SCOTUS Castrates Congress
Mexico will pay for Trump's wall (LIE!)

SiNNERs and ButtHeads

Here's some typical propaganda from the White House:

From: The White House <info@mail.whitehouse.gov>

Subject: President Trump’s Ability to Protect America Strengthened by Supreme Court Ruling on Border Wall

“Friday’s Supreme Court decision allowing President Trump to transfer $2.5 billion of

Defense Department funds to defend our southern border by building hundreds of miles of

wall to replace existing fencing will protect the American people and our national

sovereignty,” writes Tom Homan, a top immigration official under both Presidents Trump

and Obama.

“News stories are calling this a victory for the president, which it is. But far more

importantly, the ruling that will allow Pentagon funding for border wall construction in

Arizona, California and New Mexico is a victory for our country."

According to SCOTUS (on a 5-4 party line vote), President Trump can "transfer" Defense Department funds to build the stupid border wall he claimed Mexico would pay for.

Trump's wall will NOT stop illegal immigration.  Trump's wall will NOT make U.S. citizens safer.  Bleeding Defense Department funds certainly will NOT make the U.S. safer.  And Mexico will NOT pay for Trump's wall.

Trump loves his fucking "steel slates".  Tests indicate that the slats can be easily cut with with a circular saw (equipped with a metal cutting blade).  I suspect that a reciprocal saw (sawzall) with a hack saw blade can also cut the slats.  I wonder if Mexicans will steal the steel.  They can make money recycling stolen steel.

This video shows that Trump's steel slates were cut in tests conducted by Homeland Security:

It's not necessary to cut the steel slats to breach the wall.  Many tunnels have been discovered that have been used by smugglers bring drugs and people across the border.  It's also fairly easy to climb Trump's expensive wall:

There is also a high tech device that makes it possible to get over Trump's wall.  It's called a ladder.

Trump is counting on the low intellect of his base. He said Mexico would pay for the wall. Now he wants Americans to pay for the wall. The slats. The barrier. There's only one wall that would help America.

You said "I believe you have a problem understanding English.  What's your mother tongue?" which was definitely an insult.

Cobalt then said "Buzz, honey. You have a problem understanding." in response.

It seems Cobalt understood Al Jizz's attempt at humor, as did most everyone else, after you left it wide open with the non-specific "Electrify it".

You then make some snide comment about another member here having trouble "understanding English" even going so far as to question their heritage asking what their "mother tongue" was.

So no one else was confused or having difficulty understanding you Buzz, and you were the only one flinging insults.

You claim that you don't love Trump.  I believe you.

My first article ( Trump is Right ) here was about the then unidentified mail bomber who targeted CNN and liberals who Trump specifically flamed on at his rallies.

I had posted this:

"The far White is blaming "liberals" and Trump blames the media.  They're wrong."

This was your reply:

You cannot deny that it could possibly be an act of false flag as a desperate liberal attempt to influence the voters for the coming election.  There are so many strange facts discovered in those bomb deliveries.  It's necessary to look at every possibility, unless, of course, you are so biased against Trump that all you think of is that it is Trump's fault.

At that point in the thread no one said it was Trump's fault .  You defended Trump when he wasn't being accused of anything.

BTW, the bomber,  Cesar Sayoc Jr., is a die hard Trump supporter (you appear to be a die hard Trump defender).   Here's a pic of the rear of his fucking van (the side windows had similar shit).

Electrify it.

Herman Cain proposed that very thing. It would be prohibitively expensive and there are a few obstacles in the way. The least of which is this:

If [President Cain] decided to go ahead with the construction of an entirely new fence the length of the border, he would run into another fairly significant hurdle: water. The Rio Grande doubles as the international border from El Paso to the Gulf of Mexico. It’s anything but an unmovable line in the sand: In 2008, it rose 27 feet in some places and left parts of the Big Bend region in West Texas underwater. If an electrified fence is submerged, it could be rendered functionally useless.

Cite

It should not be forgotten that tunnels can be dug under electric and any other type of fencing.

Ronin, you're merely uninformed. That's Trump rhetoric you're parroting, and that's not always a good thing. Because Trumplethinkskin lies. He lies a lot.

WASHINGTON – Democrats have rejected President Donald Trump's border wall as ineffective, expensive and immoral. So what are their solutions to border security?

Among them: Better technology. Increased hiring for ports of entry. Improved infrastructure, such as fencing.

