Democrats cross the Rubicon

Speaker Nanct Pelosi is expected to announce formal impeachment proceedings (An impeachment Inquiry) against the President today at 5PM. Nobody yet knows what is contained in the text of a conversation between the President and the leader of the Ukraine. Tomorrow the text of that conversation is expected to be released completely unredacted & unclassified. It was always difficult for the Speaker to refrain her members in the House. The revelations of a whistleblower report produced the tidal wave that she couldn't contain, not even for one more day. They will need 218 votes to go forward.
The whistleblower is expected to testify this week before Adam Schiff's committee - most likely in closed session. I am certain that once that happens - his/her identity will be leaked! I can't wait for that little detail.
From this day forward Congress will get nothing else done and impeachment will fill all of the news cycle. The democrats are now all in on this. They don't know the details and if they have miscalculated on this, for it is a tremendous gamble, they stand to lose everything!

The President say's the action only helps him, but I doubt he really wants the stain on his legacy. He would be the first Republican President ever impeached!
Assuming he doesn't pull a Nixon and resign first. It's no secret that he never wanted the job, he was just trying to boost book sales.
I think those days are over, don't you?
It's no secret that he never wanted the job,
Lol, he sure fooled a lot people! Nobody ever campaigned as hard as he did!
he was just trying to boost book sales
Lol, oh you make jokes!
It won't happen simply because he owns just as many Dem's as Rep's. The connected up there don't want him to open his REAL books and expose the corruption we all know exists, but just can't prove...yet!
I see, in other words he's another LBJ.
I'm thinking more along the lines of a certain head of the FBI...
Ringing any bells???
Uh-huh
Trump's ego could never handle an impeachment, if the Senate shows any indication of upholding the law, yes he may resign rather than lose.
You can say that again! Or do you still believe Mexico will pay for the wall?
Considering how untruthful he's been about pretty much everything else, from inauguration crowd sizes, supposed millions of illegal voters, to claiming the $16 billion emergency subsidy for farmers was being paid for by the Chinese tariffs, I don't recommend believing anything such a lying moron as Trump has to say.
And yes, Donald John Trump, the commander in-competent, the bully in the white house, the 19 times accused of sexual assault scum bag, the self admitted sexual predator, the Emperor of lies, the King of corruption, the tiny handed tyrant, will be the first Republican ever impeached, but only because Nixon stepped down before he was impeached, so that's a bit of a technicality. The other two Presidents who were actually impeached, Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton, continued serving out their term after impeachment which is very likely to happen in this case as well. I'm just thankful the house of representatives is finally doing their job of oversight even though the Republican controlled senate will prevent the worthless weasels actual removal.
The US Senate just voted unanimously for the IG report. So, you can't really say they are fighting against an inquiry.
though i also feel they would like to, i'm not positive, after the 'whistleblower' evidence,
that they will be able to still support the 'child', who our country , via the EC, Elected.
Time will tell.
What do either of those questions have to do with my factual assertion ?
Well, if you wish for me to elaborate, i could point out Trump has never had the votes of over 50% of the people.
Does that make you feel better ?
Well if you wish to parse words and then misinterpret them,
i can parse words , a little.
Let me know how that works out for you....Again.
You do, huh.
You, no, what i'm a tempting is to draw in, others,
but , i'm flattered, but don't reveal how you saw through me,
as magicians will be pist.
You can take my words however you like, as they weren't written for you, but, i guess, You knew that, already.
yea, that's what i thought.
.
"I know what you are attempting, just calling you out on it."
'You, no, what i'm a tempting is to draw in, others,'
I was just demonstratively exampling how sometimes you do not have a clue.
How much is Sue worth ?
Like a already stated Tex, if you wish to parse my words, i may be up too such a challenge.
Back to topic, why don't you want to get to the whole truth on this ?
,ectjrv
probably more
,
to you, but whatever Tex, i tried to bring you back to topic.
Y does getting to the bottom of a lawful whistleblower denied, get u upset inside ?
I think Socrates had a premonition about the coming of NT
Can I give you some advice? If you keep calling the WB a "lawful" whistleblower people will start to question why.
Bait taken. I have appeared. To Stalk you once again I suppose since this is what you label it when people call you out and sink there teeth into the bones you proffer.
Obama's re-election was the last President since FDR to win more than 50% of the popular vote.,,and the first Democratic candidate to do so--EVER!
Yes, the Electoral College has elected EVERY President since the inception of the United States of America . Not the first time either that the winner of the popular vote lost the Presidency either. Here is a rundown of some of the "scandals" created by the EC .
Much ado about nothing.
The House is Democratic...so regardless of the actual facts its a foregone conclusion they will vote to impeach him and send it to the Senate.
The Senate is Republican. And its a foregone conclusion that, regardless of the facts, the Senate will vote it down. (or probably more likely, Moscow Mitch won't even allow it to come to a vote).
Much ado about nothing.
