public shame. \
A total fabrication
Yes the right is on the wrong side of history and is doomed to stay there and never recover from the trump influence. The only ones believing in trump are the 38% that's his base and all the rest are running away from him. Of course Trump continues to pay for his trolls that show how much thge right is on the opposite side of history and the Bible
Not a bad opinion there Vic, however there is no reality to it.
The history of that is not on your side.
No, just defeated by the electors, "we the people" preferred her by around 3 million "we the peoples".
[deleted]
that... and administer "equal justice under the law"
if history does not remember people going to jail for this crap - history will only repeat itself.
are we to live in a banana republic? the next two yrs should clear that question up once and for all.
Who exactly are the great "Obama deep state players" again?
yepp... this thread is getting kind of long huh? here you go....
I would not use the term "great to describe them... I would say "failed"
it seems their insurance policy has expired
[deeted]
some would rather just listen to, and believe the lies, than ever face up to the realities
Which one is the deep state, the one who hides eggs, who leave presents under the tree or who leaves money under the pillow?
Sure, trump fired Comey for lying, that's why he bragged to the Russia Foreign Minister and the Russian ambassador visiting the white house "I just fired the head of the FBI he was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia, that's taken off."
I'm not sure if that was before or after he brag-blabbed confidential information from Israel, just among the BFF GOBs.
Some people can't see WHY trump running to Putin and having non-transcripted meetings, and kissing up to Putin so bad that the majority of the U.S. wondered what blackmail Putin has on trump and firing Comey to end the investigation MIGHT strike people as suspicious and not for the good of the U.S.
And some dips still think the investigation is because of some kind of "deep state" conspiracy?
That's sad.
If it's so fucking secret why did is in a book anyone can purchase? If it was such a conspiracy why did everyone but one guy say it was a bad idea?
More of that persecution complex.
This article displays such a total lack of understanding of our Constitution ... but that's not surprising, since Trump spits on it every day.
Trump spits on those who would attack and defile our constitution and traditional American values.
That's the most ridiculous comment I've seen in here today. And your equating Trump with "traditional American values" would be hilarious if it weren't so pathetic and delusional.
trmp spits ON the constitution since he doesn't understand it.
"Deep State" taking down the Trump?
Nah. The 'deep state' is Russia and sticking oneself to that will take you down. The Trump's wounds are self inflicted.
I find it hilarious that the title of the seed is:
andrew-mccabe-confirms-deep-state-plotted-to-take-down-trump
yet NOT ONE word FROM Andres McCabe is included in the article.
Guess the editor is too enamored with the sight of his own words...
The editor is 100% right regarding every point he made in the IBD editorial that was carried by real Clear Politics as well.
Really Xx? How about this:
So since you insist that he's 100% right, that means that Trump, your GREAT American President, is incompetent. Clinton could 'no doubt squelch any unwanted investigations' but Trump, no matter how hard he's tried, hasn't been able to squelch even one.
Clinton had to accept a Special Council operating without any bounds or limits. Kenneth Starr, after failing compelling evidence in White Water, File Gate, Travel Gate and the rest of the 'Gates', interviewed Clinton friends and acquaintances about their sex lives and even asked for and received a court order to photograph President Clinton's penis for the investigative record.
I wonder how the Trump and the right wing would react if he ( Trump ) were being investigated by a Special Prosecutor operating without limits as Clinton endured?
Trump would be accused of obstructing Justice were he to try to do what you suggest. Had the wicked witch deplorables designator become President, all the deep state efforts against Trump would have been swept 🧹 under the rug and the perps of it amply rewarded.
I didn't suggest it Xx, your '100% right' author did.
BTW, it may behoove you to review what's coming out about Nunes in the last couple of days...
Again, you are stating that 'the wicked witch deplorables designator' would have been able to accomplish something that the Machiavellian Prince has been incapable of doing.
It's good to see you finally recognizing his incompetence.
It would be simple for her co conspirators to hide it all and sweep it away when she wouldn’t give a darn about investigating it and she’d reward them amply for their crimes on her behalf.
Again, you admit it would be simple for her but Trump can't get it done.
It is a lot easier to defend and hide ones own crimes from being known which Hillary would have done as opposed to defending ones self from a criminal conspiracy directed at them by terrorist agents of the prior regime along with those of the defeated witch.
Wait WHAT? You've alleged that you already KNOW of a plethora of crimes connected to Hillary Clinton.