Democrats also unveiled legislation last year to expand refugee processing in Central American countries and to disrupt drug cartels.

In a Tuesday meeting with reporters, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said securing the border has been a challenge for decades but "there is no crisis."

* * * *

"There is no invasion. There is no clear and present danger as the president would try to convey to the American people, to scare them and justify actions otherwise not justifiable,’’ Hoyer said.

Legislation the Democratic-led House passed Jan. 3, with five Republicans voting in favor, would have devoted $1.3 billion for fencing and more for border security. The bill would have funded the Department of Homeland Security at current spending levels through Feb. 8 – but it would include no funding for Trump's border wall, which is at the heart of the current government shutdown.

Cite . Your president shut down the government for over two months. Because he couldn't back off from what he said in the meeting with Pelosi and Shumer. His ego is running the country. The emperor has no clothes, ronin. I know you know it.

Don't make me laugh. Because the war against the cartels has worked so well in Mexico?

The United States continues to provide the bulk of its financial support to Mexico through the Merida Initiative, a security partnership launched in 2007 by President George W. Bush and Felipe Calderon. The Merida Initiative is composed of four pillars:
  • disrupting organized criminal groups,
  • institutionalizing the rule of law while protecting human rights,
  • creating a twenty-first-century border, and
  • building strong and resilient communities.

Thus far, the U.S. government has appropriated about $3 billion in Merida aid, including hundreds of millions of dollars to train Mexico’s counternarcotic forces and equip it with helicopters and inspection hardware.

The two governments revised the partnership in 2011, placing a larger emphasis on institution-building, including reforms of the police and judiciary, economic development, and social programs.

In recent years, the United States has sent CIA operatives and security contractors to train Mexican federal police. The United States has also sent unarmed drones to collect  intelligence on traffickers .

Meanwhile, the United States has  ramped up security  on its side of the border, increasing the number of agents there [PDF] from some eleven thousand in 2004 to more than sixteen thousand in 2017.

So nothing new; just throw more money at the same damn problems and expect things to improve.

You want uninformed? Talk to the idiot Hoyer. There is no crisis? Parroting the same stupid talking points over and over does not make them true. Goebbels would be proud of America's left.

I can back up my claims about the Democrats wanting open borders see post 4.1.1.  The Democrats in their own words.

As for the "your president" garbage. I voted and campaigned for Gary Johnson. Neither of the toxic POS the two Establishment parties were running were worthy of being POTUS.

But by all means keep throwing away money on failed ideas that produce no results.

The logistics of electrifying hundreds of miles of fencing and keeping it electrified would be near impossible.

The Dems' Plan is a much more comprehensive plan than the current, "Catch & Cage 'em" Trump policy of the "Dumpster". It includes a complete overhaul of the outdated IMMIGRATION POLICY.  It has been proposed by Dems and sensible folks in government since our FAKE POTUS, real POS in the Whitehouse.

However, we (the mouse in my pocket and me) here, at the "less than prestigious" EAT THE PRESS - DO NOT READ IT, are proposing the "The Impalement Solution".

In short, it calls for "Impaling" the corrupt FAKE POTUS, real "PATHOLOGICAL LIAR", on the Whitehouse fence, as a deterrent to criminals.

Of, course, this would ONLY take place after a "fair and justice" trial in the United State House of Representatives.256

It includes a complete overhaul of the outdated IMMIGRATION POLICY.  It has been proposed by Dems and sensible folks in government since our FAKE POTUS, real POS in the Whitehouse.

So where is the bill? The Dems control the House. Nothing is stopping them for putting their immigration policy in a bill and sending it to the Senate. Of course that would put their idiot policy in writing for all the world to see. It would hurt their chances of be reelected; and hurt the chances of their insane exploding clown car of candidates running ever further left of being elected. Not that their candidates need any help in hurting their chances.

Here is what the Democratic website has about their immigration reform policy.

Democrats are fighting for every immigrant who feels threatened by Donald Trump’s election. We will not stand by and watch families be torn apart — Democrats in Congress and in states and cities across the country are already standing up to Trump’s hatred and bigotry to defend their immigrant neighbors.

Thanks to President Obama, hundreds of thousands of DREAMers have been able to receive a temporary status that allows them to study, work, pay taxes, and contribute to the communities they grew up in. His administration has made a tremendous difference by prioritizing immigration enforcement so that it is focused on those with criminal records and doesn’t arbitrarily separate families, and Democrats are fighting to protect that progress.