But WTF-- this whole dramatic brouhaha gives the chattering classes something to discuss,,,a little excitement in their meaningless lives.
When can we expect that?
Dems should probably have waited for the transcript.
But then, facts and reality have little to do with the impeach Trump movement.
Chuck Schumer said even the transcript wasn't enough. (He wants all the speculation and gossip too). All of this is going forward without knowing what was in the call or the inquiry!
Who kept the 'inquiry' from being forwarded to the Intelligence Committee as required by law?
Clearly, that was a factor in Pelosi's decision. I would say that was the trigger.
Clearly, you know but don't want to answer.
No, it was the straw.
Iv'e heard about 5 pundits call it the straw. It tripped the wire. But now youv'e got a process going that may mean democrats losing the House, if they are wrong about this. Is that where you want to be?
Wrong it what way?
I want to be where Trump's Administration follows the rule of law. Since Trump keeps doubling down and litigating every legally issued subpoena, he has left little choice but to open an Impeachment inquiry.
They need evidence the President offered quid pro quo for an investigation of Biden, right?
I want to be where Trump's Administration follows the rule of law.
I assume you are still on the issue of the failure to satisfy the request. Is that a law that is normally upheld? When congress subpoenas people for documents that carries the force of law do they hold people accountable? Is Rod Rosenstein in violation? Why didn't congress do anything? Are we going to hold all the future presidents to the same standards you demand for Trump or will you be telling me 6 years from now why the law technically dosen't apply to some democrat?
No, Pelosi caved to the radical wing of the Democratic House.
They need a distraction from the illegal act Biden did; so they are going to try an impeach Trump.
This shit show is all on her and the House Dems.
Reps.
Gil Cisneros of California
Jason Crow of Colorado
Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania
Elaine Luria of Virginia
Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey
Elissa Slotkin of Michigan
Abigail Spanberger of Virginia
Are HARDLY the radical wing of the Democratic Party.
I know that you don't give a shit but I encourage others to go read their Op/Ed.
Here's a link that isn't pay walled.
The big qualifier in your linked story is "If true".
Seven key national security democrats? Well then, since the President has said he will release the unredacted transcript tomorrow and the WB report as well, somebody is going to have egg on their face tomorrow. The only question is will it be him or the mob.
Why didn't Pelosi take a hard vote today?
That doesn't refute that she isn't part of the 'radical wing' of the Democratic Party.
Well see just how 'unredacted' and accurate it is. Quite a few Democrats have a pretty good relationship with Zelensky.
What exactly should she take a vote on?
Why not? She seems articulate on the issues. What hasn't she done for you?
The whistleblower complaint has far more than just a single phone call. The one transcript the white house will eventually release won't tell the whole story and the Republican spin doctors are already trying their hardest to cover for this criminal President.
And remember, the whistleblower admitted that he got his info second hand. I just can't wait to learn of his/her identity
so much for 'whistle blower status'
thanks Trump, thanks Barr
He/she kept his status Even though the President is excluded from Intell Whistleblower rules. What's the complaint?
If the Wall Street Journal is accurate, the whistleblower isn't a whistleblower as defined by the law, at all.
It is accurate. It dosen't pertain to the President.
Aren't they supposed to remain anonymous ?
Yes they are. Do you think House members can keep the secret once they learn of it?
i thoight it would only be revealed to the eight...?
"The intelligence community’s inspector general deemed the complaint an urgent matter"
"An official at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said the acting director hasn’t suggested the complaint wasn’t serious or credible. Rather, the complaint presented legal questions about whether it fell within the office’s jurisdiction and how to handle involvement of potentially privileged information that required consultation with other parts of the executive branch."
"Michael Atkinson, the Trump-appointed inspector general, met Thursday morning with the committee in a closed-session. Mr. Atkinson declined to tell lawmakers the substance of the complaint or if it involves the president, but did say it involves more than one episode and is based on a series of events, according to multiple people who attended or were briefed on the meeting."
"Mr. Atkinson “determined that this complaint is both credible and urgent, and that it should be transmitted to Congress under the clear letter of the law,” Mr. Schiff said Wednesday.Mr. Schiff on Thursday released letters written by Mr. Atkinson that expressed a forceful disagreement with the Justice Department’s factual analysis of the matter, which he said clearly involved an “intelligence activity” and required disclosure to Congress."
Normally it would, The whistleblower wants to testify! Thus, Adam Schiff wants to accommodate him this coming week. That will most likely be conducted in closed session.
I also have a little theory on that. I have a hunch the call & transcript won't provide the evidence to verify the "whistleblower's urgent concern. Thus he himself has to provide a lot of names & items, sort of like the Part 2 of the Mueller Report. Our "whistleblower" is very likely part of the resistance.
The Inspector General already deemed it URGENT,
no ?
He sure did and Trump appointed him. We still need to see what it is, right?
What does it have?
Reportedly multiple things that were concerning, not just this single call.
I see. Any idea what those might be? Reported where?
Exactly. Thus why i want to hear WB account,
The Wall Street Journal.