So AG Sessions and Director Wray head a criminal conspiracy that includes terrorist agents? What orifice did you pull that out of?
How do you suppose she would get the GOP members of the Gang of Eight to go along Xx?
Who is Andres McCabe?
Oh look, the typo police.
Troll elsewhere.
They would have trouble finding Trump's dick to photograph.
[Removed]
Who are they and why would they want to photograph that? Many progressive men must be jealous of Trumps junk.
I hate to break it to you, but there is no correlation between political party and the size of a man's genitals. There IS, however, correlation between the ratio of a man's index and ring fingers and the length of his penis - which explains why Trump's photos have been photoshopped to make his fingers look longer, and why he was so upset with the editor of Vanity Fair and with Rubio. So I highly doubt anyone is jealous of his junk. Pity is more likely.
Who said any thing about political party and wee wee size? No one. It is the individual penis of the President of the United States that has become the focus of anal stage progressive hostility and hate toward him. I don’t remember conservatives making an issue of Obama’s dick and hands.
Trump is the one who told the world about his penis. Bring it up with him.
You mentioned political affiliation.
Perhaps because they were never part of the conversation, nor described as mushrooms...
WRONG.....The hand size thing was started by Marco Rubio:
Marco Rubio told supporters last week that GOP presidential rival Donald Trump is "always calling me 'little Marco.'"
"He is taller than me, he's like 6' 2", which is why I don't understand why his hands are the size of someone who is 5' 2"," Rubio joked. "Have you seen his hands? And you know what they say about men with small hands -- "
Yes, and you were ever so careful to not make the same mistake Katrix made.
If you have something to say to katrix, don't do it through me.
[deleted]
The seed is about the deep state and all the Hillary and Obama operatives still in government conspiring with them and those operators recently departed from government to target the President elected unexpectedly over their objections. Please stay on topic.
How can you participate in a derail and then call someone else out for it? Once you've gotten your usual jab at progressives, you THEN want to call him out? Piffle.
[Deleted]
That's YOUR delusional interpretation of the seeded article.
My interpretations is that the article is merely a vehicle for the author to tag a bunch of click bait and try to get readers to as many of his conspiracy machinations as possible.
Hello Don. Please enlighten us as to the correlation between the deep state and the criminal activities of McCabe and his cohorts as related to the size of President Trumps penis. Inquiring minds want to know the connection. Did they all carry out their activities out of petty penis envy? Did they conspire against Trumps campaign and then try to take him out in a soft coup after his upset win because they were jealous of his pee pee and wished theirs was as functional as his? Please enlighten us as to the connection between your perception of the size of his dick however you know it, and the actual content of the seeded article.
Was it the bed 🛏 in the hotel in Moscow? Was that the connection between the deep state and Trumps tool?
A golden shower 🚿 on that bed in Moscow would be a fitting punishment for the characters of the deep state.
Actually, no it doesn't. Most to the raw information in the dossier has been corroborated.
They who?
What lawlessness MUVA?
He did? Link?
Oh and BTFW, even IF that were so, HOW does that prove that the Dossier hasn't been corroborated since?
It was? Link?
It's old news Sean...
You should probably read the actual reports.
The Page reports were false.
The Cohen reports were false.
The Trump sex stories were false.
The report that Trump was an agent of the Kremlin was false.
Even the reporter who met with Steele and wrote a collusion story before the election just admitted, "When you actually get into the details of the Steele dossier, the specific allegations, we have not seen the evidence to support them, and in fact, there is good grounds to think that some of the more sensational allegations will never be proven and are likely false."
Pretty much the only things that have been verified was public information at the time the memos were authored.
They were? Link?
WOW, an APRIL 2017 BREAKING NEWS REPORT.
I'll put it to you this way MUVA, time doesn't stand still. Shit has been verified SINCE April of 2017.
Not a damn thing in that link says anything factual about the dossier.
Nothing....
ANOTHER, 'The Republicans said that he said X in the closed hearing'. I'll take a pass. When you've got a transcript, I'll read it.
Matt Gaetz is an idiot and I don't believe a fucking word he says.
BTFW, we're talking about the Steele Dossier remember?
No what?
Been there, READ that last year MUVA.
How exactly does Simpson's testimony support your claim that the dossier is fake? Please be specific.
MUVA, I am not a wall that you can just throw shit on to see what sticks.