Democrats will continue to work toward comprehensive immigration reform that fixes our nation’s broken immigration system, improves border security, prioritizes enforcement so we are targeting criminals – not families, keeps families together, and strengthens our economy.

Democrats know the importance of our country’s history as a nation of immigrants. We honor our fundamental values by treating all people who come to the United States with dignity and respect, and we always seek to embrace — not to attack — immigrants.

That doesn't sound like immigration reform.  Just more attack Trump with no solutions BS.

Where do their candidates stand?

The first debate night changed that. Castro sought to create a litmus test around one element of immigration law that criminalizes border crossings, which has received fresh scrutiny after President Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy of separating families last year. Prior to the debate.l A day later, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who also supports Castro’s proposal, announced a bill that would remove marijuana from the list of deportable offenses.

The discussion continued Thursday as former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Kamala Harris, South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg and six more candidates debated the best path for addressing the crisis at the border during night two of the Democratic debate on NBC. Seven out of the 10 candidates on stage during the second night responded to Castro's call, and raised their hand in support of decriminalization of border crossings, including Harris, Sanders and Buttigieg. Biden did not support the proposal.

The Texan called on Democrats running for president to support the repeal of Section  1325 , a federal statute that makes illegal entry — or entry at a non-established port — a federal crime. Castro confronted one rival in particular, fellow Texan Beto O’Rourke.

Open borders is not an immigration policy.

Here is another source.

The first candidate to unveil policies on immigration was the only Latinx in the race: Julián Castro, the former mayor of San Antonio and secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama. Castro released his " People First " plan at the beginning of April. The proposal revolves around decriminalizing undocumented immigration. Castro calls for the end of the mass detention of immigrants who don't have criminal records beyond illegal entry (which is currently a federal misdemeanor). Castro also proposed a major rollback in Customs and Border Protection's operations to arrest people in the country's border zone.

The next Democrat to release an immigration plan was the only other Texan in the race: Beto O'Rourke, a former congressman representing El Paso.  O'Rourke's plan also proposed decriminalization measures, and, like Castro's, proposed a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented people currently living in the country. O'Rourke additionally called for targeted aid projects in Central America to address the root causes of migration, framing the mass exodus of people from violence-plagued countries like Honduras  as a refugee crisis .

Finally, in mid-June, California Senator Kamala Harris unveiled her own immigration plan . Harris' plan is less comprehensive than Castro's or O'Rourke's, and does not involve any proposals for border issues. Instead, Harris focused on creating a pathway to citizenship for " Dreamers "—undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as children.

So, open borders, amnesty, and sending billions of dollars to the sink holes in Central and South America.

That isn't a plan that is a recipe for disaster.

They had their chance when they controlled the House and Senate; and Obama was in the White House; and instead concentrated on the POS PPACA.  Insurance companies are still reaping the rewards; while raping us.

They don't want any part of immigration reform beyond talk.

We are already bankrupt.

The Democrats actually agreed on several bills that trump himself does not like. Blaming one side is nothing but rhetoric. Neither side has done much as there is not much than can be done. Humanly anyway.

trump himself only wants to brag that he fulfilled a promise. That is all that matters to him. Not the wall itself, not what it is made of, not if it will actually do any good. He just wants bragging rights to say "See what I did".

And...At least Obama wanted, and tried to get something done on healthcare. Unlike any other.

No, Obama wanted his legacy, period. If he wanted to help people so damn much he would renounce his government funded health care for his family. Of course he is rich enough to easily purchase any insurance he desires- and go anywhere for treatment even if his insurance didn't cover it; but then he could at least claim to feel a little of our pain.  He would see what the majority have to go through.

Did you know under Obama we had more illegals LEAVING the country than coming in?

Do you know what a lie is?

But the portrait of a steadily increasing number of deportations rests on statistics that conceal almost as much as they disclose. A closer examination shows that immigrants living illegally in most of the continental U.S. are less likely to be deported today than before Obama came to office, according to immigration data.

Expulsions of people who are settled and working in the United States have fallen steadily since his first year in office, and are down more than 40% since 2009.

On the other side of the ledger, the number of people deported at or near the border has gone up — primarily as a result of changing who gets counted in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency’s deportation statistics.

The vast majority of those border crossers would not have been treated as formal deportations under most previous administrations. If all removals were tallied, the total sent back to Mexico each year would have been far higher under those previous administrations than it is now.