" Michael Atkinson, the Trump-appointed inspector general , met Thursday morning with the committee in a closed-session. Mr. Atkinson declined to tell lawmakers the substance of the complaint or if it involves the president, but did say it involves more than one episode and is based on a series of events ".
Thanks for the
Sunshine Act, cause they and eye, don't see i to i
Thanks. I can't read it though without buying their subscription.
Do you have another source? or post the entire article please. Does it even state what the events are?
Another year of getting nothing done.
The Dems just tripled down ..... i hear a death knell tolling for a lot of Dem congresspeople if she goes through with it and she knows it.
Ya, those moderate democrats who won the house for them. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when the entire nation gets to look at the transcript. We will know a lot more then. It is interesting that Pelosi is acting without the benefit of any facts.
If you would change the channel, you might actually hear cheering that it is finally going through.
As Custer's demoralized scouts once advised: this may not be what you think
Perhaps but that sounds more like the faux confidence the left had in 2016 prior to Nov 8th. How did that work out for you?
You better hope and pray you have something solid on him or a lot Dem's are toast in 2020.
A lot of Dems .....
It's that radical wing of the party. They want to dishonor and discredit this President so badly that they have congressional democrats diving head first into a pool, which nobody knows how deep it is.
Donald Trump dishonors and discredits himself daily, he needs no assistance. If it weren't for the cleanup, deflection and defense put up by the sycophants that surround him he would have been out on his ear the first year.
I let you say it twice. We heard ya.
Let's relate the thing to your seed.
After Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon river he won the civil war in Rome and became the leader of the country.
In no way does the modern democratic party resemble Caesar's legions. Remember what they said to each other before going into battle - "Strength and Honor"
You "let me"? So kind of you. Perhaps you can volunteer to be the nations moderator so you can punish all those speaking truth in this age of lies.
"In war, events of importance are the result of trivial causes." - Julius Caesar
Since Trump took office the U.S. has been in a war for the soul of this country. One side says we should ditch any ideas of honor and honesty because as they say in defense of their feckless lying President "Hey, all politicians lie". The other side, while acknowledging the historic lack of honesty from many politicians, believe that we can be better than this. They have hope for a country that respects the rule of law instead of just discarding it when politically convenient. It's why 57% of Americans disapprove of this lawless President. The actions being taken by congress are a result on an exasperation over the deluge of dishonesty spouting from the oval office.
"The polls, they say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like incredible," - Donald J Trump
Let's all hope that's not the case. Let's all hope that the rule of law will win the day and that Trumps "loyal people" aren't actually as stupid and spineless as Trump claimed.
We don't redo elections. Donald Trump won in 2016. He has been hounded ever since. I don't care what liberals like. He is the President. Pelosi just launched impeachment proceedings, kind of, based on newspaper reports and without evidence nor the key component of having the House vote on it (which would doom the political careers of about 7 democrats). All of which is par for the course.
That's one of the many reasons why we voted for Donald Trump.
Under siege from day 1 is how I would describe it.
All the Dems are screaming is, "For the love of anything don't look at our candidates! See, here is Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump! If we give you an impeachment show will you please ignore our bat ass crazy candidates!"
You have to admit, it's a smart strategy given the circumstances.
The Dems didn't bring this on Trump,
Trump and his actions, have brought this on the Office of the President Of The United States.
Right.....This isn't a distraction for Biden doing something very illegal for his son. Nor it is a distraction from the Ukraine trying to turn over evidence of Democrats taking actions in their country that could be deemed illegal under US law.
It also isn't a distraction for the insane exploding clown car of candidates that are finally being called to task on how they are going to really pay for all of the "free shit"; by the very media that supports them. Seems some of the media are a little worried their taxes will skyrocket; and can do basic math.
Sure it is. Elizabeth Warren was already proven to be a liar on the middle class not taking a tax increase for her Medicare for all plan. By none other than Stephen Colbert. Poor woman acted like she had never heard of her own plan.
Of course Colbert is lying about the costs to tax payers as well; but at least he admits the middle class will take a tax increase.
WTF does any of that have to do with TRUMP, who is facing impeachment ?
If Trump really was concerned about the legality of Biden, why didn't he use OUR Governments resources ?
Why all this back door bullshit and sending of his own idiot Rudy ?
It is all about the elections. The Dems have crap candidates. Biden is the only one with even the slightest claim to being moderate- and now he is in trouble. No Biden, no White House.
Impeachment will dominate the headlines until the general elections. It will drown out Biden's problems; along with the ramblings of the insane exploding Democratic clown car of candidates. Not that the media was doing due diligence with them anyways.
It will be all about Trump 24/7.
You do realize You are providing Motive for Trump, tight ?
It's amazing when you think about it. They are impeaching the President for attempting to get some idea of the conflicts of interest and probable illegal acts of Joe Biden. It reminds me of the Russia probe when the President was investigated for the kind of collusion, which the Clinton campaign clearly committed.