WTF does a FAILED attempt to get a Special Counsel appointed, by the IDIOTS in the freedom caucus, have to do with the veracity of the contents of the dossier?
Post some fucking facts and stop wasting my time with blather from Trump sycophants.
True but it is a good start...
Have you ever posted something that has anything to do with the seed?
I’ll go with no as the answer to that question. You were right to ask it. I expect 🦗 🦗 🦗 chirping and nothing more.
Says the first one that will disappear from their own seed when the fact come out
The seeder replied to Don's comment and did NOT flag it as off topic.
As the seeder, YOU have the ONLY tool available to deal with off topic comments Xx yet you replied to the comment and didn't flag it.
Dissing it DAYS later is BAD FORM.
To the author of the article and the seeder, I submit that there is one thing that you should think about before you dismiss McCabe's book.
The FBI, under Director Wray, vetted it and signed off on it's content.
Now you need to provide a link and while your'e at it, maybe you can tell us if everything McCabe is talking about, on all these left leaning news outlets, are actually in his book?
First of all Vic, I don't NEED to do shit.
Secondly, READ the thread Vic.
I haven't read the book yet. Why don't you do it and post a book report.
I'd greatly enjoy reading a factual, government document that supports your claim.
For your reading pleasure:
You're welcome.
In comment 9 , you said ...
In comment 10 , I asked you for proof.
In comment 10.1 , you gave me a 2015 FBI document. In 2015, James Comey was the FBI Director. Christopher Wray became FBI Director in August, 2017 .
You're welcome.
It may behoove you to note that the document that I linked states:
Which means it came into effect while Mueller was FBI Director and DID NOT CHANGE until 2 years after he left.
You seem to under the delusion that the Agency POLICIES under which FBI employees work change with the confirmation of a new Director.
What lead you to that uninformed and unfounded conclusion?
No matter how you try to dissect the dates in our comments/discussion thread and even throw Mueller into the mix, Christopher Wray didn't assume the office of FBI Director until August 2017. Period. Full stop.
McCabe needs to be locked 🔒 up.
There are a number of McCabe's co-conspirators/allies who merit the same fate. Time will tell.
It would be if it were relevant. It isn't.
On what charges?
OMG! There is something we agree on. McCabe should be indicted on lying to Congress, not once, not twice, but 3 times. Then he should have a fair trial just like several former Trump buddies did.
Lying to Congress on at least 3 separate occasions. We know of several of Trump's former buddies are have, and will, be going away for the same thing. It's only fair when others do it they get the same treatment.
Surely you aren't serious! Do you not know that McCabe lied under oath several times? Wow!
Links? Sessions didn't cite lying to Congress to justify his reasons for firing McCabe.
We know of several of Trump's former and current Cabinet that lied to Congress and haven't been prosecuted. Ironically, the guy that fired McCabe is one of them...
Since McCabe hasn't been indicted, prosecuted or found guilty of ANYTHING, I don't KNOW anything of the sort.
From CNN earlier today -
Where's the 'lied to Congress' part?
Congress/Federal Investigators. Same crime, same punishment. I don't make exceptions for party. I don't put up with it from the right, I'm certainly not going to accept it from the left.
Yes, I see that you're conflating them but the posit was that McCabe lied to Congress. Nothing you or anyone else has posted has supported that claim.
But not the same set of FACTS. Whether McCabe 'lacked candor' [which isn't necessary lying BTW] with the IG investigators is still under litigation but as I said, I haven't seem ANY allegation that he 'lied to CONGRESS'.
BTW, the link you provided states 'or Congress' and that refers to Stone and Cohen, NOT McCabe or the others listed.
Yes, I was incorrect on Congress. It was Federal Investigators. Happy?
But not the same set of FACTS. Whether McCabe 'lacked candor' [which isn't necessary lying BTW] with the IG investigators is still under litigation...
Aren't YOU happy that you are now basing your comments on facts?
As I have said multiple times, that is under litigation. Innocent until proven guilty. That's the standard right?
BTW, as I also said, 'lack of candor' isn't the same as lying. There IS an important LEGAL distinction.
Again, facts are critical, especially when making allegations.
Which means that he wasn’t director of the FBI when he reviewed the book.
Correct. Apparently, my documentation regarding FBI directors and when they served didn't sink in. It's OK; I made my point, and I know that my facts were accurate.
If you're talking about Wray, he WAS the Director when McCabe's book was reviewed. The policy that I linked was in effect for that review.
If proving cluelessness was the point.