The shift in who gets tallied helped the administration look tough in its early years but now may be backfiring politically. Immigration advocates plan protests across the country this week around what they say will be the 2 millionth deportation under Obama — a mark expected to be hit in the next few days. And Democratic strategists fret about a decline in Latino voter turnout for this fall’s election.

Until recent years, mostpeople caught illegally crossing the southern border were simply bused back into Mexico in what officials called “voluntary returns,” but which critics derisively termed “catch and release.” Those removals, which during the 1990s reached more 1 million a year, were not counted in Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s deportation statistics.

Now, the vast majority of border crossers who are apprehended get fingerprinted and formally deported. The change began during the George W. Bush administration and accelerated under Obama. The policy stemmed in part from a desire to ensure that people who had crossed into the country illegally would have formal charges on their records.

In the Obama years, all of the increase in deportations has involved people picked up within 100 miles of the border, most of whom have just recently crossed over. In 2013, almost two-thirds of deportations were in that category.

At the same time, the administration largely ended immigration roundups at workplaces and shifted investigators into targeting business owners who illegally hired foreign workers.

“If you are a run-of-the-mill immigrant here illegally, your odds of getting deported are close to zero — it’s just highly unlikely to happen,” John Sandweg, until recently the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said in an interview.

Also, Obama had the recession to aid with illegals leaving voluntarily. So a weak economy is a good thing?

What changed?

When the economy strengthened at the end of the Obama administration the # of illegal border crossings did as well.  The economy is even stronger under Trump; and unemployment is very low. Both are dinner bells to illegals seeking better employment opportunities. But that is all Trump's fault right? Strong economy and low unemployment are now bad things.

However, fiscal year 2017 was a very unusual one for illegal immigration . There was an enormous dip in the number of people apprehended at the southern border in the first part of last year compared with the previous four years, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Sociologists are studying the possible reasons for that dip, but the numbers are clear.
Trump took office.

TDDS at it's finest.

Bitch, obstruct, fight in court endlessly, and above all else blame Trump and play the racist card as often as possible! Ding, Ding, Ding, we have winner!

Total falsehood. It doesn't matter if I think Trump's a racist, if you think Trump's a racist, or if you Aunt Mabel thinks Trump's a racist. The point is that RACISTS think Trump's a racist.

  • In the week after   white supremacist protests in Charlottesville, Virginia , in August 2017, Trump   repeatedly said   that “many sides” and “both sides” were to blame for the violence and chaos that ensued — suggesting that the white supremacist protesters were morally equivalent to counterprotesters that stood against racism. He also said that there were “some very fine people” among the white supremacists. All of this seemed like a dog whistle to white supremacists — and many of them took it as one, with white nationalist Richard Spencer  praising  Trump for “defending the truth.”
  • Throughout 2017, Trump   repeatedly attacked   NFL players who, by kneeling or otherwise silently protesting during the national anthem, demonstrated against systemic racism in America.
  • Trump   reportedly said   in 2017 that people who came to the US from Haiti “all have AIDS,” and he lamented that people who came to the US from Nigeria would never “go back to their huts” once they saw America. The White House   denied   that Trump ever made these comments.
Meanwhile, white supremacist groups have openly embraced Trump. As  Sarah Posner and David Neiwert reported at Mother Jones , what the media largely treated as gaffes — Trump retweeting white nationalists, Trump describing Mexican immigrants as “rapists” and criminals — were to white supremacists real signals approving of their racist causes. One white supremacist  wrote , “Our Glorious Leader and ULTIMATE SAVIOR has gone full-wink-wink-wink to his most aggressive supporters.”

Some of them even argued that Trump has softened the greater public to their racist messaging. “The success of the Trump campaign just proves that our views resonate with millions,” said Rachel Pendergraft, a national organizer for the Knights Party, which succeeded David Duke’s Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. “They may not be ready for the Ku Klux Klan yet, but as anti-white hatred escalates, they will.”

And at the 2017 white supremacist protest in Charlottesville, David Duke, the former KKK grand wizard,  said  that the rally was meant “to fulfill the promises of Donald Trump.”

So while Trump may deny his racism and bigotry, at some level his supporters seem to  get it . As much as his history of racism shows that he’s racist, perhaps who supported him and why is just as revealing — and it doesn’t paint a favorable picture for Trump.