The president has no right to ask a foreign government to investigate his political opponents. Period. end of story.
The "right" wants to muddy the water by claiming there was no quid pro quo. Doesnt matter at all. The act of asking Ukraine to help him smear Biden is IN ITSELF an impeachable offense.
This afternoon Chuck Todd had to repeatedly ask a Republican United States senator, John Kennedy of Louisiana , to stop gaslighting the audience with Trumps bamboozle lines. Kennedy was saying roughly the same thing you are.
Wrong. I know the dems would like to impeach with only that, but that won't even get you the 218 votes. Moderate democrats have already said that as of now they won't vote for impeachment. That is probably another reason why Pelosi hasn't put it to a vote.
The "right" wants to muddy the water by claiming there was no quid pro quo. Doesnt matter at all.
Oh but it does. It's the difference between you getting enough votes to enact the articles of impeachment.
The act of asking Ukraine to help him smear Biden is IN ITSELF an impeachable offense.
FALSE!
If you think that is all that's needed, why hasn't Pelosi held a vote? The President has already admitted that he asked the Ukrianian leader to look into the matter.
This afternoon Chuck Todd had to repeatedly ask a Republican United States senator, John Kennedy of Louisiana , to stop gaslighting the audience with Trumps bamboozle lines.
That's why most people don't watch Chuck Todd
The only way the President goes down is if he told the leader of the Ukraine - I want an investigation of Biden or you don't get the aid. That is what democrats need.
So the question is If Trump said that why would he release the transcript tomorrow?
WHY ?
It isn't obvious enough that withholding what was a quarter Billion - 400 Billion for
WHICH REASON ? Yesterday it was CORRUPTION, Today it was about getting other countries to chip in more, tomorrow we'll have a better idea.
Nope that won't be good enough. They need to hear the deal being offered. There are reasons that money could be held up, including trying to get the Europeans to help out with it. It needs the offer to go with it.
That is what's so incredible. The Biden thing is right out in the open with the coercion/bribery of the Ukraine. No interest by the media or the congress. An allegation is raised against the President and we are on the road to impeachment. Go figure?
Apple to Orange, not even a pear
Right. Biden committed treason. The Dems are vainly trying to get Trump on the same thing w/o any proof; while ignoring Biden's admitted treason.
how's that land treating people these days, cause if you cannot see the difference, i don't think you should be posting others of being Special Ed.
So the REPUBLICANS must have been ignoring it, and continuing to ignore it to this day, no ?
Not according to Rep Kennedy. He promised tonight that Biden will be investigated.
Thats fine. I have no problem with Biden being investigated by OUR investigative bodies, not
inspector detector Trump who'll never Get Don (Adams) Smart, and his bumbling sidekick Rudy Clueslow,
cause that boat don't float
I appreciate that
WTF again, does that have to do with this impeachment proceeding besides Special Ed attempts at deflection, as i know about Special Ed and was drafted.
You sound envious of high protein supplements, but sooner later, Trump will be Cuckled and Putin will let it be Put in.
Nice gas-lighting there.
Kennedy is a senator. He made a fool out of himself on tv this afternoon.
Total shitshow by Kennedy, and he would never answer about Trump. Chuck Todd, in a very rare moment, called him out for gaslighting on this very topic of Biden's son, who HAS been investigated and found nothing. Which is why Trump turned decided to work over a foreign source. Biden is nothing but a big hail mary for the gop, who can't stop the truth from coming out on Trump's corruption.
My apologies to Senator Kennedy
LMAO!!!
No, I looked for it but it doesn't come up in any search engine. Got a link ? Fox news doesn't count.
Truth about that has been out since the 2016 election when he admitted to buying votes on BOTH sides of the aisle. He got elected anyway. The Kingfish lives !
Nancy Pelosi is no longer in charge! If Pelosi attempts to stall now, she will lose the speaker's chair. I wouldn't be surprised if Pelosi announces her retirement by the end of the year so a replacement can be recruited for her district. And if Pelosi does run for reelection there is a good probability she won't remain Speaker.
An impeachment investigation is a nothing burger. This is just more Democratic pandering to avoid doing anything. Demand articles of impeachment. If that finally happens, Trump will be able to declassify all sorts of stuff to defend himself. The FBI, the intelligence agencies, and the State Dept. will be burned. All the dirty laundry will be aired for the public to see.
When are Democrats going to file articles of impeachment? What will it take for Democrats to pull the trigger? Come on Dems; do it, do it, do it! With Jerry Nadler being the front man for the Democratic Party, what could possibly go wrong?
All this sturm und drang !! The whole thing will die on the senate floor. Righties need to calm down.
not necessarily
Are you suggesting there is a certain number of republicans with cojones ?
One can dream, it may be so bad they have no choice.
Trump tried to take the ballz and go home, cause that's what children do, but, children often come back to play the next day, and Trump just can't help but come back and cheat, as it's the only way he's ever known to play a game.