Trump never denounced David Duke and/or his support. Gabbard has unequivocally denounced Duke's endorsement:

Rep.   Tulsi Gabbard   (D-Hawaii) on Tuesday denounced David Duke, a founder and former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and rejected his 2020 endorsement. “I have strongly denounced David Duke’s hateful views and his so-called ‘support’ multiple times in the past, and reject his support,” Gabbard said in a statement to The Hill.

On another article regarding Trumplethinskin: ' YOUR RACISM IS YOUR THING AND WE ARE NOT YOUR SHIELD'
“Publicizing Duke's so-called ‘endorsement’ is meant to distract from my message: that I will end regime-change wars, work to end the new cold war and take us away from the precipice of a nuclear war, which is a greater danger now than ever before.”

While the congresswomen have been much more critical of Israel than traditional Democrats, liberal US Jews said Trump’s insertion of Israel into the melee was a bald attempt to use the issue as a wedge to bolster opposition to the foursome.

“He’s weaponizing support for Israel,” said Aaron Keyak, a veteran Democratic operative who runs Bluelight Strategies, a DC-based consulting firm. “Bringing in Israel on an issue that’s totally not related to Israel. That’s how you can tell he’s weaponizing it.”

“And you can’t get away from the underlining racism of these tweets,” Keyak told The Times of Israel.

He called Trump’s statements “a continuation of the birther attacks” against former president Barack Obama. All four of the congresswomen are American citizens and only Omar was born abroad.

Amanda Berman, who heads the Zioness Movement, a progressive Zionist organization, said Trump’s comments could help fuel anti-Semitism that’s already on the rise in the United States.

“He doesn’t understand the fundamental challenges of the Jewish community in fighting anti-Semitism,” she told The Times of Israel. “People like to say that Jews are privileged white people and who can’t engage in intersectional battles or social justice spaces. He contributes so substantially to that dialogue, which is inherently anti-Semitic. And he is fueling it by connecting Israel to his own white supremacist tweets that attack congresspeople of color.”

Likewise, Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz, a Democrat, tweeted that Trump’s comments were “not helping Israel.”

Bullshit Trump did denounce David Duke.

Not initially. It took him awhile and I'm sure it was strongly suggested by his 'people' that he do so.

When asked by CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday about David Duke and the KKK supporting his candidacy, Donald Trump passed on refuting them. "I don't know anything about what you're even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists," he said. "So I don't know. I don't know -- did he endorse me, or what's going on? Because I know nothing about David Duke; I know nothing about white supremacists." When Tapper said he was specifically talking about the KKK, Trump continued saying, "I have to look at the group. I mean, I don't know what group you're talking about." He then declared, "You wouldn't want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about. I'd have to look. If you would send me a list of the groups, I will do research on them and certainly I would disavow if I thought there was something wrong. You may have groups in there that are totally fine -- it would be very unfair. So give me a list of the groups and I'll let you know." The comments come after   Trump said he would "disavow"   David Duke's endorsement earlier this week. After appearing on CNN, Trump reiterated his earlier position   on Twitter , saying "I disavow."

Those articles also indicate that intellectual discussion is pointless, that those on a particular article believing the left is unhappy with lies and lack of moral stability is worth more than their own personal integrity, believability, truthfulness and character.

Does it make sense to you that someone would come into a discussion to simply utter 'yawn'? Doesn't that indicate lack of intellect, lack of eloquence, lack of credibility, lack of the ability to engage in noteworthy intellectual discourse? I myself have been guilty of that and so I apologize to any I have offended. I have to do better and be more patient. CB and I are having a religious type oh discussion on one of my seeds. I just don’t see any value in one kind of Christian by denomination or theological outlook telling those who disagree on either side telling the other that they are destined for the hot place. It doesn’t help in gaining new converts from those who aren’t yet believers or in dealing with secularists who as CB and I have found almost dislike us more for being theists than they like us for being like minded liberals or conservatives. Since we may not agree theologically it may be best that we each worship in denominations or even local churches we each feel most comfortable in.