He thinks he is immune, and he isn't. He's just had the GOP stay in line, and sooner or later, Even Republicans, realize it is in their best interest to stop the spin, and put country over party.
He should have been booted a long time ago, but greed and judicial appointee's made the boys, eunuchs.
Allegedly a few had some seed hidden in their pocket, and had planted these seeds, so a few will have fresh fruit in their looms, and little tiny pears, but seedy for sure, but if/when certain lines are crossed, it willbe their own asses and tiny pears they will be attempting to save, and they'll be finally, forced, to do what they know should have been done long ago.
Sorry, the Democrats own this shit. They wanted to impeach Trump before he even took office.
Time to hang this where it belongs, on the Democratic Party.
Of course it's the Democrats doing the impeachment investigation. Sheesh !
Not until Trump's high crimes and misdemeanors are duly reported. May not be so easy to defend when the gaslighting stops working.
Still feeling good about Trump's phone call?
JUST BREAKING:
The IG has found some political bias on the part of the whistleblower!!!!
It's nowhere in the (authentic)media that I can find.
Hannity ? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
As soon as I can get it verified I will post it. Bulletins take a little time to go online.
You may be crying rather than laughing if it's verified.
Got it:
A senior Trump administration official told Fox News late Tuesday that the administration will release a document showing the intelligence community inspector general found the whistleblower who leveled an explosive accusation against President Trump concerning his talks with Ukraine had “political bias” in favor of “a rival candidate” of the president.
The official did not identify the name of the rival candidate. Separately, a senior administration official told Fox News the White House is working as quickly as it can to release to Congress the whistleblower complaint involving President Trump's conversations with the leader of Ukraine, as long as it's legally possible.
The news came just hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi initiated a formal impeachment inquiry by alleging that the administration was hiding the complaint.
The senior administration official told Fox News that the White House had nothing to hide, that there has been no wrongdoing, and that the White House's general position has been that it will make everything possible available to Congress or the public regarding Trump's conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the complaint to the intelligence community's inspector general.
A source familiar with the matter told Fox News this week that the whistleblower had no firsthand knowledge of Trump's July call with Zelensky . Trump vowed earlier Tuesday to release a "complete" transcript of the call by Wednesday.
A senior administration official told Fox News there are a “few words” in the transcript that will raise eyebrows, but it is nowhere near as inflammatory as Democrats have suggested.
The contents of the call, as well as the whistleblower complaint, could throw cold water on Democrats' explosive suggestions that the president improperly threatened to withhold aid to Ukraine unless it investigated Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Republicans had predicted over the weekend that such an impeachment inquiry could backfire on Pelosi, and administration officials have said Trump was concerned only with broader corruption in Ukraine.
Joe Biden has acknowledged on camera that, when he was vice president, he successfully pressured Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, while Shokin was investigating the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings — where Hunter Biden was on the board. Shokin himself had separately been accused of corruption.
The House speaker specifically charged that the administration had violated the law by failing to turn over the whistleblower complaint. Citing testimony that the director of national intelligence was blocking the release of that complaint, she said: "This is a violation of law. The law is unequivocal."
Fox News also was told the White House has taken steps to alleviate concerns about the precedential nature of releasing a transcript of the phone call with Zelensky. With the release of the transcript, the White House has put in place protections to preserve the confidential nature of conversations between the president and world leaders.
And, The New York Times reported that the White House had dropped its objection to the whistleblower speaking to Congress. That came after the GOP-controlled Senate passed a unanimous resolution seeking access to the whistleblower's complaint.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said earlier Tuesday afternoon that testimony from the whistleblower might be imminent.
"We have been informed by the whistleblower’s counsel that their client would like to speak to our committee and has requested guidance from the Acting DNI [Director of National Intelligence] as to how to do so," Schiff said in a tweet. "We‘re in touch with counsel and look forward to the whistleblower’s testimony as soon as this week."
I'll wait to hear the transcripts of the conversation and read the complaint before jumping to conclusions.
OOOOOOOO a 'senior Administration official'.
Well there goes your 'unredacted' thingy.
Your sources are so unreliable. Where is that McCabe indictment anyway?
Sitting on someone desk next to SHillary's is my guess...
Since you compare it to McCabe's indictment, that means that it's nonexistent.
And yet, they should be...
So the Trump DOJ sucks. Got ya.
The ENTIRE DoJ sucks or there would be more Politicians in jail than drug offenders if they actually did their job!
That is rich!!!!!!
Wow, linking a pic of Hannity has to be the WORST source I have ever seen. It's a new low...
Maybe we can learn something from it. That story broke during his time slot. I didn't see anyone else reporting on it.
So, if we find out that the whistleblower had an anti-Trump bias that would single him out as being an excellent source and it would condemn the msm to being exactly what the President has called them.
WTF does the MSM have to do with it? The IG found the complaint to be credible and urgent. The IG briefed the Congress behind closed doors and no one in Congress came out of the briefing and said a fucking word about partisan bias. So WHERE did this revelation come from?
And BTFW, who cares? If the underlying facts are credible and urgent, WHO CARES what party the complainant belongs to?
You questioned the source....Now the story is coming out (as you seem to know) and that means that Fox News alone reported on it last night!
I'm not only questioning the source, which at this point is a picture of Hannity, I'm questioning the credulity of your 'story' AND asking WHY it's relevant.
It was at one point a picture of Hannity until a few minutes later when I got it in print - then I provided a link. Like you were blind to that!
I'm questioning the credulity of your 'story' AND asking WHY it's relevant.
Bias on the part of a "whistleblower" IS ALWAYS RELEVANT! But it's ok, today we get the transcript of the conversation.
I think exactly the same thing whenever i see the CNN logo, or NBC logo, or CBS logo, or ABC logo, or ........
No, I commented on your article based on a 'Senior Administration official'. Trump bitches about 'unnamed sources'. Members here bitch about 'unnamed sources'. But you think that this issue should turn on an unnamed source.
Fox 'News' stenographers aren't reporting 'news', they're disseminating propaganda.
Only while investigating the veracity of the accusations. That would have been taken into consideration BEFORE the IG found the complaint to be credible and urgent.
I see that you've stopped claiming that it will be unredacted. Progress.
BTW, it's a readout, not a transcript.
Will you believe a "Readout" ?
No, you were calling a news source into question, now you want to challenge what was in the linked story. There is no hypocrisy involved in calling out a multitude of unnamed sources that produced a long running lie about Russia collusion as opposed to a "Senior Administration official" who's info has yet to be tested, IS THERE?
Only while investigating the veracity of the accusations.
And we haven't done that yet!
BTW, it's a readout,
Whatever you want to call it - It has just been released
Now that it's out - Two things stand out - No quid pro quo and What happened to those 8 mentions of Biden that we heard about?
Trump is wronger than wrong, yet again, but you've already stated unless you hear precise quid per quo, you'll again, give him a pass.
This is against the law.
WTF, would you have given Obama that same pass ?
Hillary that same pass ?
The Trump Appointed Inspector General is the ONE who found it credible and urgent !
Trump asked directly for the Ukrainian to look into the son , and his rival.
.
That is illegal.
A Nothing Burger ……. AGAIN !
But ….. "Conjecture" will abound over this.....as usual !
For those who would like to read it...Here it is:
nope
He got a pass. He DID SPY on Trump!
Hillary that same pass ?
She got a pass. She DID VIOLATE federal statutes!
The Trump Appointed Inspector General is the ONE who found it credible and urgent !
That not a conviction of anything. Another IG has issued criminal referrals and those so designated have yet to be charged with anything.
Can you expand on that ?
What a damming document. /s
Trump broke the law by asking the Ukrainian to look into Biden. Barr needs to recuse himself.
PERIOD
Trump asked the Ukrainian government to assist a US investigation. Perfectly legal!!!!
Good luck trying to get moderate democrats to vote for impeachment. By the way when does Pelosi plan on holding a vote?
No Quid Pro Quo noted anywhere in the "Readout" !
Asking Ukraine to look into corruption on their end !
No 8 times asking about Biden !
Where's the "Law Breaking" again ?
From an individual that knows a little bit about ambiguous statements, don't be such a fool and believe these words can't be interpreted in more than one way is ridiculous. How supporters can be willfully blind is pathetic.
Sooooo…..Your "Captain Conjecture" !
Biden/China is next !
Funny that you get nothing but crickets now from the master.
yea sure
Captain Closed Mind
I'm sure he's pouring over the text looking for any little implication of quid pro quo. One thing Iv'e noticed it reading it is all the private personal info about foreign leaders being discussed. No president should feel the need to release private discussions with foreign leaders. Only this one has to suffer through all this shit. I just want to know who these rats are that pulled this stunt.
Great response !
Open my mind ….. won't you ?
what else do u feed the lizard
nope, i already read all i needed to
.
Trump is again , guilty, and should be impeached and removed
i don't have that kind of Can opener
Pinterest has ideas on that.
Try it !
I never would have released them, never give in to a Bully.
Give them time and I'm sure they will be back to put their spin on it, a couple days at least. Opening with a BTFW....
At least you did some reading. You had more information that the whistleblower did.
Once again he had to prove his innocence. That sounds strange, I know.
Give them time and I'm sure they will be back to put their spin on it
It will come very soon. They have to. Their political lives are now at stake.
he only solidified his guilt
Open our minds !
well my chainsaw won't work, cause apparently, your craniums are lke Trumps wall repairs, steal filled with concrete
fortunately, i do have a Demo saw, but will need more than one blade
Well, but, ummmmm …...
That's it ?
Y waste my time
nothing is gonna change the minds of those who have pre chosen what is real and ignore anything that doesn't fit what they wish and want to be true
Just throw something out there....anything....and just see if it sticks !
No skin off your back if you just "TRY" ….. right ?