I don't practice any religion. But I believe in loving your fellow man. I believe that if we all could speak to astronauts who've seen this precious Earth as it really is ... a grain of cosmic dust in the vastness of this universe ... we would stop all the hate and realize we are all one race. The human race. The hate Trump attempts to generate, the chaos he thrives in, the 'wink wink nudge nudge' comments he makes to stir up the worst of the worst of his base, are reprehensible. He knows he's got those who are low on the acumen and intellect chain riled up. He's counting on his base's ignorance. He revels in it. If Obama had said "I could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and my people would still vote for me", I wouldn't have voted for him. If Obama had said he could grab pussies, I wouldn't have voted for him. If Obama would have called McCain a loser, I would have wanted him out of office. If Obama would have called his fellow Americans degrading names, I would have called for his impeachment because I would think he lost his mind. The fact that there are people who don't give a flying shit what he does, including insulting our allies and cuddling up to dictators of foreign countries, are themselves traitorous. The fact that he has stated publicly that he wants to "date" his daughter hasn't changed any of his base's opinion of him and says they're willing to accept anything. He wants to screw his own daughter. That's one sick mother. And evangelicals fawn over the idiot. What the hell. Those religious people who claim him are as sick as he is. Not one of them has an ounce of credibility. Not. One. Ounce. Btw you evangelicals, adultery is a commandment breaker. A COMMANDMENT. They don't believe in the bible. They believe in their agenda.

Lock the fucker up.

You need to look up the definition of "dictator".

Please notify us when Trump refuses to leave office after 4 or 8 years (if he wins reelection); and his followers, or the military, back him so he stays in power.

I cannot tell you how many people who have served America have expressed this to me. When Trump went on a rant that NFL players who did not stand at attention for the flag should be fired, they were appalled. In one form or another, all indicated that's the reason they joined the service, that's the reason they fought for this country, that's the reason they put their lives on the line. So that we, we as Americans, had the choice to peacefully protest. It's why they joined the military ... to keep us free from despots and authoritarians.

Your meme reveals to solution for climbing an "old school" wall.

Trump wants steel slats and some of his NT supporters on this thread advocate electrifying the slats.  That ridiculous wall would require a wooden ladder (since wood doesn't conduct electricity).

The wooden ladder would be even cheaper than the aluminum ladder in your meme.

first of all, the wall will be 18-30’ tall steel slats anchored 6’ underground with a steel anti climbing barrier at the top.  It will also have lights and censors so that activity there will be detected.  No need to risk harming anyone by electrifying it.  Besides with the slick steel anti climbing barrier at the top how are they going to get down once they get to the top?  Drop 18-30 feet to the ground?  All sit on the top of the thin sharp steel barrier maintaining balance until the last one gets up to lift the ladder over to the other side?  Have one ladder per person?  And if there is razor wire on top?

The stupid wall is expensive and will not stop border crossings.

Here's a cheaper solution:  We should use high dollar fines to discourage US citizens and companies from hiring undocumented immigrants.  Butt, we should provide those seeking asylum with work permits while they are waiting for their case to be processed.  And any undocumented immigrants already here should be able to receive work permits if they haven't broken any laws besides crossing the border.

Too friggin' hilarious! Trump will probably call on the undocumented workers who worked at Mar-A-Lago to dig the moat because he wouldn't spend the money to hire American contractors.

It’s hard to know how much Trump knew at the time he was employing all of these undocumented immigrants; he tends to plead ignorance. But we certainly see a pattern of a man who wants things done cheaply and isn’t too concerned about the rules.

So will Trump's supporters, the ones who chant "Build the wall!" at his rallies and thrill to every attack he makes on immigrants, be unsettled by any of this?

Of course not. With the infinite capacity for rationalization they’ve already demonstrated, they’ll say it all just proves what a shrewd businessman Trump is. And besides, their anger isn’t directed at the employers who utilize (or exploit) undocumented labor, it’s at the immigrants themselves. That’s who Trump has urged them to hate, and there is not a thing they could learn about him that would change that.

[Emphasis mine.]

I’m actually more liberal than many conservatives when it comes to immigration and finding solutions to the problem.  I’m open to guest worker programs, expanding legal immigration, finding solutions for eventual permanent resident alien status for those learning English, working or going to school, and law abiding, protecting dreamers, and eventually in 10-15 years after all those applying legally have been resolved, considering citizenship for them.  But, first we must adjust immigration to make at least half of it merit based based on our needs and get rid of the lottery and finally build the wall to Trumps satisfaction, so that we control and know who is coming in.  I’m open to all of the above but won’t consider any of it without the wall.  The way I see it both sides can get much of what we want.  Or if the wall is not built I could support mass ICE deportation of every single illegal alien invader here regardless of circumstances.  Compromise is always preferred of course.