"There are all kinds of stupid people that annoy me but what annoys me most is a lazy argument. "
Christopher Hitchens
Another lazy argument.
"Your overuse of emojis is lazy also."
Since you don't "Read", as you always say, there are words that precede those emojis !
Funny how 2 groups of people looking at the same document see it so differently! One groups says "there is no there there!" the other group says "Its worse than we thought!"
Why isn't Pelosi putting it to a vote? She wouldn't be waiting to see what the public thinks?
I believe you !
I believe CAUTION that the readout states:
So NOW ….It's all about a Telecon ?
Do you have any other words in your bag of tricks ?
A picture of Hannity is a 'news source'?
Yes, and I did.
There was plenty of evidence of 'collusion' Vic, they just couldn't prove a conspiracy. The sources of that evidence were ALL named. Get your facts straight.
If you're going to whine about 'unnamed sources' it would behoove you not to post a link that relies EXCLUSIVELY on unnamed sources.
The IG sure as hell DID.
How about we call it what it's labeled as: a Memorandum.
Prove it.
Cite the statutes she VIOLATED.
Point?
Well the DOJ failed to get an Grand Jury indictment on McGahn and we haven't heard a peep about the other referrals. Maybe instead of thinking about having Barr get involved in Ukraine's justice system, Trump should tell Barr to concentrate on US justice...
Obviously it was the link that followed. You know, the one you keep ignoring.

Yes, and I did.
And when are you going to do that?
There was plenty of evidence of 'collusion' Vic,
The IG sure as hell DID.
I didn't know you were a clairvoyant. Please tell us all how the impeachment, that Pelosi hasn't held a vote on, will turn out.
How about we call it what it's labeled as: a Memorandum.
Ohhh
I quoted the CAUTION from the memo, which used the acronym [TELCON] for telephone conversation.
I know that cogency isn't your goal and you're averse to reading facts but if you're going to comment on the Memo, the only way to do so cogently is the READ the fucking thing.
I read it just fine.
You just "Threw something against the wall" !
And it has to "Really" to do with anything …… how ?
In my opinion, NOT being an American and having no skin in the game, unless what Trump did was REALLY bad, I consider the Democrats launching impeachment proceedings is a BIG mistake. If Bill Clinton can get away with the public airing of an intern's blowjob, and humiliating his wife by doing so while he was in office, this Ukraine thing had better be REALLY CRIMINAL BEYOND REDEMPTION, or this is going to REALLY BACKFIRE on the Democrats. It is not only going to increase the resolve of those who voted for Trump, but also will alienate a lot of fair-minded people who might previously have supported the Democrats, and a lot of Indies. I cannot help but think of the lesson learned by Canada's Conservative Party when they posted an attack ad just before an election that made fun of Jean Chretien's deformed face that had been caused by Bell's Palsy - he came from behind and his Liberal Party won by a LANDSLIDE, almost devastated the Conservative Party, and led to the resignation of Kim Campbell, its leader. The Canadian people could not tolerate such nastiness, and surely the American people cannot tolerate such an "attack" on the POTUS.
And for the information of those who want to label me as a "Trumpster", I would have said the same thing if it had happened to a Democratic POTUS.
Well said Buzz. I read today where a good many of those freshman democrats in the House agree with you.
I don't know if you watched it or not but Pelosi looked really uncomfortable giving that statement. Not her normal cocky self.
She knows it's likely bad news for the Dems and dare i say bad news for all Americans. If this goes bad for them, Reps get a majority in the House, keep their majority in the Senate and Trump wins ..... Rep control everything. Not good.
It's never good when one party controls it all.
This was a really stupid move by her.
Time will tell, but when Trump thinks he is lil' kim or Putin, and needs to not answer to anyone for anything, ignoring subpoena after subpoena, all while if he wasn't the POS POTUS he'd be in jail, with his co-conspirator lawyer,
i think this BULL SHIT has gone on far too long.
So now, please explain how you have read the Mueller report, and there is nothing there. Fake news, Witchunts , found nothings...besides 10 other reasons Trump shpuld be gone !
Because congress sed so after millions of dollars spent and thousands of taxpayer paid hours wasted. Dems and liberals were snorting/panting like bucks in rut to get Trump so if they coulda ...... they woulda. What waste.
You really gots to get over your chronic TDS brotato chip ..... it will be your demise .....
Not that you ever will but feel free to mind your business. I wasn't talking to you.
That said, i'll soon be dancing an Irish jig on all the crushed hopes and dreams of TDS ridden liberals. It's not the first and it won't be the last.
Some people will never learn.
The insanity of the Democrats is laid bare.
they have now openly declared war on this country and we will not back down. We didn’t start this war on our Republic. That has been the long term goal of the Democrats.
so bring it on leftists. You will regret starting this war
Progressives will continue to move our nation towards our founders goal of creating a more perfect union regardless of the number of bitter bigots clinging to the decaying relic of the white Christian patriarchy. We haven't always won every battle, but we are winning the war against ignorance, bigotry and stupidity that seems to be the bread and butter of many religious conservatives determined to stop our move forward due to their fear of being left behind. Grow up, stand up, get educated, stop whining about the disappearance of some fantasy "white culture" and move forward with the rest of society into that more perfect union envisioned by our founders.
there is nothing "more perfect about totalitarianism and moral depravity which are cornerstones of Democratic ideology.
In fact they are polar opposite of the values our founders sought to establish
I have never posted in support of any racial culture. I oppose the ideology of "white supremacy" as a sin against God and man.
Understanding the preamble to the Constitution- to form a more perfect union
Words have meanings. Unfortunately modern ideologies say this can be twisted to state that the meaning changes with time.
The preamble restates the reasons for writing the Constitution. It was done to correct weaknesses in the Articles of Confederation. It is NOT an aspirational statement negating the fact that our Constitution is one of ENUMERATED powers, not open ended, unlimited government.
“The Plan and the Premise Prompted by growing attacks on the Constitution in the New York press, Publius laid out an ambitious plan for a comprehensive response in the first number of The Federalist. The question before the American people entailed "nothing less than the existence of the UNION" and "the fate of an empire." America's unique experiment in republican government had reached a critical juncture, and a wrong decision was likely to end in disunion and disaster. According to Publius, the outcome would not only determine the destiny of the United States, but answer the larger question raised by the American Revolution: "whether societies of men are really capable or not of establishing good government from reflection and choice"? With the stakes so high Publius shunned the pose of impartiality, and openly declared his "opinion [that] it is your interest to adopt [the Constitution] … as the safest course for your liberty, your dignity, and your happiness." Aware that such a momentous question affecting so many interests was bound to unleash "a torrent of angry and malignant passions," he pledged to provide a candid and fair appraisal of the Constitution and answer the numerous objections of its opponents. As a self-styled patriotic voice of reason, Publius sets out six broad propositions the papers aim to establish: "[1] The utility of the UNION to your political prosperity – [2] The insufficiency of the present Confederation to preserve that Union – [3] The necessity of a government at least equally energetic with the one proposed, to be attainment of this object – [4] the conformity of the proposed Constitution to the true principles of republican government – [5] Its analogy to your own State constitution — and lastly, [6] The additional security which its adoption will afford to the preservation of that species of government, to liberty, and to property." These divisions provide the basic structure for The Federalist and embody its principal conclusions. Brief headings added to each paper in the first collected edition identify the more specific topics addressed. For all its length and detail, however, the arguments in The Federalist are guided by two basic assumptions: (1) that the rejection of the Constitution would almost inevitably result in disunion and an end to the republican experiment, and (2) that nothing short of the government proposed could preserve the Union, and with it the safety and liberty of the American people. The prospect that the nation could survive under the Articles of Confederation (or a strengthened version thereof) is simply not entertained by Publius. He suggests it would be more likely for the union to dissolve into two or more rival confederacies. The Promise of Union”
There is nothing "totalitarian" about Democrats, that's pure fiction. And as for "moral depravity", the government should never have been in the business of policing morality in a secular society. Only in the dreamed of fantasy Christian theocracy would that nonsense matter. No one is forcing you to be gay, so get your nose out of other consensual adults private lives and relationships. You'd likely be much happier if you didn't spend so much time fretting over what gay people do privately in their own bedrooms, unless that's an image you simply can't get out of your head because deep down you actually enjoy imagining it.
Total hogwash. The founders never intended to impose any religious views on society. In fact, they went out of their way to prevent any government establishment of religion and had just broken off from a nation partly controlled by the Church and had seen what a disaster that was.
Because a lie about a blow job 20 years ago is FAR more egregious than demanding a foreign government investigate the son of a political opponent in exchange for $250 million in military aide already approved by congress. Just another what-about-ism fail.
Where did that "Demand" occur again ?
If you have problems understand what was being talked about, wait for the actual transcript or whistleblower testimony. Willfully obtuse won't cut it though. Nobody needs to provide you with 'proof' since that will be investigated in the hearings. How can anybody get proof when the WH and especially Barr, Trump's personal AG, keeps trying to bury all the evidence bubbling to the top every time? Barr will end up being questioned since he is mentioned multiple times in the call. Should be fun watching him called out.
A request for "Clarification" is a problem ?
"We are ready to continue to cooperate for the next steps. specifically we are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes." Zelenskiy
"I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. " Trump
If you came up to me and said "Hey, I'm dying of thirst here, please can I have some water?" and I responded with "I would like you to do me a favor though because I've been through a lot, and you know a lot about it..." how would you consider my reaction? As immediate assistance or asking for something in return for the water you so desperately need? I get you water, and you do what I want, right?
It would take some serious dementia to see that as anything other than a quid pro quo shake down.
Favors are NEVER asked between leaders of the world......NEVER !
Where's the Money issue actually noted on this so-called "DEMAND" ?
"Equal Standard" :
Obama - "This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility."
Medvedev - "I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir."
